Shower is small , but ok !
Great location Very nice rooms, colorful, new and clean Friendly staff Very nice terrace
The bathroom didn't have a door, just a curtain
Very helpful staff members ( Llaria Rizzo was so kind as well as Maria Pia ), A Good location, comfortable clean lounges, quiet place, Breakfast was offered upon request .Clean comfortable single bed with white sheet & towels .Towels were changed every day.
I had a room on the first floor with a window opening to the street level. The shutters were attached to the windows from inside therefore impossible to keep windows open for fresh air without having people looking in to the room while walking on the street !!!( very small room with minimal lighting & no air flow or AC), room felt depressing. I requested a Fan & I was given an extremely dirty fan which I suppose was better than none !!! . I stayed 2 nights. The shower curtain needed to be changed or cleaned up at the bottom ( covered with molds). The carpet in the room smelled. I will not call this place a hotel perhaps a youth Hostel !!! A black cat stickers covered windows & every other place in this hotel !!!! I was told the owner of the hotel loves black cats!!!!
Terrible breakfast. Never choose the room 4. I asked for upgrade from dormitory to single room, got this one, for €55(!), on ground floor with the window to breakfast yard and without any condition, so it was impossible to sleep neither with windows closed nor open. I tried to sleep but can't, and was forced to check out in one hour, paid €55 for this one hour and go to find another hotel.
The location was excellent & the staff were friendly.
It is not a hotel as the name suggests - it's a hostel. The pictures on the website are very misleading. The reality was quite different. The walls are not painted but instead have a vinyl type material stapled to the wall. The ceiling is not even painted- It's the same vinyl material stapled to the ceiling! The room itself was tiny with barely room to move between the beds. Those beds are tiny & the bathroom didn't even have soap at the sink! There is no aircon either just a fan in the room which is very loud when switched on. Wifi only worked in the lounge downstairs even though the website says each room had wifi. Very disappointing.
Rooms smelt of damp, showers flooded bathroom each time they are used
Location is perfect. It's convenient to the trams and Metro. It's located in the restaurant and bar area of Lisbon. This area can be a tourist trap but it's worth it for the Lisbon experience.
Beds took a bit of getting used to on the first night but this can happen when you travel.
I loved the staff there especially Maria.she was very friendly and welcoming.
The bathroom was not really good.
Great location (city centre, near metro) and friendly staff are the best qualities of this hotel - we recomend this hotel if you don't mind really small rooms and dark bathroom- location and price are really great
Breakfast was the same every day, walls in the room are covered with some kind of material which makes weird noise when the wind is blowing, bathroom doesn't have enough light and there are no doors, just some kind of curtain. Room is very dark (walls are grey) so it seems even smaller that it is.
Stayed at a few youth hostels, this was the best by far... Staff welcoming, friendly and helpfull. Hostel was very clean and was situated in a great location. I will definitely be returning :-)
Stayed in room 2 on the ground floor, wifi was very poor and only worked at times. I often had to sit in the communal lounge area if I wanted to make use of the wifi.
Staff were very helpfull It was very central Clean and nicely decorated
Only one thin pillow
Decoration, free wifi, cleanness.
No fridge where to store some personal food; minuscule dormitory.
This is a great place to stay, especially for young people who want to take advantage of the location. It is very close (walking distance) to the party zone, cafes, pubs, restaurants and the Baixa-Chiado metro station is 5 minutes walk, so it's easy to get anywhere. The staff is friendly, the wifi works in the rooms, the rooms are clean, the water is hot in the bath. It is very small, cozy, and just right for spending the night in the middle of the town.
The noise is horrible outside in the evening and until around 4AM. Make sure you reserve a room that does not face the street if you are not a party animal yourself. There was singing and loughter right below our window and sleeping was only possible with closed windows, but then it gets too hot. There is no air conditioning in the rooms but there is a ventillator, which is noisy itself and is not enough to generate fresh air. If you are travelling with small children or wish to relax this place is not really for you.
The location was amazing close to the city centre, It's safe to walk back at night yet, queit area!
The room was too small. Not Air condition but the weather wasn't terrible so it was okay Fair breakfast.
Location is amazing
Rooms are really small
price is very cheap in this summer time
14 to 30 rooms stairs
I stayed here back in 2012 and found the location, staff and cleanliness of the hotel to be perfect, close to the bars and liveliness while being on a nice quiet street. Hence why I chose the same one again this year!! Nice lounge and bar area and wifi available throughout. Perfect
In room 11 the floorboard in the floor above is very very creaky, woke quite a few times to people waking on it. It would be great if there were mirrors to get ready in the main room and also some shelves or small drawers for storage?
The staff were so helpful and made my stay.
My original booking was for the dorm room which had a metal spiral stairway too it. It had gaps in between the steps and didn't look safe at all. I therefore could not stay in the dorm but the staff found me a room to stay in instead.
Location for night life and restaurants. We went to Optimus alive festival and needed to get the train to the site, it was only 10 minute walk to and from the train station ( although up a massive hill) was really good location between the train for the festival/beach and the city for the other times. Great communal areas and court yard. Sheets changed and new towels everyday.
Very hilly location! Number 16 only had a shower curtain for the toilet and shower no door.
-location -free wifi -helpful staff
-rooms need a bit of maintenance (wall paper coming off, bath/shower, old carpet) -noise from nearby parties on the weekend -very basic breakfast
Great staff, free bikes and wi-fi, nice view over the city
Lacks cleanliness on shared spaces
