Loved everything about Hotel Aviz. We were looked after so well by all the staff in such a wonderful environment. Within walking distance to many sights and loved getting lost in Lisbon...thank you Hotel Aviz... We hope to return one day...!!!
We enjoyed perfect weather in November and easily walked down town from the hotel. Breakfasts were excellent and the room, though small, was very comfortable and extremely clean.
There was nothing to dislike!
-friendliness of staff -breakfast was as always fantastic -character of the hotel (that is why I am returning) -it was my 4th stay and that speaks by itself
rooms are big and comfortable and well decorated Staff very friendly second time at this Hotel traditional hotel in Lisbon
my room balcony was terribly dirty, did not use that. pigeon's fur an etc. Totally abandoned.
Staff was outstanding. In particular Diogo Pombinho was very helpful, professional and pleasant.
A bit difficult getting in and out of undergound parking lot with a larger car (ramp very narrow)
Bed sheet was very comfy. Good location and helpful staff
the suite was very well adapted for a family with two children
the bar was not open every day, we had to wat 10 minutes for breakfast because lack of space. teh hotel entertains large bus groups
Friendly staff and an excellent quiet location with easy access to restaurants and the sights of Lisbon.
convenient location (good public transport options to the historic centre of Lisbon and to the airport) clean and comfortable room
no street view (room facing inner yard) disturbing noise from the ventillation/AC installation
Friendly and welcoming staff, good bedroom, excellent restaurant, provision of Financial times and a good book-case of novels.
If they could take up the English custom of a small kettle and tea bags in the bedroom that would be the icing on the cake!
upgrade to a suite. Excellent location, breakfast choice good but they need to create more space as when the hotel is full there is a delay with seating more tables for two would be better and maybe downsize furniture to make more space. Some of the staff at reception could do with a course in public relations as I found some of them a bit stroppy what ever happened to the customer being right! Don't know if I would revisit this hotel as I found standards had slipped since last visit cleaning of room wasnt great
Atmosphere,location,facilities,excellent staff esp reception
Bar could have been open later ,felt discouraged to ask for a late nightcap on return each night
Location Good standard of room
WiFi access Breakfast buffet
Nice, spacious rooms
Unreliable internet connection
Very enthusiastic staff. They were willing to help with everything we asked for.
1. Overcrowded breakfast room. Once we finished our breakfast we were asked by the Maitre'd'hotel to vacate the table because of the que waiting for their turn to have breakfast. 2. Wifi worked ok but if you stop browsing for a minute or so it turns off and you have to re-login after every short pause.
lovely rather grand hotel! Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a terrific room with a balcony. Breakfast was excellent. Will definitely stay here again if we come back to Lisbon.
Clean, Good Location, large room, good staffs
sofa bed is not good.
Location is at its best. Tour buses, bus and metro station is just few steps outside the hotel. They serve good variety and great tasting breakfast too. To top it all, staff are welcoming and tried their best to accomodate and made us feel comfortable. Made a good impression as this was our first visit in Portugal.
The folding sofa bed is a little uncomfortable for sleep.
If I return to Lisbon would definitely stay at the same hotel Aviz! Excellent staff! Excellent location!
We liked everything about this hotel. It is quality at an affordable price. The staff are wonderful - helpful, obliging, full of great suggestions and information about Lisbon and very approachable. The rooms, especially the beds are very comfortable and the breakfasts are excellent. Unlike quite a number of hotels that have central a/c, this one is receptive to the controls and the temperature was easily and readily managed. I am at a loss to understand why everybody doesn't rate this hotel at 10.0
Friendly, helpful and very welcoming staff made the stay memorable. Great breakfast too!
The breafkfast very good and service staff was also very friendly and really helpful, which was a great way to start the day. Service and friendliness of staff is excellent.
The cleanliness of the hotel was very late.
very nice hotel, with friendly staff and great stylish rooms
-location, location, location; Very near a metro line; not right in the heart of tourist part of town, but not far either. This means it was nice and quiet on the street but only 10 mins walk from the more touristy districts near the water. Breakfast was great and the staff was wonderful, very helpful. We had a good wifi signal for the most part, although it does get slower when a lot of guests are about and using it (mainly just in the morning)
-the room was quite small and the bed was very old and creaky and rather uncomfortable. (The bed was so noisy we woke each other up each time we turned over) -Breakfast room is small and gets crowded so you may have to wait (we didn't but others were in line when we left)
Just everything. Will be back soon.
