The staffs are very nice The location is ok, near bus, metro, shuttle to outlet
Situation, 50m from underground trains, 3 stops from central town. Good breakfast with choice of fresh fruit, cooked breakfast or continental. Very courteous and helpful staff. No noise from other rooms.
Nothing negative to say.
Lovely place, clean and comfortable. Easy to get into town, metro and bus around the corner from the hotel.
Rooms too small, location not too close to the centre, on a busy road.
I travel light, meaning tech´free, so it was great having the use of a computer with internet for free in the lobby. The breakfast was nice and varied in a good location. In general, a very comfortable hotel. Good shower and TV. The front desk staff all wear black . . . tshirts, jackets and pants which is a good look. The two young guys who helped me check in were friendly and welcoming. I took a cab from the airport and he knew exactly where the place was from the sheet I printed out from booking. So being easy to find was a plus, also. I rented a car to drive to Fatima and they were really close to that A1 road which takes you there. . . so from that perspective it was a convenient location.
Áfter traveling for hours and hours, I just didn´t have the energy to take the metro down to the hot spots for dinner . . . even though they were close to the metro. I wasn´t in the mood to learn a new city´s metro, especially on my own, after dark and so forth. Actually, even during the day I did not venture down into their subway system. This place is apparently in the business district which shuts down on night. So I just blew off dinner as it wasn´t that important really.
Very nice hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast. Location is in walking distance from main sightseeings. I will recomend this hotel to my friends and colleagues.
Everything is great. Nice breakfast, value-to-money is excellent.
The hotel was in the middle of everywhere, it was very close to the subway station and also right across the hop-on & hop off bus station. In addition, the room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.
However, despite the fact that our room was in the 8th floor, there was this thick smell coming out of our toilet. There was a problem, I guess, in the hotel infrastructure, 'cos no matter what they tried we had that smell for the 4 days we stayed there.
A large, spotlessly clean modern hotel in a great location, run very efficiently. Lovely dining room staff and a good breakfast.
Bedroom hugely overheated, and no means of reducing the temperature from 25 degrees (other places we stayed had air con/heating units we could adjust) and the window only opened a little (understandably so on the 8th floor!), so sleeping was almost impossible for the duration of our stay. Otherwise this would have been a perfect base for our Lisbon stay.
The hotel is excellently situated for access to public transport. The Marques do Pombal metro station, several local bus services, airport bus line 1 and the red and yellow bus hop on hop off sight seeing services are all literally on the doorstep. The hotel itself is basically a low cost annexe to the Lisbon Fenix next door so no frills but more than adequate service and comfort. The staff are professional and friendly. No complaints.
Nothing to dislike
Excellent - the best breakfast, personable, helpful staff - English good and good location.
wifi too bad
the frendlly pepole , and it was very relaxing just what i and my friend needed not far for metro and tour bus ,tours were very good ,
there was no kettle to make tea in room ,nothing to comlain about
hotel staff extremely unkindly!
Nice staff, very close to metro, comforable bed, internet for free, close to the old town, quite inside- goog isolation inside hotel, breakfast ok
Lack of good resto nearby, little noise from the street at night
Next to Av. Liberdade; staff is ok; location is close to the airport and close to the city tour buses. Breakfast is good value for money.
Construction next to the hotel entrance; smell of sewage reaches the apartments at the ground floor; sofas at the reception are not comfortable; no frigobar; no air conditioning (the temperature is fixed by the control centre of the hotel at 25c). No place to eat next to the hotel (apart from a bakery in Av. Liberdade and the restaurant at Hotel Fenix Lisboa). Fenix Lisboa seems bigger and nicer than Fenix Garden.
Reception personel (except Diago) is aloof. One evening we came to hotel and they said there is a problem with our room and we changed the room. This was our last night. And for one night we changed the room. The room that they gave us is smaller, and no bathtub, just shower. The bathroom door is like a bar door it is not closing well. It feels uneasy. Also no toilet bowl brush in bathroom.
It was more like a 4 star. The breakfast was great.
Location, nice breakfast, good wifi
Location is excellent. 5 minutes to Hop on Hop off bus stop
no fault with anything
bar was small but adequate.
I love stay in Fenix Garden Hotel, I always felt comfortable. Diogo and Armando are very nice and helpful. ILY
We got the room with a terrace and the view was lovely. Amenities were good. Excellent free wifi. Good breakfast buffet. Loved the sausages and the nespresso coffee.
The rooms were small. It's 15-20 min walk from the tourist spots which is ok at the start of the day but it becomes a hassle at the end of the day when you're too tired to walk. But you can always take a cab or a bus to go back.
We chose to go to HF Fenix Garden based in the already mostly excellent reviews it has - mostly due to its location. And indeed as first-time travelers to Lisbon we found it was close to all the tourist buses and within walking distance of many spots downtown. What really helped our stay was the consistently extraordinary service we obtained from the multilingual staff. Every time we stopped by they went the extra mile to be helpful. And the WIFI Internet was one of the quickest and most reliable we have ever had at a hotel!
Elevators were a little slow but really nothing to complain of!
