Family-run Oporto House is in a historic neighborhood in central Porto, a 5 minute walk from Clérigos Tower and Palacio da Bolsa. Its rooms have natural stone walls and antique, wood furniture.

Set in a centenary Porto house from 1907, Oporto Cosy offers rooms with stucco details on the ceiling and a modern décor.

Located in Porto, Magnólia Porto Hostel is a newly renovated building with a typical courtyard. The hostel features modern rooms with a private bathroom, as well as free WiFi in all areas.
Score from 235 reviews Very good
- the location is perfect for sightseeing (3 minutes walk from Torre de Clerigos) and travel (proximity of the Sao Bento train station); - very nice and helpful staff (helped us alter our reservation during our stay, printed out our boarding passess etc); - breakfast in the bar next door (small portions, but tasty and enough; the bar is awesome, though rather chilly during the winter); - nice common room and the kitchen; - free cake (though tips are welcome); - cool design (every room has a different theme); - if you want to party: the hostel is in the middle of THE party zone.
- the noise: there are at least 7 clubs (not sure how many because some were closed for the winter vacation) on the same street as the hostel, and it's a very short street. From thursday till saturday earplugs are a must (our room was not facing the street so it was generally ok, but i'm a light sleeper so without them it would be a nightmare. Can't imagine what it's like in the rooms on the "party side" of the building)' - the cold - but it's normal in Spain and Portugal during the winter. In the room the problem was easily solved with the air conditioning, but the exterior private bathroom was very cold.
The location was right in the heart of historical center of Porto. It is located in a street full of bars and many restaurants nearby. Many landmarks very close. The staff was very helpful with anything we asked. Clean and nicely decorated. Would stay again for sure!Great value for money.
Bathroom was cold for winter. Breakfast was poor. There is no elevator but this is very rational since it is an old building. I just mention it to have in mind when packing, jaja!
Good location to visit the city center. The rooms are nicely decorated.
Very noisy street. The level of the music from the pubs around did not disturb me even though you could hear it from the room. But when the nightclubs start around 1.30 am, the nightmare begins and lasts until the walls stop vibrating between 5 am and 7 am.
Rooms were well decorated in rather interesting ways. The front staff was helpful and the breakfast was nice and was located right next door. The common room on the top floor was comfortable and the attached balcony gave a nice view of the street.
There was only one bathroom per floor which could get a little busy at time.
Only stayed one night but wish I stayed more. Bed was comfy staff were all friendly and helpful. Good location yeah great stay
staff, location, cake available to enjoy ( special in the end of a work day :), the place for the breakfast.
one day without hot water.
Very warm welcome, personnel cares a Lot Very authentique unique guest house All rooms with own topic, we stayed in "cinema" showing Old Video presenter and Movie Stars
Location, Staff support & complementary Breakfast.
Cosy rooms . Toilet & Shower in same washroom . WiFi is not working on 4 floor ,only few spots where it works.
The location, in a central and lively area at night. And the breakfast, very complete.
There was no flat sheet in the bed, only an eiderdown.
Location is excellent, nice staff - and I loved the rooms, each designed with its own theme. Would recommend!
Wifi was not available in the rooms, and bathrooms were scary a bit (especially compared to nice rooms).
The staff is helpful.
The dorm is tiny. If you sleep on the top bed, you need to practice some monkey skills before you can reach the bed. Not a user friendly design.
Friendly staff, clean rooms, good location, the middle of the bar area (noisy, so if you look for peaceful hostel this is not the right choice). good breakfast
Showers are not enjoyable, towels are old and small. wifi not working in the rooms
Helpful staffs,, When checked in the printer at the reception got broken so we had to wait quite some time and the staff offered us Porto wine saying sorry for the situation. It has excellent location for city sightseeing. You can get to the famous bookstore like in just two mins. Also many other sight seeing points are in walking distance. Rooms were very clean and I liked the atmosphere of living lounge.
Wifi on the top floor was bad. I couldn't use wifi in my room or lounge neither.
Staff, breakfast, cheap cake, nice lounge and balcony, each hostel bed has a curtain and its own light and plug.
It's so noisy. The street noise is so loud. Sleep is not really a possibility until well into the early hours of the morning. If you plan to go out and party rather than sleep this would be a good place for you. If not, bring ear plugs. The bathroom was not very good. Very cramped. And too many people had to share one toilet . Also, I was booked into a four bed dorm but they put me into an eight bed dorm. Not a big deal but it might annoy some people.
great position. we had the shered bathroom but it is always clean. room large with the shower inside
not accept credit card but there is written they do. the breakfast is a bit poor. if you have a room that faces the street there is a lot of noise of the pubs and disco till late at night
We stayed in a double room, which was roomy and furnished in such a cool way! We got the "Cinema Room", but it seems as though every room has a different theme. The staff was so nice and helpful at pointing out what not to miss in Porto. The breakfast was great and the restaurant next door where they served it was also awesome- we went ourselves for dinner and loved it. Overall great value.
That we couldn't stay longer :(
no hot water...at least not hot enough...around 35....we told the staff before we left in the afternoon, no one were going to solve this problem for us.
Very helpful staff, great location and nice common areas :)
The hostel is located in the best street of Oporto, several coffes and restaurantes nearby. The staff is quite friendly and helpfull.
The internet signal is poor in some places. My room was in the final of the corridor and I could barely use it. The bathroom in the Fado room is tiny.
Great location and perfect if you want to party. It's good cos very central and you have got all the bars and club at your door along with great restaurants. The staff was very helpful and gave us very good tips for eating out on a budget. The hostel itself is very clean and at the top floor you can enjoy watching some TV, cooking, sunbathing on the balcony and if you're lucky you'll enjoy an homemade cake for the hostels guests to enjoy. Yummy !! We had a double room with en suite bathroom and it was a big double room too, with a very comfy bed. Very cosy too. Although I was glad I had good earplugs as the room was on the street, don't forget them if you want an early night. We stayed for three nights and really enjoyed this hostel and Porto itself. Great city and would definitely recommend this hostel to friends.
Breakfast was good but we ate the same thing for three days. Can get a bit boring but it was still tasty and the place beautiful.
Freindly staff, Very clean, Awesome terrace, Great kitchen and large chill out zone on top level, Funky rooms also, Central to the sites of Porto City, Wifi quick, Safe area, Overall I would stay again.
I'm grateful for the effort of free breaky but it was stale bread and mushy fruit, and construction site in full force in the early hours,
Good points, staff welcoming, helpful and friendly. The bunks were cosy and comfy with a lot of privacy. Kitchen, lounge and the and terrace was super.I would definitely recommend this hostel.
However no scores for the shared bathroom on 3rd floor, it was very cramped.
the style of the hotel looks nice and for party people, you couldn't be more central since it is in the main party street of porto
since we were arriving really early, we asked to get the room as soon as possible but couldn't get in before 3.30pm the bed were really short and the room extremely small (no space to leave any luggage) the glass bathroom is ok but way to small The wifi wasn't working well
Great service, clean sheets that are soft, beautiful decor, great breakfast... All around an excellent place to stay. Would definitely recommend!!!
The location was right next to a night club, one that parties until 5 am
- super friendly staff, they give good tips and advice for things to visit - free cake in the salon - good location in the center - clean room and bathroom - baby friendly: baby bed and even baby towel - good breakfast in the nearby restaurant
- we traveled with our 11-month old baby and slept on the street side, which has a lot of bars. Loud music until early in the morning (5am), so bring ear plugs!
