Friendly staff, stylish room in lovely old guest house with period features. It was nice to have a small balcony with french windows. The room needed a wall mounted fan, as was very hot when tring to sleep. Left window open, but was bitten by mosquitoes. Shower curtain needed a wash, made bathroom smell a bit. |

Renovated antique old mansion just a few steps uphill(!) from Lisbons very center. Quiet area with a handful of simple but authentic restaurants in the neigborhood. Very friendly staff, speaking several languages fluently. Our room and bathroom were rather small but for a short term stay of two nights to see Lisbon fully ok. Good value for money. Safe public parking garage for 10,- EUR/day at 500m distance. Rather difficult to locate and get there by car (narrow one-way street with strong incline) and litterally no possibility to park nor stop in front of the hotel itself (at least not for unexperienced drivers or those who feel the need to stick to all rules:). Don't expect a huge sign outside the hotel, you may drive along without noticing it, but we had several friendly police officers who were pleased to help (in good English and while we were only a few meters from the place). |

Very nice people, ideally located in the center of Lisboa. Rooms are small but cozy and clean. Sound insulation is poor, but hey, you're in Lisboa, so if you want a quiet place, try another city :-) |

Very friendly staff. Beuatiful old house, nicely furnished and decorated room. Excellent location. Breakfast was not available due to renovation - but the staff recommended small cafés nearby, which were very good (and used by the locals!). |

good views from the 4th floor room and nice decor throughout. Comfortable and helpful staff. would have been nice to have breakfast; the walk up the hill didn't really bother us, but it is quite long and steep. |

The view from the hotel was beautiful and the staff was very helpful about directions and information about the city. It was under going major renovations and the room we were in had need of being renovated. There was heavy mold on the window and the windows would not latch or lock. Also, the climb to the hotel could be a significant problem for anyone with a health or mobility issue. The trolley to the top was not in service due to construction and this is something clients should be aware of. |

The location, price and design of the hotel. Well located by the city center, we had nice view over the city and the river. The only disadvantage is the parking - not by the hotel, but we parked in nearby underground parking and it was fine. |

The design of the hotel is quite nice and the locations is excellent to explore Lisbon. There is no lift so it is quite a climb if you are on the fourth floor. Also, the hotel is on top of a hill so it's a bit of a walk if the tram is not functioning. |

No frills, but all that you need for a good night's sleep. Staff was friendly upon check-in and check-out. Room was relatively quiet for Lisbon. What we expected and paid for. So: advisable to any that need a no-frills comfortable bed to sleep in (and can appreciate the tasteful but sparse decoration and bathroom). Well, it would be even nicer if they give the bathroom an update (some paint and such). |

It was quiet, clean and comfortable, in a very good location next to the city center's Rossio. Calçada de Sant' Ana is a wonderful street. |

Lavra GuestHouse is placed in a cam one way street just 300 m from the center of Lisboa. There are at least 3 very good non-turist restaurants in the street. |

extremly friendly staff ,very welcoming, very busy with our wishes and questions - the combination of the furniture and rooms of the old hostel and some new design like the lamps, the walldecorations...is very well done.it is done cheap, but in a very smart, efficient and sympathetic way.very well located in a street that doesnt feel touristic at all although it is right in the center. as the old tiles in the bath were simply overpainted (in dark brown) it seems difficult to wash them and keep them clean. |

We stayed at this hotel three different times and the friendly staff made the stays enjoyable. The hotel is near the top of the hill and with the Lavra Funicular out of service for repairs, access to/from the hotel is a strenuous hike up and down the hill. Once the Lavra Funicular is again operational, this hotel location will be easily accessible. |

Allthough to get to the guesthouse you need to have a good walk like climbing a hill for 10 minutes, it is worth to stay there. You can easily get a taxi to get up, which it's very cheap. The guesthouse is what we expected, clean, comfortable and great helpful staff in any occasion. |
