Fint rum med underbar utsikt över Lissabon. Bra sängar och en trevlig uteplats med samma fina utsikt. Lyhört från korridoren. |

I liked the location, original design of rooms and lobby. Nice view. However everything happening in the rooms I heard very well, so they have to do something with isolation. Everything happening in the rooms I heard very well, so they have to do something with isolation. |

The hill is not that bad as some reviews say! I imagined something like san francisco based on reviews. Its really not that bad unless you are really out of shape. But all of lisbon is hills - Bairo Alto has a steeper hill than this one. The room was nice the beds comfy. Location was good. Internet was very slow and they turn it off around midnight. No ac - not an issue in November but in the summer I wouldn't stay here. Location is good but going up and down the hill on the 5th day starts adding up (although not as bad of an issue as in some reviews) Bathroom smelled like pee!!!! It looks like it used to be a common bathroom and converted to have the entrance from the room. |

Central location. Friendly staff. Nice neighborhood. Lots of stairs if you´re not fit. Steep hill up from city centre, but that´s Lisbon.... |

very warm welcome. Nice hotel staff. Great old building. Very close to city center and barrio alto. no air con in our room, think could get very hot during summer. Even if city centre is close you have to be able to walk a lot of steps up to getankt back to the hotel |

The staff was very helpful. Good value for money The steep hill to get to it while carrying a suitcase!!! The street was quite noisy during the night. |

The room was nice, modern and clean. Our room was newly renovated so was quite fresh. It was very noisy outside, the locals are a bit loud at night. It was also very difficult to find, but it seems everything in Lisbon is! Was not sure about the area coming home late at night, but we had no issues. |

Nice view from the terrace after a long day out. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Did not know this is a hostel. No a/c and tv. Had I known, I would not have stayed here. Located in a local neighborhood on a side street. Can be shady at late night. On a steep hill and can be a pain to go back and forth to. Also, very hard to find as the streets have many turns. |

Location looks convenient on map but is not, you have to use very steep hillside stairs to get to/from metro. No air conditioning, no breakfast, no elevator. Three hair dryers to "share" amongst 20-something rooms. Some youth hostels have better amenities than this hotel. |

We both really enjoyed out stay at the Lavra Guesthouse, friendly and helpful staff, excellent quiet location, felt very local despite being a short walk to the city centre- would defintely stay there again. Thanks!! Would be nce to have some air con, even at the end of Sept it is still very hot in Lisbon :-) We did have a fan though to be fair. |

Excellent location, buzzing residential street only minutes from the city centre. The guesthouse is in a lovely old building, and we were very happy to get a fourth floor room with a balcony overlooking the city (although we had to climb out the window which wasn't as difficult as it sounds) I cannot rate the guesthouse as well as I'd like because the bed was very poor in my opinion, a cheap metal frame that made a hell of a racket any time you moved - made for a few sleepless nights |

definitely location which fantastic for the price. staff were friendly and the lack of breakfast is actually a plus because there is brilliant patisserie just across the street where you can mix with the locals, food and drink is good and it`s cheaper than a hotel breakfast. roof terrace is lovely. lavra guest house is simple but clean. the hill up to the guest house is a killer, but the escalator up the street nextdoor is supposed to start running at the end of september this year. the external and some internal doors could do with fixing as you can`t shut them without a noisy bang. |

Good location, close to city center and many attractions, nice inexpensive local restaurants nearby, helpful and friendly staff, certainly a very good value for money. And the terrace - different than that in the photo gallery, but nice view of the city anyways. |

The room was very nicely furnished, decent sized with a nice balcony looking at the church across the street and the river in the back. Though central location, it's very steep street or stairs to reach the hotel...but Lisbon is all about hills:)...would not recommend it unless you are in a good shape millions of stairs to get there after the full day of sightseeing, and no elevator in the hotel |

Hotel Reception was absolutely delightful and multi-lingual. Gave great recommendations for local dining. Guesthouse location is in a quiet area, though quite proximal to the Castle, Downtown shops, and main bus route to/from the Airport. Rooms and lobby are clean and well-maintained. Nicely done. Great value for the money. Would recommend to others. |

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room small but very cosy with own bahroom (clean). There is a great terase on the roof for cooling down after a hot day. The distance to the down town is great! The breakfast was not availible - but they recommend us a cafe behind. |

Friendly staff, stylish room in lovely old guest house with period features. It was nice to have a small balcony with french windows. The room needed a wall mounted fan, as was very hot when tring to sleep. Left window open, but was bitten by mosquitoes. Shower curtain needed a wash, made bathroom smell a bit. |

Renovated antique old mansion just a few steps uphill(!) from Lisbons very center. Quiet area with a handful of simple but authentic restaurants in the neigborhood. Very friendly staff, speaking several languages fluently. Our room and bathroom were rather small but for a short term stay of two nights to see Lisbon fully ok. Good value for money. Safe public parking garage for 10,- EUR/day at 500m distance. Rather difficult to locate and get there by car (narrow one-way street with strong incline) and litterally no possibility to park nor stop in front of the hotel itself (at least not for unexperienced drivers or those who feel the need to stick to all rules:). Don't expect a huge sign outside the hotel, you may drive along without noticing it, but we had several friendly police officers who were pleased to help (in good English and while we were only a few meters from the place). |

This classy, family-run residence is surrounded by the charming streets at the heart of Lisbon, set on Alegria Square and close to the park. |
Hotellet ligger mitt i staden nära Marques de Pombal-torget, 5 minuters bilfärd från stadens centrum, 10 minuters bilfärd från flygplatsen, och det finns kollektivtrafik i närheten. |
