Excellent location. In a historical centre of a very beautiful village. Very good price for a family of 4 (kids with 11 and 14). Good food although a little bit pricey.
Wi-fi. It works very nice in the hall but not in the room or even in certain locations of the living room.
Very nice & peacefully. Super view from highest point of a fortified town. Visited a few times & it had always been very good
Excellent service from the staff, very friendly owners. Location is perfect. All was clean and in good condition. Food was great, both at dinner in the restaurant and at breakfast (including some nice homemade products).
Very friendly staff. Excellent location, great little town to visit.
The whole visit to the town of Almeida and this hotel was a delightful experience. From the moment we stepped through the door we felt welcome, the atmosphere was clean and bright but cosy, the staff top gear. The room was large and airy with a great view, well appointed, everything in the bathroom was good. The hotel restaurant was very good and the food and menu 100%.

A bit outdated
Breakfast The fort itself The room
Need to make better use of the exterior of the fort as well as the interior.
The site which is the town, a whole fort in fact, absolutely unique, worth staying there in fact just for this alone.
clean facilities, attractive room
dinner service not great but food good
Through Booking.com we got this room for 55 Euros, and it seemed excellent value for money. We had room 215, with a perfect view of some exterior ramparts or walls. And with breakfast included, when we could get some stuff to make sandwiches for lunch also (naughty naughty!), we really felt pampered. Big room; comfy bed; fridge; good shower and a bath tub too. . . . Excellent.
No complaints, really. The service in the restaurant at dinner was painfully slow, but I think on this particular evening they had trouble with their grill, so I hate to generalise.
Most interesting place; Lovely location; regular staging post for us getting back to Portugal; Good food; Warm welcome, nice large rooms, with balconies
Not many people staying there - there should be, it's a really nice place!!
Everything. Warm. Food. Welcome. Unique setting. Recommend highly
Hotel was excellent with magnificant views. Large rooms spotlessly clean
Food menu was a bit limited
