As the first hotel to open in Porto, the hotel is steeped in history. Being located in the main shopping area of Porto. |

The hotel location was ideal in the centre of the historic part of Porto. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a certain charm that is very heart warming. From our room you could hear much of what was going on inadjacent rooms such as showers, hairdryers and movement. |

Common areas were traditional and historic. The position of the hotel is very central. The bedroom floors of the hotel have been "remodelled" to make lots of small pokey rooms. In ours tiny "superior" the air con did not work and the bathroom smelled bad. They moved us to a standard room but did not reduce the price. The hotel staff moved my Range Rover in the underground car park and scratched and dented it. Not good. |

Variety of breakfast. It's little bit far away from some sightseeing points. |

Great location, on the busiest street in Porto (or so they say). Great restaurants around. Just a few minutes from tram/bus. Free wireless internet access in the loby and the superior rooms. Minibar, LCD TV. The rooms are tiny. Wooden floor in the bathroom is the greatest choice. Brown walls in a room with no window is not a good idea. The fusebox was very loud. Appart from free internet the superior room is not superior. |

All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The decor was good, with a luxurious feel in the dining room. The sitting room was wonderful. Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice of tables, and over a 3 hour period. Evening meal was available and very enjoyable. Superbly placed hotel for shopping, and the sights were all within walking distance. |

Location, excellent price, friendly and efficient staff, we got a large room on the recently refurbished third floor so ask for a room on the top floor. great restaurant at the back of the hotel (abadia) so excellent if u check in late and need good food quick ! Hotel gives a feeling of decadent chic which to be honest adds to the character. parking was Eur 9 per day and wi-fi 5 eur per hour which was a bit pricey. |

Central Superior room - was very small with no added extras and very very disappointing. Upgrading to a superior room was a waste of time and money. Superior room bigger on internet/promise of bottle of wine not there. |

We got upgraded to a spaceous room on the top (3rd) floor of the hotel. Nice gesture on our honeymoon! :-) The ground floor hall and the breakfast room are luxurious and with scent of old times' grandeur. The rooms were somewhat more bare, however clean and comfortable. The hotel is right in the middle of shopping street and a fancy cafe ("Majestic"). There was no equipment for ironing my shirts. And even though I left my two shirts right after the breakfast the laundry service couldn't deliver until by noon the next day. |

Wonderful staff, excellent dining experience and value, beautiful interior, excellent location. We took the cheapest room, very small and bed was too hard. Go with an upgraded room, not the economy. |

Charming hotel, renovated in 2007, located in the centre of the city, close to public transport, shops (like the famous shopping street Rua Santa Catarina), monuments and the old town. |
Situated in Porto’s Boavista district, close to the renowned Casa da Musica, this hotel offers comfortable accommodation close to the city’s many historic attractions. |
In the heart of the city of Oporto, right at Praça da Batalha square the Hotel has fully equipped with direct phone; Satellite/Cable TV, internet connection, radio, hair dryer and coffee/tea maker. |
Strategically located between Boavista and Foz, hotel Ipanema Park is just a few minutes away from both the city centre and the motorway which provides access to the airport and the city of Lisbon. |
