everything very good: location, rooms, brakfast
nice clean decor. excellent breakfast - very impressed.
i've seen a lot of European 'double beds' as 2 twin beds put together to create a bigger bed, but never seen the twin beds with their own sheets and covers. it was basically 2 twin beds pushed together. for a couple, it wasn't the best sleeping arrangement. the bathroom was a bit moldy.
Very available and competent receptionists. They gave me all the informations I need and also did reservations for the evening in my place. I appreciated it a lot
The street is a bit noisy but you are in Chiado, the center of Lisbona and they have a private parking paying per day
Loved the location-smack dab in the middle of everything! We opted for the top floor room which had a small terrace with an expansive view. The room was well appointed and the staff were informative and spoke great English.
Our room was situated close to the bar which unfortunately lends itself to the partying and late night activity. From what I observed at breakfast, most of the guest were more mature, but the guests of the bar were quite young. The bar is open to the public. My question is does the hotel want to appeal to the overnight guests or the walk in bar crowd. I paid to sleep there and it was quite difficult on a couple of the nights with the loud music.
Windows are made of wood and you feel as if they were open. Bathrooms are old-fashioned and need a remodelation.
Spacious modern room with nice view, nice towels and bed sheets, front desk management very helpful
we left room at 10:30 am for sight-seeing leaving sign to clean the room hanging on the door. When we came back very tired at 3:45 pm the room had not be done, at 4:00 pm the lady finally showed up to make the room. We were too tired and told her it is too late now, we needed to rest.
Kind and serviced minded staff, super location, the rooms seems to be newly renovated.
Wifi, breakfast, location.
No free upgrade to available terrace room, despite checking in early evening. As a regular guest there, always in a 7th floor terrace room it would have been good customer relations.
Very friendly helpful staff, the location was excellent, room was very spacious ,with a terrace and great views. When returning to Lisbon next year we would stay there again.
Loved our room w/terrace and the terrace bar. Wed-Sun great music to sit, enjoy the view and have a drink. GREAT location. Facility was great for a 4 star hotel
Location Roof deck
Not too many options for food on the roof
staff, view, room, breakfast buffet, cleanliness, location
The terrace, the food, the staff, the welcome cakes
The noise outside (room on the street)
I liked everything about the hotel. Very central, modern, lovely rooms, good breakfast. Very kind and friendly hotel staff especially jaou ( I don't know if I written correct, but I think its John in English:))) They helped us in getting around, choosing cafes and restaurants etc. As a one word: If you want to stay perfect accommodation in Lisbon, look at nowhere else. Choose this hotel without any hesitate. Thank you Hotel Do Chiado.
Not much. But in the period we are in, the prices are astronomically high because of the uefa Final match. This was the only aspect I have complaining about.
Nice view from our private terass.friendly and helpfull staff
Location and room were good
Poor service in restaurant and bar and limited choice
only the location and the relation of Levi and Alberto in the front desk.
No cool in the aircondition - in spite of what was written in bookink site.
Position convenient to reach different places of interest, well served by public transportation. Excellent breakfast buffet. Size of rooms and well equipped bathroom. Kindness of bar personnel and reception employee Valentino (thanks) who took action to rectify a problem with the room (see below).
Description of better room categories on booking.com lead us to believe that those rooms would have a sea or city view; yet we got one right on the narrow and noisy Rua Nova do Almada. On the second day, despite the "make up my room" sign on the door, at 5 P.M. the room was not ready. A free bar service was offered by the management to amend this.
Great location. Spacious room with nice bathroom, comfortable beds and terrace with a fantastic view.
Cleaning staff did not arrive until afternoon which was quite annoying. Breakfast is a bit expensive compared to selection on the buffet.
Location and view from terrace. They served a very good breakfast.
Location with easy access to the city. Sweeping view. Wonderful breakfast to start the day.
A lovely breakfastroom with a wiev of the town! and the top rooms with a terrace facing the city are just great. The surrounding areas with good shopping facilities are also valuable when you're there on business.
This was a wonderful place to stay. The room was large, the bathroom well-equipped and stocked, the bed comfortable. One of the best features was the breakfast, hot and cold items: bacon, croissants, all the presunto and ripe berries you could eat, served in a room with river and castle views. We chose the street-front room to save a little money, so we did not get the great view, but it was perfectly fine, and there are two patios accessible to everyone which overlook the panorama. The room service menu is simple but adequate for the one night we ate in. The bar also has a terrace with that great view. The staff was always friendly and helpful. We went on a port wine- tasting walk we booked through a brochure in the lobby and had a great time.
The internet in our room, which was located at one end of the facility, was spotty. We sometimes had to go to a location near the elevators to stay connected. If this is a priority, ask for a room there.
Excellent location. Great views.
Intermittent wi fi connection.
Very loudy we could not sleep
