I really liked the balcony and the view over the harbor. And the personal were nice and helpful.
Waking to the marina view and sunshine. Superb bed. Wonderful top floor breakfast, with a comprehensive buffet. Genuine wow factor. Right beside the wonderful old walled town and sea front.
Location, view from room and Balcony (marine view rooms only), great choice at breakfast, free wifi, rooms have been recently refurbished, central location close to old town and rail station, bus station next door, good cleanliness, helpful staff
There can be noise in the street from users of a nearby nightclub on Friday and Saturday night and early morning, I could not get my air con to blow cold air
Ticked all the boxes - location, economy, views and local interest.
We try and overnight here any time we are flying out of Faro. It's a real treat, the views are stunning, especially from the dining room at breakfast. The rooms are not psrticulsrly big, but are very comfortable, and the staff are friendly and efficient. We would recommend this hotel to anybody.
I liked everything the balcony overlooking the harbor was worth the extra sun all day. Felt really safe for a lady on her own. Breakfast excellent Couldnt fault it lovely staff..
Would have loved coffee/tea making facility in room.
Staff, location and hotel.
Breakfast (scrambled eggs)
Price, location, nice breakfast buffet, very friendly and helpful staff. It was my girlfriend's birthday and though we didn't mention it to the hotel at any point, they noticed the date on her passport and asked if this was a birthday trip. On her birthday, we had complimentary sparkling wine, chocolates and fruit waiting in our room. Very nice surprise and a great touch-thanks!
Air conditioning in the room was very poor. Room was always very warm and stuffy. Because our room was on the main road side of the hotel, traffic noise etc meant that opening the windows at night wasn't an option. The beds were hard also (obviously this is an individual preference). So, didn't really have a great night's sleep during our stay. Must be far far worse during the summer months! Classed as a 4* hotel..not sure tbh.
- breakfast was great. - hotel and views from windows were lovely. - gym and sport lessons (zumba + pilates) was great, belonging to hotel room price
- fittet-carpet in the room
It's location and friendliness of staff. Breakfast also good
The air conditioning didn't work. Very hot could not turn it down.
Our room overlooked the marina in Faro and the Ria Formosa estuary. The hotel is centrally located and close to the old town Breakfast was good and the 5th floor restaurant has superb views too.
Could be noisy at night with windows open.
Convenience of being so close to the airport to catch a morning flight home
The usual European thing of no kettle in room- happens throughout Europe! A small complaint from a fussy English woman who drinks a lot of tea!
We enjoyed the central location and the friendly and helpful staff
(Room 400) large clean very comfortable rooms king-size comfortable bed room with balcony overlooking marina good quality buffet breakfast
air conditioning did not work; had to be switched off for the room to cool down. only one light (out of 3) in the bathroom worked could not get the free WiFi to work on our tablets or mobiles
Everything. Wonderful seaview. In addition restaurant with delicious cousin.
Good Central City hotel half board was excellent value
Wonderful location on the sea with a short walk to downtown shopping and restaurants. Comfortable, quiet modern room with a small balcony.
Bed, Bedding, Pillows, Shower, Friendly, Breakfast
No tea-making facilities in room. Rotten view.
Very good location, closed to the town ,bus station and train station.
Location and staff. Lovely view and very nice food.
Levelly breakfast , all staff members very polite and friendly. Amazing view from the window.
I spend Christmas eve in the hotels restaurant, all staff members were professional and very kind and polite I didn't like to see them at work the next morning having early breakfast. No one should work having only a few hours break between shifts.
Comfortable, bright, modern - and warm (we were there in December). The bubbly and raisins on New Year's Eve were a nice touch. The hotel is well located, in the centre and close to trains and buses for those without a car.
The reception area is a little 'clinical' but really everything was fine and we enjoyed our stay - thank you.
Airport transfers Most reception staff Location - daytime Good experiences on previous stays
One reception person Location 2300 to 0700 hours Shouts and yelps from well presented Portuguese youths and girls. Knowingly disruptive and known to the hotel! Last time I shall stay in Faro
We have stayed at the Hotel Eva before. The reason we keep returning is because it is a very good hotel, with nice rooms and a great breakfast room. We had a marina view room which was well worth the additional cost. The breakfasts are great as is the breakfast room. The rooms are great as ours had a marina view with a balcony, mini fridge & a bath with very hot water. We have tried other hotels in Faro but were disappointed by lack of hot water to poor breakfasts which is why we keep returning to the Eva.
This is NOT the hotel's fault BUT the only issue worth mentioning is the noise from the night club revellers who walk past the hotel all through the night right upto 6 in the morning to get to their cars which appear to be parked along the sea front - they have to pass the hotel to get to their cars. Unfortunately the Portuguese youth appear to be as noisy and boisterous as the UK youth !. As they pass the hotel the shout, sing and talk loudly - therefore - you do have to shut the balcony doors to shut the noise out as it does wake you up. Unfortunately this time we saw a girl hide in front of one of the parked cars in front of the hotel at 6am - pull her knickers down and have a wee ! (I suppose she didn't think she could be seen !). This isn't the hotels fault. This type of behaviour can happen anywhere - but it needs to be mentioned - because it happened.
