The apartment is in a good location close to many good restaurants and park. It is cosy and clean. Service of wqthe staff of city break, Pedro is excellent. I would recommend anyone who wants a good stay in Lisbon the City break Apartments.
The living room and bathroom are cold during winter. Kitchen utensils Need an upgrade. .
Nicely decorated, clean, comfortable bed and sofa bed. Staff very obliging with extra bedding and towels for the children. We got a substantial discount so thought it was good value.
Kitchen was tiny (2 hob rings, no oven) and a sink). No work space. You couldn't cook a meal so we ate out. The bathroom had no vents and water overflowed a bit from the shower so you had to be quick. Area is central enough but a bit dirty.
A warm welcome by pedro who explained all - appartment was well equipped, modern, clean, wifi worked great, shower with power! location is central. Good range of tv channels + ipod station :-) One of the best appartments i ever stayed.
nothing to dislike
Great location, spotless clean and the host - Pedro super helpful!
Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Great view of the garden backing on to apartments. Situated above bairro alto and an easy down hill walk to chiado. Top tip: flat comfy shoes! I will come here again when i visit Lisbon.thank you Pedro!
Tv too high on wall (but wasnt there to watch tv!) Lock on door was a bit difficult to open. Otherwise perfect.
The location was okay, the wifi was very hood, so was the whole apartment, except for the water heater. You couldn't have hot water for one whole shower!
There is no on sight reception so we had to wait for an hour for someone to let us into the apartment even after calling and letting them know that we are there.
The apartment was lovely with everything you need. The WIFI worked great. It's in a very nice area of Lisbon. Daniel who showed us around the apartment was very nice and welcoming.
I really recommend this place. It is located very close to the city center and there are suitable buses to some of hot spots in Lisbon. For example to Belem, Cais do Sodre and Principe Real. The Metro stop Rato is only 8-10min away from the building. You can by a Lisbon card and use all public transport and visit some of the sights free. Also you will use discount on other sights between 10%-50%.WiFi is perfect.
Everything about the appartment and the helpfulness of Daniel, the appartment manager.
Trying to get in the place. A bit of a mix up and confusion that got resolved.
generally ok, service, equipment, cleanliness very well
One thing that disturbed us a peculiar smell in the stairwell and the apartment (we are used to after the first day:o))
Everything is perfect except the noise from the street. The room is fully equipped, even provide the cosmetic cotton. Nice design and good quality things.
I've requested for a quiet room, but I still got the bedroom facing the street. Maybe coz it was a Friday, we can hear the noise from the street for a whole night. So you can image our sleep quality...
Very nice and clean apartment. Grate location. Hostes Daniel was very friendly and useful. Thanks for all!
nicely located (but very steep street) nice little terrace
the appartment was not at all as big as announced : no place to hang cloths, very small kitchen (not even a dish towel to dry the dishes); very small bathroom. No place to leave suitcases after check out... needed to pay a cab to drop it at the hotel.
Good location in the historical center and price, very clean and beautiful apartment.
A little bit noisy, because of thin windows.
There is a need for some local information ie. Maps/tourist info
After staying in Porto, we came in Lisbon for a few days. Flat is really nice and very well equipped. It is placed in the peaceful street so there is no noise coming from outside during the night.
Only negative thing was lack of communication with the host. Day before leaving we contacted the host in order to get some information on ordering taxi and leaving the keys. There was no response from host nor Fabrice that welcomed us on the first day.
We really liked our stay at this apartment & would be happy to stay there again! It was in a good location for visiting the city with local amenities, restaurants, cafes & bars nearby, & walking distance from Bairro Alto & train stations for day visits. We'd recommend going to Sintra from Rossio station for castles & gardens, and Cascais from Cais do Sodre station for beaches. Both are about 20 minutes walking from the apartment. You can get to the apartment in about an hour from the airport by taking the Metro to Rato station (change at Saldanha). From there it's just 10/15 minutes walking. It's worth pointing out that Lisbon has a lot of very steep hills. If you want to walk around they are unavoidable so it's best to be positive about it & see it as a work out for your leg muscles :) The pavements are often cobbled which makes pulling a suitcase with wheels a little more difficult. The apartment is on a steep hill so it's best to approach it from the top side (Rua Escola Politecnica). The nearest supermarket is just 5 minutes away. To find it go up Rua Nacional from the apartment & then down the hill to the right. It's on the edge of the square at the bottom. The apartment was lovely with all modern furnishings. It was situated at the back of the building so it was quiet & we had a garden view of sorts from our small balcony. There was a kitchen (which we made good use of) with fridge, freezer, hobs, toaster, kettle, coffee machine & microwave (no oven though). It had a great air-con unit which was vital with the heat, plus a TV & speaker for plugging your music into. The bathroom had a really nice shower, there was a hairdryer & iron, plus plenty of cupboard space for hanging clothes etc. The cleaner popped in every day around lunch. We really enjoyed relaxing at the apartment with a glass of wine.
The bathroom smelt really bad. We think it was some sort of drainage problem. We dealt with it by putting an air freshner in there & making sure we kept the window open & door closed so that the smell didn't spread to the rest of the apartment. To be fair, it wasn't a deal breaker as the bathroom was really nice apart from that. The bed was comfortable but would have been better had it been a bit wider. I slept on the sofa a few times so that my girlfiend could get a better nights sleep without me in the way. Not comfortable for me unfortunately. The only other thing that might be useful to know was that the apartment was situated at the top of the building which meant climbing the stairs as there wasn't a lift. We didn't mind this at all so aren't critiscising it, we just thought it could be a problem for some people that would already be struggling with the very steep hills of Lisbon.
The place is really nice- you can discover the real way how do people in Lisbon live- it is like to have a flat in a common house.
You have to arrange to get the keys on a particular hour, which can be very stressed. And also- there is no mark of the appartments neither on the bells or on the house.
Location is awesome - 10 mins walking from city centre yet quiet for convenient sleep. Has everything you might need. The staff is very friendly. You get the real apartment for the price of hotel
Nothing to mention - everything was great. Thanks guys - keep doing the awesome work!
we really liked the very charming floor and all in all it was very nice to stay there
I loooooved it, really adorable
annoyingly loud traffic, all the time.
Staff really great, house super clean, great location and super quiet at night.
The upstairs pink room needs an urgent blind! Not suitable for people who like sleeping late without direct sunlight.
Excellent for a visit to Lisbon
