Score from 467 reviews Excellent
staff and location and generally great
Close to city centre
car parking nightmare
Ineffective shower screen resulting in flooded bathroom and potentially dangerous slippery floor
Excellent location (ask for harbour view), staff excellent, wifi very good, breakfast excellent. Didn't use spa or pool (so no comment). Right in the heart of the old town
Room a wee bit small, carpet a bit aged, bar was small and overpriced (but there are 2 other bars just outside the hotel)
Very near to the town and also very near the airport for an early flight home.
The kindness and helpfulness of the staff
The door to the room binds.
Location. Quality of accommodation.
The staff were professional and friendly, the room was clean and comfortable.
The WiFi internet hardly ever worked.
location, breakfast, balcony view
The hotel itself was beautiful, staff were friendly, rooms were clean and tidy.
The fact that your hotel room door doesn't lock from the inside...so if you have adventurous children or special children like me be aware!!!
Good sized room with very comfortable bed. Amazing views across marina, town and sea. Lovely breakfast on top floor with even more spectacular views across to airport and island as well. Very helpful staff.
Bathroom a bit tired. Grouting needed to be renewed around bath.
Good welcome and room ready even though we arrived at 11am. Restaurant food very good. Very comfortable room with excellent view of the marina.
On our final evening, the room safe, containing passports etc, lost all power and could not be opened. We had to wait until 8.30 the following morning for an engineer to fix it. This was an anxious wait as we had a taxi to the airport booked for 9.00 and could not be sure when the safe would be opened. It was opened in time and the fault was simply flat batteries. Could these be checked during routine maintenance?
Excellent location for old town and all transport needs. Lovely views from balcony and restaurant. Friendly staff.
The location and the facilities make the hotel an excellent start, finish to or a complete holiday in Portugal
Our first stay at the hotel and based upon our experiences to date, the best hotel we have stayed at in Faro. Admittedly 'out of season' which may have afforded all of the pleasant and helpful staff a bit more time to make our stay basically faultless. For our needs, very good and varied selection at buffet breakfast with excellent views across the harbour from the restaurant. Two comfortable chairs in room ... almost a first anywhere! Excellent situation for rail and train links.
Not critically important but there weren't any tea making facilities in the rooms.... however, staff did explain that they could be made available ... presumably at additional cost.
Location, views from balcony, excellent staff, huge variety of choice with breakfast
Nothing not to like
Stayed here for 4 days in September and I loved this Hotel. Cant say the same about my stay this time. I liked the location and the shopping. The dinner was lovely...
Where do I start. I found this hotel cold...staff unfriendly...only friendly member of staff was the Porter who was lovely amd remembered me from my stay in Sept. We had no tea and coffee in our room so asked 4 same which has no milk so had to get some milk from dining room after dinner and got charged 15.00 on my bill...I didnt see this cost till I was in the Airport as Receptionist did not go thru bill with me. I loved the staff and Hotel when I stayed in Sept but have to say didnt even like it this time. I had a eldery lady staying with me and had sung its praises to her about Hotel Eve and was very disappointed...this hotel does not even have a proper english channel...we had come from the Four Seasons in Vilamoura where the staff and facalties were top class...breakfast in Hotel Eve was very disappointing...
great room with good views of the marina, beds comfortable and breakfast good choice
management on reception were not very approachable or friendly. Not told anything on arrival eg breakfast facilities had to find ourselves and did not get a thank you for our custom on leaving.
Hotel restaurant and Bar expensive
air conditioning system ancient and did not work at all very noisy street so could not keep windows open
Breakfast was good.
We ordered a bottle of Alentejo red to be waiting in our room with three glasses. Staff placed a good bottle of wine in the room with the cork already pulled. When we paid the bill we found they had supplied a bottle which cost €40!! This is a sly way of bumping up the bill. There were excellent €20 wines on the list, which would have suited us perfectly. Instead of leaving us a corkscrew and bottle and perhaps a choice of two wines, the bottle had already been opened. This seems the height of dishonesty. Would they have put a bottle costing this price if we had been in a room which cost €66 for the night? Reception were not very sympathetic when we complained. A patronising shrug was what we got.... not what we expected. Manager was not available to complain to when we were leaving.
The roof top pool was excellent. Breakfast very good. Room clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was a little chaotic. Nobody to help you find a seat. But the buffet was excellent.
Great location with a lovely view of the Marina, the old town was really close as were the shops. Bus and train stations 3 minute walk away, bus from Airport was easy too. Breakfast was super, Dinner was also good.
