Grande Hotel de ParisRua da Fábrica, 27/29, 4050-247 Porto (Show map) Very good, Score from 618 reviews“I liked everything in Grande Hotel de Paris. The words can't describe enough the beauty of this hotel. It is different than all hotels I've ever stayed in. It's like time has stopped and we're back in the past. I felt like staying in a castle/museum. I recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Porto.”

Excellent location. Very nice interier - looks like a museum inside! Very good breakfast with many dish choices. For this money very good fit! The internet (wifi) in the room was not very stable. TV set is very old non-flat and small. Very few TV programs were available, no single English-speaking channels (at least BBC is a must for a hotel).

Very good price and only 5 min walk from station. The room was clean but smelled damp... There are many more comfortable and cheap price hotels near the station or Ribeira street.

Substantial buffet breakfast, friendly helpful staff, lovely turn of the century decor. Room fairly basic, old tiny tv and imposssible to hear the only English channel (cnn). The shower was miniscule and though the power was excellent, the batroom fittings were of poor quality. A bit expensive for a 2-star hotel.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The old building and the decor was nice and old-fashioned and makes a change from bland chain hotels. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The situation is good, being very central. The lighting in our room was awful. There was no way you could read in the evening.

Very helpful and friedly staff that makes the atmosphere in the hotel cosy. Beautiful, comfortable and dignified (reminding about the old "good" times), hotel decor (furnishing). I have no complaints of the hotel. However, would be nice if there were also a Finnish flag among the flags of other countries.

the service at the hotel was really good , breakfast was lovely. We sat in the lovely garden prior to leaving at 6 clock, booked out in the morning and asked for taxi at the hotel at 6 and it arrived minutes later. The told us off a lovely place to eat. very helpful. the only down size was there is a night club near by, but if you are in the front as we were, you have to have, your window closed. that was only friday and saturday. Such a shame if you are a light sleeper. I'm sure if people ask for a back of the hotel room, they would not have problem. We loved the hotel and its old style, service and position. I would go back.

Spacious room, feeling as though you are in an antique museum - antique furnishings - all very beautiful and impressive! Located in the heart of Porto, but at the same time - a fairly quiet street. It is nice place.

The Hotel is an histoiic buiding and as been well kept the hotel staff were very nice and very helpful. The brekfast was excellent with a garden to relaxing in. 2 things that were in convient were that the breakfast started at 08.00 hours and when you have a buesness meeting at 09.00 hours on the other side of the city there is no time for breakfast.

Charming !"Shabby Chic" faded old world elegance.Wonderful ambience .Rooms wth balcony on back side of hotel much better -stunning views and alot quieter.Get to breakfast early 8-10 am b/cit goes fast.Great coffee w/hot milk .Wonderful location /Party area !Best "Bang for your Buck "in all of Porto .Highly reccomended for travelers on a budget that still want a genuine old world experience .Well Done Grande Hotel Du Paris Staff !You were great ! Fixing the lift would be good -theres alot of stairs to the top and if your old or have heavy bags its not convenient .

The hotel has a very good location and you can go walking to Porto main train station. It's decoration is very special and nice, really old styled. The staff wasn't helpful 100% of the time. I remembered that we asked if we could get a taxi and the reception guy said: yes, you can take it in the street. So I have to ask him to call a taxi for us and then he said "ok". Besides being cool to stay in a old styled hotel like this, I must confess it could be a little bit more confortable. Also, we didn't have a bed for 2, instead we had 2 single beds.

The building is beautiful and is decorated with great taste. The staff were really friendly, helpful, generous and professional. The buffet breakfast included in the room rate is the only such breakfast I've experienced that is truly worth eating in. We stayed in two different rooms and there was a noticeble difference between them.

Excellent location - easy access from airport. Basic but value for money - but see below. Very good breakfasts. The rooms with double bed are very small. The bathroom miniscule. Almost impossible to get into shower unless slim build.Design fault.

We stayed here many years ago so it's great to see the improvements that have taken place. It's unlike any of the hotels I normally stay in for business so love the fact it is so unusual. We stayed as a family so we had a good family room that was really comfortable for the 4 of us. Great breakfast (pancakes included!) and lovely staff Thank you!

The social areas are a very charming time capsule. The room are too spartan. Lightning is too weak. There is no bedside light. The windows are very fragile and on the back of the hotel there is a empty building where seagulls nidify what makes virtually impossible sleep whitout very good ear plugs. The staff, especially the night clerk and in the breakfast area are a bit rude and impolite. Wouldn´t stay over again. Not a good price-confort relation and those seagulls...

“The location was center city and near the Old Town. The hotel staff recommended great places to eat, and good directions to the Finicular which we took to the Old Town section. The staff was very pleasant and I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here on any future trip. Rooms were large, lobby large and cheerful.” Betty, Tamarac |
