The hostel is very owell located, close to the centre, walking distance to Rossio, close to the best Fado bars in Alfama and facing the Teju river. The stuff is very helpful, the breakfast is decent but perfect enough, the common areas are lovely. The place is like a typical for the area home with steep steps and high ceiling. We were staying in room with private bathroom and wc, facing the river.
Just an advice putting a Tv and Wi-fi in rooms, would definately make visitors love the place.
The room was clean. There were towels in the bathroom and the bed was nice. The location was a 5 minute walk from the big square which was great and the staff seemed friendly.
The breakfast was pretty much bread (which is rough for someone with celiac disease). And the some of the staff didn't understand English that well which is understandable but sometimes frustrating! Also there was no wifi in the room, and being from Canada the night time was the most sensible to talk to our families and we could only do that in the sitting room two floors down. Overall a great place though.
Location was great. Common areas were very nice. Breakfast was basic but good enough.
Our room has private toilette. Room was nice but toilette was too small and smelt a humedity. They didn't accept credit cards even though it is written in the email confirmation you recieved from booking. After 5 days stay it was a lot of cash to handle.
Location was great, room clean and big enough and breakfast was sufficient. The kitchen, dining and living room areas are nice for socialising. The hostel had a nice atmosphere and in the evenings you could hear fado from nearby restaurants.
Despite what it says in the description, you can only pay by cash and there is an additional €10 deposit on keys. It can be noisy in the night even with windows closed.
The ocean view and the panorama were excellent.
Our reservation was not in the system and we had to wait to get things through.
the easy way of solving problems, with the friendly attitude to each traveler/ great location that gives you the feeling that you are part of this city
the room was big and nice decorated, clean and with the minimum facilities nedeed.
Our room ' windows were close to Alfama area . since the walls are too thin, it was noisy all night .
no parking, breakfast was really modest, there were almost nothing more than buns.
location, nice old building, fado, big room, fado, breakfast (for a hostel), fado, staff, wi-fi
door locks are old and tricky - maid didn't lock our room after cleaning (twice during our stay)
The staff member who did the check-in was extremely helpful. Nice area. Alfama is cool plus the centre is near.
The wifi was terrible. Even standing right next to the router.
Really lovely hostel. Our room was lovely, very nicely decorated. The bathrooms and room were extremely clean and well looked after. Location is good, right next to a tube stop. Price was excellent, great value for money. Would highly recommend!
We could not see the ocean despite booking a room with an ocean view, and instead looked out onto a busy road that was noisy at night.
Cosy atmosphere, lounge, internet facility,
the rooms are very cozy and nice, the location is great and the staff is very helpful and lovely. the stay in the hostel was great.
The stairs...also, the prices are a bit high.. breakfast is a little poor...still, all in all it's a very nice hostel.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Wifi didn't work in our room but it was okay! Breakfast was quite good.
The hostel is very well situated; it is close to the Tage so we had a nice view from our room and it is close to Alfama which is a beautiful neighborhood. The room was clean.
The staff wasn't friendly at all and the kitchen/breakfast was pretty messy. We thought the price was a little too high considering the overall quality.
Having fado music outside our window each evening. A very good location. Convenient to airport bus, metro and tourist sites. Could walk everywhere from hotel.
No elevator and we stayed on the 4th floor. Check-in was also on the 4th floor.
In general everything was ok. Location is very good, staff very friendly and helpful
There was no airconditioning in our room, steep stairs, reception on the 4th floor
the staff is really friendly & helpful
Obrigado. nice breakfast solution nice room with incredibile river sight Good position for transportation bus and metro maybe the best
Bright in the morning wakes u up early. So you have to plan yoir journey in that way
Staff was terrific and very friendly and helpful.
Showers in some rooms are open at the top.
The breakfast/ sitting room on the 1st floor was good
My solo room had no heating on 4th floor BUT was good for my exercise and getting me out of the room to see Lisbon.
good location, conveniente kitchen, the breakfast room makes me feel like at home
no wifi in the room no shampoo located in a building quite dirty and old
The location is great, near the old part of town, and 10 minutes walk to the metro station and city centre. The room was clean.
Breakfast was bad and poor. If you are looking for a stay with a nice various and aboundand breakfast then this is not the accomodation for you. For breakfast we had coffee, milk, cereals and marmalade. No frute, no cheese.... The goog thing is that you have a kitchen on your disposal. There are also a lot of stears till the reception, nothing bed, but maby not so gud for old guests.
atmosphere in the hostel was very friendly.
