On two of our five night stay some inconsiderate guests made enough noise in the corridor to wake us up between 12 and 2 in the morning. To be fair to the hotel when I complained, they told us if it happened again, we should phone reception immediately and the night porter would come up and sort it out. Mercilessly, it didn't happen again, so didn't have test the night porter's resolve.
My partner and I liked everything about this hotel. Ok, the room wasn't massive; however, we considered it our base to sleep and shower, so the size didn't matter to us. The small bath/shower room was modern and spotless. Additionally, the room was cleaned and the towels changed every day. Breakfast included a range of cereals, fruit juices, tea, coffee, fresh fruit, bread, meats, cheeses, etc. Walk up the steep hill (if your fit; if not, take the tram) to Barrio Alto. Walk up and down the small cobbled streets there and choose from the dozens of restaurants available! The rest of central Lisbon, all within easy walking distance of the hotel, is equally amazing. Also well worth the effort is walk to the top of Restadores boulevard, cross the busy roundabout and continue up the grassy slope to the fountain at the top. Don't turn around until you reach this point and then take in the breathtaking view back down the way you came. This should take you no longer than 15 minutes walk from the hotel.
