HF Ipanema Park

I enjoy the overall stay at HF Ipanema Park

Staff generally very helpful and pleasant; good roof-top pool

Confusion at check-in that two guys didn't want a room with twin beds

Comfortable bed

The walls of the room seemed to be paper thin, the bathroom in need of renovation, far from the metro

The rooms are very good - big, clean and confortable. The swiming pool at the top of the hotel is great as well as so is the breakfast.

It's a little bit far from town but there is a bus stop just in front of the hotel. The rest was great!

The hotel would fit the ranking of 3 stars rather than 4. It has been refurbished, but this refurbishment was cosmetic and lacking investment. I stayed in executive room which had poor lighting in order to hide design deficiencies and furniture defects.

The rooms were lovely, bathrooms really huge!

Rooftop was lovely but much smaller than I'd expected. Drinks were a bit pricey in the bar there (but think everywhere else just possible v cheap)

Family room was great.

No we did not like anything about our stay in this hotel. We are a young couple who have travelled around the world. This is a hotel we would expect to find in a small town in eastern europe.

This hotel is nowhere near a 5 star hotel. Its services are very poor. The room is awful in terms of space and facilities and decor. The food(Buffet) was extremely poor. The choice in the menu is poor. Staff were not very helpful and actually ignored us a few times when we were standing at the desk. The fitness centre is unbelieveably out of date with machines (the few that were there) really badly worn down and looked dangerous to use. The room is really something out of the 1970s/1980s. Very small and you could actually hear everytime someone had a shower or went to the toilet. The noise of the water was as if it were in the our room.

the rooof top pool was lovely and there was a wide range of choice for breakfast.

we booked an executive room and were put next door to a family with a baby. the baby's crying kept us awake past half three and woke us very early again.

Hotel was listed as 5 star, though facilitities were a little lacking. We stayed for one night - a Saturday, there was a wedding taking place in the hotel, essentially in the restaurant - which was then shut. The bar had a buffet to replace - but front desk were unaware. Also, staff friendly - but many did not speak multiple languages (English nor French - just Portugese for example). Price was good, rooms were clean, view was poor (aircon units) and pool was very small.

The staff is the most helpfull I have ever met. They had a positive answer to any of my requests making the stay very pleasant. Large appart room. good food, great breakfast. price amazing
