The swimming pool has recently been refurbished.

The hotel provides a free minibus service several times during the day to the Praia da Oura beach and Albufeira (subject to availability).

Food & beverage

The air conditioned à la carte restaurant Grill das Amendoeiras invites guests to indulge in some top cuisine. A buffet restaurant, 24-hour room service, a coffee shop and 2 bars (one with live music) are also available.

Guests may select their breakfast from a buffet, served from 07.00 till 10.00.

Lunch and the evening meal are served in buffet-style or table d’hôte, according to occupancy. Dinner may be taken à la carte. Special dietary requirements as well as individual-specific dishes or children menus may be prepared on request. In the summer months there is a weekly barbecue.

Restaurant Montechoro served lunch from 12:30 to 14:45 and dinner from 19:30 to 21:45.

Restaurant Grill das Amendoeiras serves dinner from 20:00 to 23:00 from Tuesday to Saturday. It is closed on Sunday and Monday.

Bambu coffee shop is open from 10:00 to 22:00.

Bar Almohade opens from 17:00 to 01:30.

Bar Aladin is open from 19:30 to 23:00, from Tuesday to Saturday. It is closed on Sunday and Monday.

The pool snack-bar is open in the summer only, from 10:00 to 19:00.

Room information

The rooms have an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone with internet access on request, satellite TV, twin-sized beds, central heating (winter) / air conditioning (summer) and a hire safe.

A mini-bar or a fridge can be provided on request at a charge.

Area information

Albufeira Town (3 km) - You will find plenty of bars and restaurants here.

Praia da Oura beach (1.5 km) - A popular beach near the bottom of the strip.

A courtesy bus service from the hotel to Oura beach and Albufeira town operates 6 times a day, 7 times a week (subject to availability).

The Montechoro is ideal for those looking for a location with good access to the beach and a busy resort with nearby shops, bars and restaurants.

Although the hotel is clean and tidy it really does need modernising and the breakfasts left a little to be desired.
