My wife and I have stayed at Grande Real Santa Eulália Resort & Hotel Spa on 5 occassions now and that is unusual for us, so this illustrates how satisfied we are with the hotel. The location is perfect, the view is amazing and the facilities are excellent. The staff are superb especially the reception and restaurant. The 'surprise' birthday treat is the icing on the cake (literally) and as we visit the resort in October to celebrate my birthday, the climate is just right for us. The buffet breakfast is first class with a huge assortment of choice. I thoroughly recommend this hotel to those like me that like independence and a relaxed atmosphere. It isn't really a complaint but the carper in the room did need some attention with general wear and tear (a few stains) due to careless guests. Coffee/Tea facilities in the room would be nice if like me you need a fix during the night. I appreciate that cost cutting measures may be needed in difficult economic times but it is the little things that make a hotel special. On our latest visit it was some of the little things that were missing (no slippers - Internet needed attention - paper serviettes instead of cloth napkins and the air conditioning was a bit random) It is these things that make a five star hotel what people expect.

Really nice, room 511 was perfect location by one of the pools. Restaurant very expensive but you pay for the location, I would probably go half board if I went again. Really nice rooms, big and spacious for a family of four. Breakfast really good Beach very very busy no sun loungers with the hotel, 10 euro each if you want one! Got the impression the hotel kind of had it's own bit of beach, but it is just next to a very busy private beach, and if you want shade it costs you! Did not like albuferia

The swimming pools, spreaded between 3 different locations, preventing too much crowd. The easy access to the beach. The proactive and cheerfull attitude of the staff (with a 95% occupation). The saphety. Pool bars close too early (6pm) for the daytime period at the time we stayed (sunset after 8pm). Few entertainment at night time.

The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Great breakfast buffet. location was fantastic. Beautiful pool area. Spa facilities are excellent. Just wish we had better "seaview" from our room as we were in -1 floor. Maybe next time. Overall great retreat! Definitely would return to Grande Real if in future we return to Albufeira. Can not beat the proximity to beach area. Nice restaurants on grounds as well. Guaranteed you will enjoy your stay.

Pleasant, restful, well arranged outer and inner spaces, well decorated. Not too crowdy - enough space around swimming pools. Good service. Checking out before 10 A.M. is too early. Breakfast is too expensive, yet one has to wait in line for it. Swimming pool bars are too expensive.

The location is great with the beach a short walk away. The facilities are great, and the resourt is a perfect option if you're travelling with kids. The staff will do anything to please you. The hotel isn't responsible for that but he constant noise from advertisment airplanes is really annoying. In my opinion the buffet is expensive considering other options in the vicinities.

Stylish and very interesting hotel, right at the beach. The buffet breakfast was excellent: wide variety of food and drinks, I would certainly recommand to book it. We were staying in a suite with sea view, it was spacious, nice design, panoramic view and two big bathrooms. The room service was excellent and so the staff at the reception. The were always very helpful and very efficient. The service at the Bar do Real can be extremely slow and very expensive (compared to what you can get elsewhere in the town). The swimming pools are rather small. I think it would be nice to have a cattle for hot water and a coffee machine in the suites.

Facilities and so close to the beach. The hotel staff don't make guests respect the rules in the pool: - Guests usually leave towels on the hammocks in order to book them, and they come back to the pool few hours later. Often there were nobody in the pool and no hammocks available. -Sometimes the pool was full of air beds and other inflatables stuff and it was almost impossible to get into the pool. The rules regarding this events are very well explained in the hotel files, but the hotel staff don't deal with the guests to be applied.

We have visited Grande Real Santa Eulália five times now in the last three years and it speaks volumes for the hotel as I have never done that before. We have never been disappointed and particularly enjoy the wonderful sea views over the Atlantic. The breakfasts are excellent with a wide variety of choice and superb quality. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and the bathrooms are spotlessly clean. The staff are polite and friendly and the grounds are clean and well kept with a spacious pool area and attractive gardens. There isn't anything that I do not like about the hotel, although for those who like night life on site, I would caution that the evenings are quite, which suites me but maybe not everybody. There is plenty of life within 20 minutes walking distance.

The Grande Real Santa Eulália is certainly one of the best hotels in the area. We enjoyed there 5 quiet after season days in November 2011 and selected this hotel mostly for comfort and the wide beds (comparable to California King size) that were hard to find anywhere else in the Algarve at that time. The large room with nice ocean view was tastefully equipped and all utilities were working well. Only the carpet in our room showed quite a few spots of usage and would need enhancement to complete our excellent impression of the whole hotel complex. Most of all, we very much liked the always friendly hotel staff over the whole period of stay.

We had a room overlooking the Sea and it was just beautiful. Excellent beach access and pool. So many things on site, that you don't ever have to leave the resort. The breakfast buffet was included in the price and it was actually a champaigne brunch, and was fantastic. Will absolutely be back for another stay. They also have free kids club, so our 7 year old had a great time as well. Only that the Disco was very loud, while we were trying to sleep. Kids Club though was right next door though so our daughte could wavt to us, and come back to the room when she wanted to.

Excellent Kids club open 10am-10pm apartments had aircon and small kitchenett with tv in both rooms with films and childrens channel. Apartment cleaned every day spotless. Facing the beach with amazing views and easy access to the beach. Staff very friendly and helpfull and lots of staff which is good. Toilets throughout the hotel are spotless. No need to bring towels hotel provides them for the pool/beach. Saltwater pools to the front of the hotel and regular pools everywhere else. Lots of sun beds available at the hotel any time of the day. Food very expensive even the buffet was expensive for what it is. Kids club lunch 12.50euro. Kids lunch should be no more than €5. Lunch food by the pool was fresh and good quality role and crisps €5 salad €9 which was good value in comparison to the restaurant food. Some drinks/beer very expensive same price as cocktails.

Location to Beach. The food was good. Staff were very efficient. Air conditioning was very good. I did not like the location of my room (555) very disappointing. We were surrounded by concrete and our balcony was very exposed. Other guests could walk through balcony even though I was sitting there in bathing suit! Found it hard to believe it was a 5 star hotel and accommodation. Enterainment for families was not good compared to our holidays in Majorca where we stayed several times at the 4 star Viva Hotels. We were charged for 4 mornings breakfast which we did not have (200 euro) and were told we could not be refunded! Disappointed with lack of colourful flowers and plants, water features at enterance to hotel and also cars were parked up on the path which ment we had to walk on the drive way. The Pool near our room was being repaired for 3 days and out of use we decided to go to the beach everyday. I dont think I would go back again.

Location excellent. Beautiful hotel in a wonderful setting with steps down to the beach. Kids club five star. Free wi fi in all areas Food very average in all resteurants, certainly not 5 star in quality but charged as if it was. Was told breakfast was good was not included in our rate. Better food at reasonable prices to be found ontside of resort. Accomodation not 5 star, the beds are very uncomfortable, once again nowhere near 5 star quality.

We really liked the fact that there was plenty of kids there and the pool was heated, the kids club was fantastic and my daughter made friends there which made her holiday enjoyable. The apartment that they put us in was unsuitable for our 20 month old daughter, the wall on the balcony had a high drop from it, which was highly dangerous, when I complained they said they could move us the next day. I asked them to help us out and give us a free breakfast considering I couldn´t go shopping and get all our groceries as we couldn´t unpack due to moving apartment the next day, He said he couldn´t do this as we were given the apartment we asked for, when I complained further stating that it was not what we asked for (a dangerous drop on the balcony, we couldn´t have used the balcony on our stay) he eventually gave in and agreed to the free breakfast, they should really look at ages of children before booking suitable apartments, if my daughter had climbed onto the wall and fell, it could have been very serious.

Nice Hotel and nice location. Already filled in questionaire when we left yesterday, very pleased with our stay, and will probably return.2 things may be of help- for us northerners not accustomed to air condition- an instruction leaflet might have come handy in the room. We had some minor difficulties in getting it right, though we could of course have asked. Also the small survey card of all the facilities, resturants and placings was somewhat brief. But we had a memorable stay!

Top hotel on the St Eulalia beach. No other hotel in the neighborhood making the number of people at the beach very low. Fantastic views from my room to the beach. Very large room. Good facilities at the spa.
