Friendly and helpful staff, a bright, clean junior suite and a large bowl of fresh fruit in the room made for a pleasant arrival.The pools/outdoor bar area and garden are nice to relax in. The lounge area is impersonal and uninviting - it should be a welcoming area to meet other guests. There should be a folder in the room with complete information about the hotel, guidance on local buses and taxis, a map of nearby restaurants etc.

Leaving it! The Cuban cigar feeling in the rooms! Dont´t get me wrong it´s totally ok if you want to get the "right" sitting in a Bar in Cuba feeling! And maybe always wanted to go to Havana but dont got the money!?Or maybe you Like the Pirate feeling? it´s there too! "the real live on a old pirate ship" (i think the wardrobe is actually from Christoffer Columbus ship) it sure smells like it! Or maybe you always dreamt of being in a James bond movie?Yes i´m talking about the "real" ones with Sean ConneryYou don´t have to dream any more. You can make it happen! Just check in at Hotell Girrasol and within a minute it will take you back 50 years in time to the "golden years"just make sure to take with your own Martini (shaken not stirred). The cigar won´t be needed! it´s still a strong smoke smell in the walls since the 50-60´s so you save a buck o two there ;) Just put on some old jazz music pour up some Martini lean back and "enjoy" the Girrasol ride!

Das Personal ist überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir waren mit unseren vier Kinder für 14 Tage im Girassol. Uns hat es sehr sehr gut gefallen und würden jederzeit dieses Hotel wieder buchen und auch weiterempfehlen. Im übrigen war dies das einzige Hotel, welches uns 1 Familienzimmer mit vier Kindern angeboten hat. Sehr familienfreundlicher Pool, das Frühstück international und sehr gut. Bis bald :-))

Um hotel com uma excelente relação qualidade - preço. Fiquei acomodado num quarto amplo com vista para o bonito jardim e para o mar, muito calmo e confortável. O pessoal é muito atencioso e célere no atendimento às diversas solicitações. O facto de disponibilizar estacionamento e internet (acesso Wifi) grátis é uma outra mais valia. Fiquei muito sensibilizado com as facilidades ao nível do check-in (early check-in) e do check-out (late check-out), sem que nenhum extra fosse cobrado para o efeito. Gostei igualmente do pequeno - almoço, com uma reposição sistemática e atempada dos diversos componentes. Na minha próxima deslocação ao Funchal, optarei novamente por este hotel..

Excelente localização com optima relação preço/qualidade. Destaca-se a simpatia e disponibilidade dos funcionários tornando o ambiente extremamente acolhedor e familiar. Ficamos alojados numa suite com vista fantastica e a proximidade com a promenade permitia-nos desfrutar de excelentes passeios junto ao mar. Apesar da nossa estadia ter sido em Janeiro o tempo esteve sempre agradável, diria mesmo primavra.

O que mais gostei foi o excelente atendimento dos funcionários do hotel tanto da recepcão como os outros em geral,assim como a paradisiaca vista que alcançava das janelas do meu quarto.Quanto ao pequeno almoço é farto mas muito pouco variado até porque numa ilha com tanta fruta só lá vi fruta de lata,neste ponto poderão melhorar um pouco,mas acho que é um hotel que se classifica como muito bom para todos os que quizerem visitar a madeira. Bem hajam

Simpatia dos funcionários e disponibilidade de ajudar a conhecer a Madeira. Possibilidade de alugar um carro com motorista, sempre à disposição, muito bom. Excelente pequeno almoço.

Os funcionários da recepção são muito bons, muito atenciosos e profissionais. Os funcionários dos quartos são bons. Os quartos do hotel foram melhorados desde a nossa última estada o que os tornou bastante mais agradáveis. O pequeno almoço está dentro do normal para a categoria. Os funcionários do restaurante são razoáveis. Os funcionários da piscina privilegiam os turistas estrangeiros aos portugueses (talvez pelas gorjetas) pelo que penso que precisam de reciclagem / formação uma vez que o profissionalismo tem de estar acima de tudo; o mesmo se aplica aos funcionários do restaurante.
