Mr. Gabriel at the reception - - thanks for the help
Location good staff courteous nice pool and area with good air salad bar good
Room need curtains and separate sheers to allow more light. Mold and Mildew issues Pillows lumpy, duvet cover w/out separate sheet was too hot Room decor was lacking harmony, no coffee/tea option in the room. Food that is non-traditional, rabbit, cooked pork "blood pudding" needs to be clearly marked so foreign guests know exactly what something is made of. There is plenty of fresh milk in Portugal, using long-life UHT milk isn't needed. It's great for camping trips or for countries w/out refrigeration. Fresh milk is always the best. The gym area/pool were not well maintained and the smell of chlorine was overpowering. Steam room wasn't working and things weren't arranged in a neat and decorative way. Also, the color of the walls to a more neutral color would go a long way to improving the energy of the place.
Staff helps you if you have any problems :)
Terrible internet connection, i could not even make a skype call
2 pools incl one large exterior pool Nice restaurant Very large rooms
Requires a car
Very nice location, clean swimming pool, clean rooms, lovely building and reception area. Food good and excellent customer service.
Maintenance of the building and swimming pool area needs urgent attention. Most paving around swimming pool loose ex. Rooms a bit dated. I liked the hotel, but fairly I could not give more than a 6 out of 10. A few years ago could have been a 4 star not any more a 3 star max.
Nice historic building and great view. Both internal and external pools are really good. Excellent staff. Good breakfast.
Some maintenance is needed.
Nothing really not to like - staff friendly and very helpful / great location . Certainly value for money. Pool area needs attention but pool Itself, perfect
Nothing worth mentioning
location breakfast front desk very helpful
pool area was unclean and not well maintained
I had an upgrade to a suite and spa treatment and one of the best breakfast I ever had, all for 48£, done the reservation 3 hours before check in.. Better then many 5 stars i've been before
Jakuzi in the room bathtube a bit to noizy
Room was ok.
Maintenance in the hotel has not been done in years. The swimming pool is dangerous to young children. Tiles broken outside and inside pool. The kids pool had 5 cm of dirty water. The Jakuzzi of the spa had green water. The floor of the indoor pool was very duty, it was not washed in days, maybe weeks. The staff is slow and few.
The staff were all excellent and add to the enjoyment of our stay
Location, staff and extra activities fantastic!
Dark carpets, walls that needed to be re painted and an armchair on the rooms to make it more cozy.
Superb location near Bom Jesus. Excellent value for money. Our tariff included breakfast and evening meal. Inside pool and spa and inexpensive massage. Our large room had great views over garden and outside pool.
Toiletries shelf missing in bathroom. Some electric sockets require attention to take EU/UK adapters.
The friendly service, pool and gym area. There were tennis courts and the option to go on bike rides, excellent for a family.
Directions from city centre may be helpful as difficult to find via coordinates provided,
They have improved tremendously since I was here last.
Spa still has its flaws.
Curtains left a plastic smell all over the room
Very Helpful staff
no indication on hotel website or booking.com that there would be NO water in the outside pool
Damp in ceiling of room. There was no water in the outdoor pool, as we booked this for an outdoor pool was a let down for the children
The staff were very helpful and you could park right outside. The room was nice and dark.
The huge amount of black mould around the window was horrific and didn't look safe at all. The sink leaked badly when used and the shower was extremely difficult to use. The restaurant had one menu where you couldn't chose what you wanted and the quality of the food wasn't great. We won't be staying again.
Location was ok.
The room was dirty the pillow had blood on it and the bed had hairs on the sheets. The bathroom tiles had hairs all over them and the bathroom sink was broken. On top of all this there was no hot water. We checked out the following day as i was ill and we had driven for 9 hours from Gibraltar. We were charged another night disgusting.
Nice hotel set in great area
Poor service and room needs updating
Very nice landscape. Interior of building very nice.
TV set with few channels. No coffee/tea set in the room.
The chapel within the hotel and access to the two nearby churches.
Need to provide the hotel co-ordinates for Sat Nav.
There was a indoor swimming pool and nice breakfest.
The water in jacuzzi was to cold. Place was clean but without atmosphere.
Top bed for the tall! We reserved a standard room with preference a tall bed. Got a free upgrade to room 101 ( a small and simple suite) with a wonderfull large bed ( 220 cm) one of the best during this trip trough the north. There is however some noise from a machine on a lower floor. Nice to have complimentary water and juices in the room!
Breakfast is nothing fancy and the coffee is indeed terrible! In the low season the outside facilities are not really attractive. We thought the bar and restaurant somewhat expensive so drove to town easily. Internet in the room fels out frequently.
