The hotel is located in a very quiet area but only 2 min walk to Chiado. The breakfast was good. The staff were very friendly and gave us very good advice for restaurants.
We arrived late at night for check in and our rooms were very cold however this problem was solved quickly the other day.
Great location. Small, private and very comfortable. Staff very friendly. Great breakfast. Great beds. We loved our stay.
Missed a small sauna or hot tub (stayed in autumm/winter) and a (N)espresso machine at the breakfast buffett. Bathrooms design is beautiful but not really practical for older people or travellers with small children.
Everything.Really friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast.Would recommend it highly.
Size of bedroom and the amazing rain shower.
No tea/coffee making facilities in room.
The place was nice with helpful staff. Lisbon is a beautiful place.
Walking up and down the hill. But was a good exercise.
Very well located. Good breakfast Room's clean and well heated.
Room's sort of small.
Location is excellent, staff was very friendly(almost your personel city guide), welcoming drink was a pleasant surprise.
Excellent value for money and good location
The staff upgraded me in a suite because I told them I wanted a very quiet room. Staff people are nice and breakfast is great food and location.
I asked to have a lighter blanket but they didn't have it.
Loved the location and district of this hotel, We had room 404 which offered views of the entire city. Hotel spotted it was my partners Birthday from her DOB on her passport and gifted her a bottle of champagne. One of the best boutique hotels we have visited. Highly recomended
Nothing- everything was perfect !
The best location for visiting Lisbon. At the intersection of neighborhoods Chiado, Baixa and Bairro Alto. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent conditions. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Ocean view, location, food, staff...all was perfect!
Friendly staff, pretty view of the square from well-appointed and very clean, comfy room, nice restaurant with free welcome drink. Even though our rate did not include breakfast, they added it in free of charge anyway. Nice touch.
The room (203) was a bit narrow and had a shower rather than bath, but the location and staff more than made up for that. Good value for the downtown historic area.
The location is in a hilly historic part of the city but is close to tram stops and the Santa Justa elevator. The breakfast was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. We complained the fridge was not working and it was replaced almost immediately.
- location - bedrooms (family suite) - warm welcome
Very nice and friendly staff, clean rooms, very good location
bathroom not very convenient
The staff was excellent from the minute we stepped foot in the door! We were offered a glass of Port and a pastry while Nadiya explained the area, favorite restaurants & where to listen to Fado. Thanks Nadiya! Parking garage was safe and nearby.
Nothing! We had a car and the streets of old town are narrow with little parking as expected. Not a problem, just be aware and you don't need a car! You can walk or take transportation anywhere; taxis are inexpensive.
Well located hotel with modern stylish rooms. By a quaint square. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was high quality with a great range of food
Very nice hidden hotel in a calm spot in the Bairro Alto. The cleaning is of the highest standards and the staff is very professional.
A wonderful staff, who helped with tour suggestions and dinner reservations. The breakfast was abundant and the food very good.
Can't think of a thing.
Excellent location. Situated in a quiet area but a stones throw away from cafes, bars and restaurants. The hotel was extremely comfortable and the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful.
No complaints altho' leading up from the main avenue there are a set of steep stairs which might not suit everyone. However not a problem for us and more than made up for by the fact we had easy access to all areas without being in a noisy area.
Excellent location for exploring historic Lisbon. Within walking distance of the castle and waterfront plaza. The staff was very helpful, continental breakfast was bountiful and meals at their outdoor cafe were good as well. And only 20 minutes from the airport.
Just one minor complaint in that you had to sign into the internet every time you needed access rather than being connected during your stay.
From the very start we got a lovely warm welcome with an invitation to the bar later for a welcome drink. The room was well appointed simply stylish with the most incredibly comfortable beds. There is an option to view the shower area in the bathroom from the bedroom or for the more modest there is an electronically operated blind. The shower was magnificent, and we had the luxury of dressing gowns, slippers and plenty of washing accessories. The breakfast was divine with plenty of fruit including papaya, mango, pear, orange and pineapple. Great selection of cheese, salamis and tomato and the usual bacon egg and mushroom. Topped off with freshly squeezed orange juice a selection of tea and coffee. Although it was a buffet breakfast the staff on duty were incredibly helpful, polite and friendly. We were a group of 8 women (A book Club) who have regularly travelled to European cities over the past ten years staying in 4 star hotels, and we all agreed this was the best hotel of all. Thank you to all the lovely staff in Lisboa Carmo Hotel.
location breakfast modern clean room helpful front desk
shower door design caused a lot of water onto the floor bed was very hard
They went above and beyond when we had some medical issues. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.
Location is on a steep hill. Difficult to maneuver for anyone with mobility problems.
