The staff were all very helpful and professional and our room was spotless and serviced well every day. The breakfast was very good and the location, on a quiet sidestreet close to the metro, was fine. |

I had no fault with the Aviz. I found the breakfast lovely and the reception very helpful, the rooms comfortable and very clean, the bar is what it says it is - in the reception . Having done a lot of research it was the best value hotel as we wanted two rooms for single use (which in most hotels is almost double the price) I would definitely recommend it. I have no complaint and having spoken with my elderly mother she says the bath was too slippy obviously bathmats are considered unhygienic but there was no handle to get out so she couldn,t use it. She would have liked to have known that they would get English speaking newspapers for us (in their defense I never asked though). She would also like tea making facilities in the room |

The staff was most helpful and very courteous. I had heard that the rooms were very small but we received an upgrade so ours was very good. The location is great. The only thing that I can think of is that the scrambled eggs in the breakfast were very bad. |

The quiet location is excellent for both business and holidaymakers with access to metro, bus hub and taxi rank very close by. The major city centre sites are within a couple of metro stops or walking distance. Inspired by our stay in the Calouste Gulbenkian Suite we visited the unmissable museum of the same name. This is close to Lisbon's only department store, 'El Corte Ingles', which has 8 floors of shopping, a 14 screen cinema and surprisingly the best cooking in their 'Restaurant' and 'Taberna' we found during our stay in Lisbon. Breakfast was very satisfactory at the hotel with cheerful and prompt service. We found the staff in the hotel to be friendly and patient, which is typical of the people we met in Lisbon. At times the air conditioning was chaotic and occasionally a strange rubbery smell pervaded our room. The one evening meal we ate in the hotel's restaurant was overseen by a frenetic and somewhat off hand young man. Both he and the 2 colleagues he was overseeing seemed to put in a lot of noisy effort without achieving much efficiency. The meal was no more than adequately cooked, when it eventuially turned up, and was also expensive for the end result. However, generally speaking, we felt that meals in Lisbon, whilst using good materials and of generous portions, are expensive and lacking any finesse compared with Spain ,or the UK, for example. |

Location is great on a quiet side street with no traffic noise. Close to subway station and a short, easy walk into the centre of town. Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is modern and clean. |

The staff was friendly and helpful. This was our first time in Lisbon and they were very helpful giving us a map and pointing out areas we could walk to. The room was very comfortable and we liked the fact that we could open the windows instead of using air conditioning. |

The room was clean and its location was good and I'm sure the rooms at the front of the hotel are okay The room was very small, the bathtub was small and the bathrobes even smaller! Although we did laugh as it barely fitted my Husband! The view from the window was awful, I specifically asked for a double bed and got twin beds, we asked to change rooms - no! And told it was only for one night which really made me cross - one night or ten I was paying and that sort of attitude is not expected from a 4* Hotel - they could of tried harder. If you choose this Hotel make sure you are a small framed person and ask for a room overlooking the street. Sweets on Reception Counter - tasty! |

Pleasant staff, particularly the front of house poeple who were extremely helpful and courteous. The room I stayed in was spotlessly clean and tastfully decorated and the decor throughout was in good condition. Good choice at the breakfast buffet and the hot offerings were appetising- this is a failing in most hotels. The location is great, away from traffic noise but close to a metro stop. Slight lack of atmostsphere in the lobby/bar area, easily remediable with a bit of furniture rearrangment and imaginative lighting. Scented aircon! No major flaws. |

The location of the hotel is very good, right next to the metro station and a 5 minute walk to all main squares. The room was ok, big bathroom and the breakfast variety is better than usual. The staff on the reception were really nice and always ready to help. However, we had booked a non smoking room and the smell of our room definitely suggested otherwise. When we told the guy helping us he insisted that the hotel is all non smoking. The smell was really bad, we had to leave our window open all day when we were out so that we'd be able to sleep at night. The housekeeping was bad as well, the sheets definitely were not changed (we stayed there for 6 nights), serious visible stains where on the cover. Once we came back to our room and found the cleaning glove of the housekeeping lady in one of our suitcases!! The bed was very uncomfortable as well. |

The staff were all extremely helpful and knowledgeable about their city telling us which transport to take and which museums were currently closed which saved a lot of time and frustration. |
