this is an absolute superb hotel and I am highly recommending it. 1 minute walk to the metro station that takes you everywhere. You'll never need to take the car out of the garage. parking for 1 night at the hotel's own garage was Euro 9.90. I think that is a hidden charge. |

The room was great, it was modern and clean. There was a good selection for breakfast. The reception staff were excellent, had good English and were friendly. Also the location of the hotel was excellent, right next to the Marques de Pombal and Equardo Park, with a metro station literally round the corner from the hotel. The cleaners were very pushy, they came round very early and banged continuously on the door. |

The bed was very comfortable and was really big too. It wasn't 2 singles pushed together but 1 large bed. The TV had lots of channels in several languages too. Shower was good (no bath). It was a basic business type hotel but done well. The breakfast was good - a lot better than expected: lots of breads, beans, eggs, bacon, cheese, ham stuff, cereals, fruit, juices, tasty coffee but poop tea. The hotel is about a 20 mins walk to the "historic centre" and about 30 to Alfama. It is only a 20 mins walk downhill from Barrio Alto which was nice. There is a metro there. We opted not to use the metro though as we wanted to see Lisbon rather than dark tunnels. The first 2 mornings there was a lot of noise from outside the room. |
