Dorisol Florasol  

Good location. Family room is very convenient There are two big rooms and small kitchen with microwave, fridge, cooker and dishes. The ocean view from balkony is beautiful. The stuff is polite and helpfull. There is good market (Pingo Doce) near hotel. Regular free bus from hotel to center of Funchal. We found hotel for family rest (two adult and two childrend) and Florasol quite satisfies our requirements. Biches of Funchal are inconvinient, stony, rocky and danger. Florisol has good open pool on forth floor.

There are ants in room. Breakfasts are monotonous.

I had actually planned to stay 5 nights, but decided to leave after the first one for several reasons: the floor, furniture and the overall aspect were in serious need of renovation, the bathroom was not perfectly clean, the lock of the entrance door gave a feeling that it could be easily broken, no air conditioning, ... but the worst was the bed, which was noisy and uncomfortable. Luckily they didn't make an issue of my desire to leave the hotel and charged only the one night. I changed to "The Lince" a few hundred meters away. For 10 euros more a day I got a superb modern room with air conditioning and outstanding service!

I stayed at Dorisol Florasol hotel with my boyfriend in mid-October. The hotel was really nice. We had a see view appartment on the 7th floor, the view was amazing, the room was always clean, and we used the kitchenette a lot. The hotel is right by the beach and has a nice pool so we always had a good place to chill out. There is also a shuttle to Funchal wich was very useful. The staff were all really friendly and helpful as well. I'd recommend Florasol because it offers great service and value for a minimum price.

I got greatings card and beautyfull flower for my birthday.Breakfasts were very delicious.We spent wonderful time.

For this price this is good hotel in Madeira. Our family (parents and teengirl) lived in 2 rooms with small kitchen and bathroom (and 2 balcons) two weeks with a breakfast for 878 euros. Town center is 2,5-3 km far, in weekdays hotel offers a bus for free. Breakfast is almost OK, pool is big enough, staff is kind. If you go up to mountain, you find a levada, only 10 minutes by feet. And near hotel there is supermarket, only 50 m.

Orange juice in breakfest was often mixed with water. Breakfest begins at 7.30, but our last morning at 8 we waited for many meals. And the preserved fruits (from a tin) were soured some mornings. Water in pool was cold, but this was season's end, so it's not hotel's problem.

The hotel is close to the bus stops (city ones as well as aerobus), public beatch around 7 min working, supermarkets 3-5 min, cafes and restaurants nearby. There was a perfect breakfast in the hotel as well as the service in the dining room. If the room is on the 2d floor then you'd get a really spacious backony in comparison with the upper floors. Most people at the reception are very nice, kind and helpful! Small kitchen in the room with plates and glasses + microwave +coffee machine and + are to the point!

Hotel bus to the city center is not available on Suturday and Sundays. Internet is only on the 4th floor and signal is good only at dining room area. Thta's really not comfortable if you need to use it in the evenings while people having their dinners at than time. Time to time facility stuff forgets to provide you with foot towel and you are to remimd about it.

The hotel staff were exceptional nice, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic start to the beginning of a long, hot day.

Joskus melu saattoi herättää yöllä ja silloin saattoi toivoa että äänieristys olisi parempi.

Hotel com serviço muito básico, pequeno almoço razoável, mas serviço de quartos muito fraco, sem muda de lençóis numa estadia de 4 noites e camas feitas sem sequer lençol de baixo ter sido esticado. Falta de toalhas e tapete para saída do banho. Um elevador inoperacional e o outro a avariar constantemente, além disso de manhã andava permanentemente ocupado com os carros da roupa suja e em utilização pelos funcionários do hotel.

Het vriendelijke personeel, vooral de man die elke dag weer het ontbijt en dinerbuffet verzorgde. De ligging was gunstig, postkantoor, supermarkt, restaurantjes en autoverhuur bedrijven allemaal binnen 10 meter.

Het hotel is oud en dat is te zien, ook was het niet zo schoon, wel qua linnengoed etc maar het dagelijks onderhoud kon beter.
