Hotel Balaia Mar  

very calm in the night, close to the beach, nice beach, great food, great staff, big bathroom, air condition available, nice big terrace, very nice hotel design (restaurant next to the swimming pool)...

Have stayed here several times and will return again. Nice quiet area very relaxing short walk to shops restaurants and nice beaches. Good pool area very clean all staff friendly and helpful. Good for couples not much there for kids but thats what we like nice and relaxing

The Balaia Mar has the most terrific staff who are really customer focussed. Our trip was a Stag weekend in March and we had concerns about out of season, weather etc...Well we should not have been concerned as the Hotel was beautifully presented. The rooms were clean, the housekeeping staff could not do enough (we arrived 5 hours before check in and room were prepared for us right away) 5 mins from the beach.Wonderful

To be honest nothing, it was a lovely find and only 5 mins from the beach. I guess the only thing to bear in mins is that its a 5 euro cab ride to the town, but reception will call you one, no problm.

Good location....beach 5 mins walk away...olhos de agua is a lovely village by the sea,which is only 10 mins walk. Albufeira new town(strip) is 20 mins walk. 6Euros in a taxi to old town. Friendly staff,very clean hotel. Nice pool area. Bus stop outside takes you to Albufeira or Villamaura.

Pool is freezing-too cold to swim. Cooked breakfast very poor,microwaved mushrooms and hot dog sausages. Very quiet,with no entertainment and bar almost empty at night.

Staff and cleaners were very friendly and were very helpful, the best thing is the hotel complex is actually huge with it being part of the same surrounding hotels, you can also use their facilities i.e pools, sports etc

A little far out the town but still a nice walk

Nice size of the rooms. Friendly staff. Nice beach. If you go towards Olhos d'Agua you'll find nice restaurants after only a 7 minutes walk.

Bad coffee at breakfast. Too warm in the room and the aircon wasn't working sufficiently. Could have more international channels on tv.

We liked the short walk to the beach, and the fact that because the hotel is further away from the 'Strip' and the Old Town, the beach was pretty empty. We liked the service, he staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. We went to the hotel in February, which is off peak season and we were the only customers for a good part of our holiday, but this isn't the hotels fault. There was continental breakfast included.

Not all of the facilities were available because it was off peak they were closed or there was a lot of reburbishment work going on. For example, the Sports Bar was not accessible, and the on site Supermarket was closed. We were not informed before we booked that these facilities would not be available when we arrived. The bathroom was also completely tiled, which caused a lot of condensation and mould by the time we left the hotel, which made the room smell a bit. The room was cleaned every day to give the hotel its credit though. As the only customers we worried about the freshness of the food which was put out every day for breakfast. I used 'Self Catering' as a search criteria on this website, but the hotel was not self catering.

Alem da muito boa localização, perto da praia e com optimo serviço de transportes publicos mesmo à porta, fica numa zona calma com optima piscina e muito espaços verdes.

Tudo impecável. Estacionamento.Instalações.Simpatia dos funcionários.Bom pequeno almoço. Quarto. Localização. Lugar calmissimo. Recomendo

Zona sossegada perto de Albufeira. Boa piscina embora fosse ainda inverno é sempre uma boa vista. Os quartos não são muito grandes, mas são asseados.

Gostei imenso. Não conhecia, vim em trabalho e gostei tanto que vou voltar com a familia para passar ferias.

Muito boa relação preço-qualidade, Localização é excelente 5 minutos da praia maria luisa, piscina muito bem cuidada.
