Good Hotel in a safe area. The marketing of the hotel is based on the old hotel that was demolished years ago. I don't think film stars would consider staying in it now! However it is a good solid hotel and nothing wrong with it. It just lacked some atmosphere. The reception area was not what we would expect from a 4 star but still ok. The location is good and 15 min walk into main cultural The receptionist could have been a bit more welcoming. We were given a room on the 2nd floor and it viewed on to a wall so we asked to change it and she did find another on the 7th floor which had a much better vibe. The room on the website show the suites the double rooms are snug! |

Perfectly nice Hotel. Close to metro and park, and in a good area. clean and modern. Everything was fine with this hotel. Only problem we had, was that we requested a twin room via the booking on booking.com, but we were given a double and had to put up with it until a twin was available the following day which was a bit inconvenient. A lot of the rooms also face out on to the rear court yard which is quite ugly and dark, so better to ask for a room high up or street facing |

Excellent central location yet quiet. Beautifully decorated and maintained. Super hot buffet breakfast. The hotel is very easy to reach by bus from the airport. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. |

Very friendly stuff, nice breakfast-location in the restaurant, good choice in breakfast offer, very clean (no carpet!) not that charmful as we expected, a usual hotel with a nice history, not that near to the centre (Bairro Alto) as we expected (use of metro or taxi) |

Very good hotel overall. Very comfortable, we stayed 4 nights and were upgraded to a suite without asking, which was great! Staff very pleasant and efficient. Ate in hotel restaurant one night. Excellent! Very busy as people arrived (some very late) without reservations but waiters (only 2)remained very pleasant and provided very good service. Buffet breakfast excellent. Two small things: hook missing from back of bathroom door and the doorstop in the bathroom was right in front of the toilet, a rather stupid place to be as we both kept forgetting about it and tripping over it or banging our toe(s) into it! |

Fine, cosy hotel in silent city centre. It is conveniently located. The ideal personnel. Qualitative and tasty meal at restaurant. Intelligent lodgers. I Am sorry for my bad English! It is necessary to organize a zone for smoking. For me absence of an opportunity to smoke became the big problem! |
