Just one block from the central Plaza, Rossio, which makes it very convenient. Great breakfast - piles of fresh fruit, huge bowls of yogurt, not just supermarket containers; a variety of cereals, eggs or omelette and sausages, 5 different kinds of jams, all of them taste like home made; cold cuts. All food looks and tastes fresh, the buffet is huge and looks wonderful. The restaurant consists of two huge dining halls and each has its own buffet. Big windows overlook a Plaza with trams. Their internet rate is ridiculous - 10 euros an hour in their business center. And it took me a while to figure out that by business center they mean a tiny desk with one computer for the whole hotel (!) Just two blocks from the hotel there is an internet place where for 2 euros you have unlimited use. Their two elevators are so busy that there is always a line, their plastic room keys stop working and I had to go to the reception 3 times before they finally fixed it. The blocks around are questionable in terms of safety.

The staff was polite, very efficient and helpful. Taxis were frequent and readily available.Food in the restaurants was good. Our room had a lovely view of the city yet was quiet too. Access to points of interest in Lisbon was good, either by walking, bus or metro. Didn't do any shopping but the stores looked enticing. My first impression after walking to a couple of nearby squares was that the hotel was in a rather shabby part of town. But I came to like the nearness of everything. However I discovered later that there were what appeared to be more upscale parts of town, but farther from the center.

The staff were friendly and efficient and the Hotel is really well located for seeing Lisbon. The room was a nice size and a decent breakfast was provided. The beds weren't particularly comfortable.

Excellent location in the city center with a good price compared to other hotels in the area. Additionally, our room was big and offered a good view of the city. The breakfast was good also, offering a wide selection of items. Check in at the hotel was crowded with a large queue. However, the hotel were pleasant and helpful.

Price, location and lives up to its four stars. Rossio square to the left and behind the hotel, and Saint George Castle to the right and up the hill by foot or by trolley. Lots of guests, so elevators and breakfast tables are in demand.

Room was good. Stay was very comfortable. Location was very central. Generally the staff at the front desk were not welcoming the arriving guests. No body uttered a word while we waited for our turn to check in. The waiting period was long and uncomfortable. One of the staff even gave wrong information (Saying that yellow hop on bus service is suspended because of rains) which could have spoiled our trip.

The bar on the roof was great. Super view of the city. Extremely overpriced. The hotel is old and outdated. Yes, it has internet as advertised but wireless costs 15 euros for 48 hours. The staff was not particularly helpful or interested in the guests. The hotel's best feature, the bar, is open to the public and worth a visit in the evening to watch the sun set.

Perfect location in the center of Lisbon. No need to take any public transport if you walk through the city center. Not as tidy as I would have expected. Not suited for families with babies. There is no water cooker, something that you can find very often in other hotels and really helpful when you need to disinfect baby bottles. Only option: ask the friendly hotel staff which will handle to you warm water from the coffee machine

Contrary to all the other views the hotel was very clean when I arrived my room did smell a bit, but it must have been because no one had been in the room away. I had a very good view from my room. Wifi was not free.

The location of the hotel is its best feature; close to Metro and Rossio square. Liked the rooftop bar. We didn't like the beds, too hard, nor the pillows, funny slabs of foam.

The staff were very nice indeed and the location was excellent. It was also reasonably priced. The underground car park, though much appreciated, was difficult to navigate in anything other than a very small car, as the space was very tight.

The location was very good, close to the tourist tram route and within easy walking distance of good shops and restaurants The breakfast buffet was very good however the food in the first floor restaurant in the evening was poor. I had probably the worst spaghetti Bolognese I have ever been given in any restaurant. The meal consisted of pasta and fried mince absolutely no sauce.

The location was excellent. Good appearance and facilities. Very pleasant staff. We had to request a room change as the first room was beside a service room and service lift which were extremely noisy. However there was no problem when we pointed out our concerns and we were moved.

Friendly and attentive staff. What was a remarquable gesture, they offered us a bottle of champagne (an excellent portugese sparkling wine!) to celebrate an anniversary of one of us. The roof top bar and restaurant with an excellent view on the city The hotel's location is really excellent. and there is a lot of space within it. Room cleanliness ! The breakfast menu offers too much varius junk food (like danish and cakes which makes people growing fat) but is lacking fresh fruits what is surprising in such a sunny cuntry as is the Portugal.. Also, the restaurant menu is too much oriented into the "internatiuonal cusine" maybe to satisfy common taste, while I would like to see more the true portuguese cuisine which is excellent.
