We liked the family room, very spacious with 2 rooms actually and 2 TVs, the hotel has a very nice playground for children and a swimming pool on the roof. Breakfast was very good. 5 star hotel should have tea/coffee facilities in the room, but unfortunately this one doesn´T. Breakfast was good but it was the same every day. Far from the city centre but you can use the sightseeing bus (the bus stop is quite near the hotel) and then visit the city for two days.

It is a pleasent hotel, very clean and easy to locate. We have stayed here many times... Still, there is smoking in the lounge , which is hard as Im allergic, the wifi is free in the lounge, so I cannot sit in there to use it...It would have been nice if the wifi was free in your hotel room, especially under the circumstances of a smokey lounge.

Nothing. The Hotel is old and the sound isolation is terrible. After 6.00 am is not poosible to sleep because of the noises from the plumbing and the talking of the guests next door or in the corridor. For the Portuguese standards, ususlly very stricts, it cshould not be a five stars hote, not even a four stars.

Located near Foz and Serralves, nice clean hotel. Doen't feel like a 5star hotel, I guess because of the age of the hotel. Almost no outside parking

Well located, within easy reach of motorway access. Although recently refurbished, the hotel rooms could use a touch of colour. The only colour in the room was the blue carpet and a pale green print on the wall above the bed. The rest was magnolia and/or beige and this gave the room a sort of cheap, stripped down look, lacking in warmth. Not very welcome.

Pool, gym & staff helpful There are 3 or 4 Ipanema Park Hotels in Porto. I thought I had booked into the city centre hotel but ended up one and a half hour walk outside the centre in this hotel. Very disappointed. I guess it was my fault but I think it needs to be made clearer that there are several hotels from the same hotel chain with the same name in the city.

The quality of the bedroom, everything really clean There was just a thing that made my stay in the hotel something to forget. There is a parking just next to the hotel where some clients of the hotel leave there their cars. The personal of the hotel know that all the cars left there are always broken and stolen by some homeless people that they are usual in the parking. As a tourist, you don't know that this thing is happening and even like that the personal of the hotel don't even warn you. We found this attitude completely disgusting.

We booked this hotel based on the great rate offered through booking.com. We were so pleased with the hotel room and amenities. The room was very luxurious (robe, slippers, bathroom facilities etc) with a massive bed and great view. Bathroom was clean and shower had great water temperature and pressure. Staff were friendly and accommodating. They helped when ever we needed to grab a taxi into the Porto city centre (which was quite far from the hotel but luckily taxis are so cheap in Portugal). We also stayed for a night in and ordered room service and was very impressed with the quality of the food and service. The location of this hotel was a little far from Porto, probably too far to walk each day so we found ourselves catching taxis which was okay because they are so cheap (5 euros to town). Parking was 10 euro a day but it was secure and they would retrieve the car when we needed it free of charge. The gym is not free which was disappointing but it did not effect the overall impressiveness of this value for money hotel.

Nice view on the river Douro even if quite far away. Big light room. Big queen-size bed usually hard to find in Portugal. Much too far from city centre and only one bus line. No free wifi in the rooms but only in public areas. No free swimming pool. Too big to have any charm. Ideal for big groups but certainly not a romantic place to go. Huge breakfast room crowded like a canteen.
