Holiday Inn AlgarveAvenida Marginal, 8365 - 909 Armação de Pêra (Show map) Good, Score from 115 reviews“The staff were very friendly from booking in to leaving. If you get the chance try and get Room 600, the views are amazing and the room is total luxury. However the first room we were given had a great view as well. The breakfast buffet was brilliant and loads of it. Had agreat time here and will definately be back but a sea view is a must.”

I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions and have always been impressed. The view over the beach and sea is outstanding. The rooms are bright and cheerful as is the dining room again overlooking the sea. One would find it difficult to find fault

The executive room was excellent, we had chosen this hotel as my Son and his family were staying there. There was entertainment over Christmas which we enjoyed. . We paid for a Christmas Eve and Day gala dinner but we were disappointed with the main meal for the price we had to pay, but with 3 young children it was more convenient than going out. The weather was good and we were able to spend. The staff at the holiday inn were excellent you couldn't have asked for better. For a 4 star hotel I think the food could do with looking at the breakfast was excellent but the main meals could do with an overhaul., But it didn't spoil our holiday. There was a token gym which could do with more equipment

The reason for my stay at Holiday Inn Algarve was a writing weekend. I was delighted with the Hotel as I'd not chosen it myself. I loved the retro style of 60's decoration and my sea-view room with it's bijou balcony, large comfy beds and pristine bathroom. Hearing the waves crashing as I slept or scribbled was both soothing and inspirational. We were also well looked after with morning and afternoon tea, coffee and cake in the room dedicated for our course. The communal spaces are well designed and comfortable and the staff attending them made us feel that nothing was too much trouble. Finally, the real clincher was the exquisite, freshly prepared food at the Indian restaurant attached to the hotel. I would definitely come again.

The most striking aspect of the Holiday Inn was its location right on a fabulous beach. The promenade walk from the hotel to Fisherman's Beach was very enjoyable. Local restaurants were surprisingly good value for money. We understand that some of the rooms have been upgraded but unfortunately ours was not one of them.

Stayed there last 2 weeks of September. Especially enjoyed it's location, overlooking the beach. Giving easy access to the sea/beach. Loved open terrace where we had breakfast, and looked out over sea. 2 meals at The Raj Indian Rest. Enjoyed very much, good quality and tasty food, Staff very pleasant and polite. Best time of day was 'Happy Hour' at 7pm, relaxing cold beer in Boa Vista bar, with great veiw of sunset and sea. Excellent bar waiter,'Serafim' gave great service. No problem with any of other Hotel Staff, all there to make our Holiday enjoyable. Reception Staff very pleasant and informed, especially Claudia. Need to make sure they advertise that there are a lot of steps to access pool and beach etc., no problem with us, but would be a major headache for someone unable to climb steps. An outdoor clock by the pool would be handy, to check how long you'd been in the sun. We paid for a triple room, which was spacious and roomy, great sea view. Only niggle was,the third bed was the living-room sofa bed, not the most comfortable bed in the world, with thin mattress. Bearable, but at the price we paid, expected a proper bed. Other than that , all was fine.

This hotel is right in the center of town over looking the beach, and back's onto a pedestrian walk way. The breakfast was excellent and the best things about this hotel were the staff.

Hotel is located directly on the superb beach at Amaçao; has a nice and clean pool with comforable long chairs. We had 2 large rooms on the sea side with balcony and fantastic view. Car parking is free, the breakfast buffet is excellent except the coffee. No WiFi in the room, however in public areas. The coffee - as already mentioned - is poor.

The detached property is right next to the beach and backs onto a pedestrian precinct. It is in a good location. The hotel is carpeted throughout and this contributes to the excellent soundproofing in the rooms. The sea view from our room was just what we had hoped for. The breakfast buffet was very good wih a wide choice to suit most tastes. Onsite parking facilities were inadequate for the number of rooms in the hotel. The onsite Raj Restaurant was closed during our visit. This fact wasn't mentioned on your website at the time of booking. The hotel is in need of some redecoration. Peeling paintwork, rust stains and cracked tiles are things that need to be addressed. Our room was large with a great view; some of the neighbouring rooms looked quite small and some didn't have have balconies or much of a view.

The hotel is well situated in centre of town right by the beach. We stayed in a newly refurbished room which was clean and comfortable I had a bad experience at the hotel and have written a letter to holiday inn head office. The safety mat in the bath didn't stick in place. As I stepped in to have a shower the mat slipped causing me to slide. In have suffered severe bruising and discomfort to my legs. The hotel staff didn't want to take responsibility. They changed the mat and offered to pay a doctors bill if needed. They should have investigated all mats in the hotel in case someone elderly fell. They may not have been so lucky.

The location of the hotel is excellent. The deluxe (aka standard) room was small and pokey. The luxury room was very spacious but lacked identity. The bed in the luxury room was like lying (awake, usually) on a stone. The bath was chipped and needed replacing. The tap was absolutely goosed and needed three repair jobs - none of them professional. The hotel looks tired and many facets need attention. On arrival, three light bulbs needed replacing in our room. The maid inappropriately had us charged for one can of Coke. I raised the matter at Reception and you would have thought I had robbed a bank! Oh, and don't ask for soap; you won't get any (no matter how many times you ask). Just hope you're armpits don't smell that much whilst you're in Armacao de Pera. Soap must be expensive in Portugal. For rating, read 3* (not 4).

Já sou cliente há vários anos deste hotel (ainda era o Garbe) e sempre fui bem atendida. A minha preferência deve-se essencialmente à sua localização e também ao descanso que proporciona. Tem um óptimo pequeno-almoço.
