Breakfast was great, rooms were nice and clean, staff was helpful with any questions we asked them, prices were very good... Would definitely recommend !
Wifi reception was a bit poor, and terrace access was closed.
For some € more we booked a privilege room. Spatious room on the executive highest level of the hotel what gives a splendid view over the town till the sea.
Dark entrance hall, small parking places.
- spacious rooms - cable TV
- it was very cold inside the room - there was no mini bar
The breakfast buffet was very good. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The location of the hotel is good and is not far from various bus stops or a metro station. The road that the hotel is on isn't too busy and you can't hear much noise from it. Very clean and tidy rooms.
When booking I specified that our arrival would be at 2pm. When myself and my friend arrived at the hotel my friends room was ready and my room I had to wait an hour and a half for as they were still cleaning it. After getting up at 4.45am that morning I was exhausted and wanted to freshen up and lie down. It also states in the literature in the hotel that check in is available from 2pm - so I wasn't very impressed by that. My friend also had a rather noisy room on the 9th floor - the plumbing from the room above was very loud and every time someone used the bathroom above him it made a dreadful racket. He had to move to another room.
Room spotlessly clean and spacious and staff pleasant
Would have been good to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room and if I'm being really picky the pillows were a little too soft for our personal taste.
The club room for three people was very large (42 sq metres) and comfortable. Location was great, close to Casa da Música and commercial areas. Breakfast was great, with loads of options available. The staff was very polite and helpful. Will definitely go back again!
Some noisy guests were staying in the adjoining room. Although it's not the hotel's fault, of course, that was the only negative aspect of my stay.
Location, WiFi, Room
Staff could be more friendly, breakfast was untasteble
I like the hotel although the fact that is situated a little bit far from the city center and the old part of the Porto. It's close to the rotunda Boavista and the square Mouzinho de Albuquerque, where you can find a big number of public transport - buses and the metro stop Casa da Musica. On this square is situated the hop on and hop off buses stop, which is so convenient when you want to visit the city. Close to the entrance of the hotel is one big shopping center with a big supermarket. In front of the hotel you can see the taxi station. The hotel is clean, with large bed and the rooms are spacious with nice windows. The pressure of the water is good. The choice of the tv channels is good too. On every floor of the hotel you can find vending automats with water, coca-cola, sprite, tea, some snacks. The breakfast - i like the fact that there was a big choice of fruits and juices, and 5 types of coffee with nice machine! I don't like to eat salami, cheese and eggs during my breakfast, but i like some sweet things that they offer.
Some negatives: - we should pay for the bottle of the mineral water, which you can see on the bar of the room - 1 Euro. I think that this bottle should be a little complement for the guests. - there aren't any coffee and tea facilities - the WiFi is a free, but a little slow - limited choice of toiletries, and they do not give you every day a new complect of the toiletries, even the fact that some bottles was empty. For that reason I went to the shopping mall and bought some toiletries. - no razors for men
Staff were Helpful.Breakfast was Very good and acceptable Variety.Room size is very Good.WIFI is working Perfect.Rooms are very Clean.easy finding.
The WiFi was either not working or very very slow (10kb/s). I ended up using my cellphone and data roaming.
Everything was really nice .. and the staff was really helpfull . i come in april again ..
i dont really get about the internet login . al moust time was always off . than musst put on again. i dont why .. it s could be more simple and confortable with pin code .. but anotherwise this hotel its really nice ..
Spacious room and comfortable bed. Close to supermarket.
Not open sushi bar.
big room size, cleanness, rich breakfast, nice staff
The entire hotel uses small blue lights for internal lighting, making it a bit dim, especially in the hallway.
Perfect bedrooms - large and comfortable bed, very spacious, good shower.
Casa di Musica is a bit far from the centre, but still good to walk and the taxi is cheap. WiFi was very bad - unsafe (no password) and often no connection.
- no ironing facilities in room (had to pay laundry services just to get a few shirts ironed) - no kettle - poor wifi - not the most helpful staff
Breakfast was suprisingly good.
For my point of view, maybe, just one little thing could bi better - overall impression about the quality of the furniture and other accesoires in the room is not as I accepted for that rate of hotel accomodation (four stars). I think that "Fenix Porto" urgently needs reurbishing!
Location excellent, upgrade to 12th floor suite.Very helpful staff on reception( Rita ) on arrival secure parking.Amazing centre for Food and Wine just up the road, lovely friendly people...most enjoyable.
Surly male receptionist on checkout was the only thing that spoilt this stay!
The privilege room was fantastic. Lots of space and very stylish. Great views.
My wife and I stayed at the above hotel, HF Fénix Porto and I regret to have to say, that, we got the impression, that the check-in procedure was taken care of by a hotel employee in a rather dubious, and not at all professionel manner.
Rooms very clean and spacious , beds very comfortable and bedding luxurious ! And wi fi included , lovely breakfast too , shopping centre and park with a fab monument close by . 10 mins in taxi from the airport . Would stay again ,
Had a little wait to check in as there was only one receptionist , also vending machine on our floor was out of order , but was a large bottle of water in the room so no prob s
Free wifi is about all I can say this place had that we enjoyed, otherwise, it was a dark, depressing and, if you need to park your car in their dungeon like ramp, scary place to stay in Porto.
Location, we had to drive around multiple times to locate the entrance to park. Horrible parking ramp, straight down into the bowels of hell. We were very concerned about damaging our rental, with the tight turns and lack of space to park..plus they charged us 9 euros for the experience. Dark, strange decor. The whole place looks like and80s nightclub and not in a good way Cheap beds and sheets Spartan room, bed was made up with a plastic pad over a thin sheet Indifferent desk staff. No real interest shown when we asked directions from the hotel to shopping or eating areas. Breakfast was bad, runny eggs and low rent buffet. Avoid this place of you can.
Great value for money. Very big and comfortable room. Nice staff.
Sometimes free wifi did not work very well. Paid internet was available. Hot meals were not available 24 h.
Very large room, secure underground parking with a lift, nice bar area and beer garden. Good breakfast buffet with plenty of selection.
Decor and bathroom fittings dated.
Only complaint was weak Wi-Fi
Very comfortable bed
The restaurant was in vication No good variety in breakfast
