Location, Staff were most helpful and friendly. Hotel has a great open area in reception.
Decor was a bit shabby, but great value for money.
personnel was friendly, small hotel not crowded
carpets needs to be changed! curtains need to be cleaned!
Position convenient for all attractions
Surrounding noise. Have to accept that if you have a central position there will be traffic and other noise
Bruno was so helpful in making good suggestions and ordering a cab. Always smiling. He is a gem and deserves a raise in pay. You do not often find such caring and cheerful workers.
Hotel Metropole made our holiday in Lisbon. We could not fault it in any way. Perfect location, outstanding service from all the staff and beautiful décor. Would definitely come back and stay here.
Nothing. Everything was perfect.
no wireless in rooms, beds could be longer
Helpful, professional staff. Pleasant, airy lobby. Fine breakfast buffet and coffee to start the day.
The chairs are all worn and sagging, including the breakfast chairs. The wooden furniture is still lovely, but the unholstery needs improvement.
location is good
third bed was of camping-quality and the two others were old and creaky
Great location and good value
Room standard very poor Bathroom standard very poor Hotel standard very poor Hotel facilities very poor Public room standard very poor Breakfast room standard very poor Not good value for Money.
Staff very helpful, breakfast ok, location.
Lift was broken and only available from the 1st floor. Bathroom had a bad smell and towels had holes in them.
The location was great - close to all sightseeing, funicular, restaurants, river etc. The staff were helpful and friendly.
The beds were hard, creaked every time you moved and had a plastic cover under the sheet that was uncomfortable. The bath/shower had mould in the tiles. The wi fi was non-existent in the bedroom and sporadic in the public areas. The hotel needs an upgrade throughout and it's totally overpriced for what it offers.
Right on Praca Dom Pedro IV - lively evenings. Aerobus stop right outside. Excellent standards of staff. Clean and comfortable. Hot and cold breakfast buffet.
Room at the back, early delivery van noise (not too intrusive with windows shut)
Location location location ! Wonderful staff, very informative and helpful Clean and tidy
Dated decor and interior Tired old furniture Breakfasts get a bit monotonous
Staff were amazing - friendly, helpful and seemed perpetually happy. Front desk always had person fluent in English even though we insisted in trying out our Portugese (staff also patient). Room was on back of hotel and very quiet given hotel location in centre of town. Location could not be better. Breakfast adequate for our needs. Shower excellent. Internet service in lounge worked well at all times.
Elevator did not work for 4 days. We stayed fit taking the 82 steps to our 4th floor room. Staff stayed fit handling guests luggage (again... Cheerfully).
Great location Excellent staff
Lift out of action. We were on 5th floor. Not a problem for us - we always use stairs!
Cant beat location, bang on Rossio sq. Bathroom was average - good.
Very overpriced. Creaky, old beds. Air con in the rooms not great = too hot. Very dated elevator.
The location is excellent, facing Riossi park, short walk to train, riverfront and beautiful downtown. The staff was quite helpful. The buffet breakfast was a wonderful way to start the day.
The bed was stiff and noisy, and one night's sleep was disturbed by street noise. The TV quality is adequate but not modern. The WiFi service only available in lobby, and not working consistently.
Splendid view from the window. Good location for sightseeing and shopping.
Noisy until midnight
A nice room with a nice view. Excellent service from the friendly staff!
The minibar was out of order (not chilled) - but we didn't need it anyway ;)
Location great, lounge/reception area nice. Breakfast ok - not a huge choice, but ok
Rooms very dated. Hairdryer didn't work, dripping tap, furniture and general fittings very old.
Very old furnishings, not art nouveau. Poor TV Old bathrooms Terrible breakfast Pictures on website show a much better image than reality
There was a large discount, or I wouldn't have afforded it. I turned out to be an excellent central location on a main square. Staff were really helpful.
It had seen better days. Spacious bedroom and lots of storage but all a bit worn out, and the bath was so high it was quite dangerous to climb in and out of.
Excellent location Helpful staff Good breakfast Spacious and nice room (big balcony towards the Rossio square) Aerobus stop right outside the hotel
