We had a top floor room with a most amazing view of Praca Dom Pedro iv and St George Castle. This was a pleasant surprise, since this was not even mentioned in their website! Nobody on hand to help with luggage on arrival. We had to carry our cases up a flight of stairs, and then take a lift to the reception. Also, no free wifi in the hotel rooms. Free wifi only available on the 1st floor. |

I enjoyed the view over the square and the fact that as soon as I stepped out I was at the centre of everything. I also liked the fact that the staff spoke very good English and were helpful about tourist information and booking tickets. The rooms, while comfortable and spacious, were a little shabby. |

Location was superb, walking distance to most areas and good transport links to other areas firther out. Very old fashioned amenities. Shower was almost impossible to operate. Breakfast room was far too small for number of guests. |

We enjoyed staying this hotel for 5 days. Ideal location in center. Good bed but a little bit short. Good breakfast. Ensure you get the room facing to the Rossie square - you'll love the view over the square to the castle from the french balcon. Heavy traffic did not bother us in nights. We come back. The lift was slow - we walked up to the third floor. Carpets need renewing due to the spots on it. |

The location is perfect, the room was big and quiet, and the breakfast was good, too. The shower flooded our bathroom, and there were two single beds instead of one double bed. |

centrally located, comfortable bed the bedroom furnishings were way past their prime - dusty carpeting, drab curtains, threadbare upholstery on chairs. The reception desk was a stairway up from street. Inconvenient to have to stop and return the key before proceeding down to street. Very old-fashioned bathroom. |

the fact that the hotel has atmosphere of old times and also keeps up the old style furnishings and faucets in bathroom. Feels warm and pleasant in those surroundings. the entrance is poor for such hotel. The fact that you have ( as an older person) to bring up suitcases over stairs is not acceptable for a second time and reason to find other accomodation. E uma pena de verdade. |

The location is terrific for exploring Lisbon on foot and by public transport. We took day trips to Cascais and Sintra by train and used the airport bus from Rossio. Breakfast is excellent with good coffee and attentive, friendly staff in the dining room There was virtually no apology, and certainly no offer of redress, for two nights of interrupted sleep caused by noisy, aggressive and drunken neighbours. Reception told us they were Dutch Navy submariners. They partied in the room all evening until 10 or 11pm and then went out until 3am when they started all over again. They crashed the door, ours and next door, so violently that they cracked the timber door jamb and there were paint flakes all over the carpet in the passage in the mornings. |

Location could not be better, the staff was very helpful, breakfast was entirely adequate. This part of Lisbon gets quite a few sidewalk beggars and aggressive hawkers of junk. An annoyance. |

I loved the location. It was perfect. You can walk to the castle, the shopping area and the bars and restaurants. I didn't like the breakfast. |

The excellent location in the center. Perfect view on the square. Easy to reach by bus (44, 91) from the airport; should be more prominently advertised. Slightly noisy from the square. |
