Hotel Mirachoro Praia  

We have stayed at this Hotel many times for a few days purely on cost and location, pool is good and many places to eat and drink within walking distance.

Staff could be a little more service minded. Some parts of the Hotel look dated.

We like Corveiro very much, in our opinion is the best place to stay at Algarve!! We were in this hotel two times and every time was great. The hotel is situated on the hill so it's very nice sea view if you are lucky or ask for a room with a sea view :-) Very good quality of dishes for dinner, really nice breakfast, everything which you need ;-)

i thought the decor was original which created a relaxing ambient atmosphere. Breakfast and bar food very good too . Over all a great place to stay in !

Position, cleanliness and a colour scheme that can only cheer you up. Wacky is the only word to describe it. Great fun. Ample car parking for those travellers who have hired a car. Friendly staff all with excellent English.

Lovely hotel close to Restaurant Hill (Estrada do Farol) and 5 mins walk to the beach at Carvoeiro and within 10 mins drive to lots of other fab beaches including Praia da Marinha, voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! Good breakfast choice. We had a room on the 3rd floor which had a sea view.

I have stayed in a lot of hotels, the bed in my room was the most comfortable bed I have slept in! Very clean & spacious room with a lovely covered balcony. I would highly recommend this hotel.

A comfortable hotel with a full range of facilities including indoor pool and jacuzzi. Good selection of quality restaurants close by.

Very very quiet just off season, but that was hardly the hotel's fault.!!!

The hotel was excellent. All the staff were professional, pleasant, and very helpful. The hotel is clean, bright and spacious. Breakfast was plentiful and good quality.

The Mifachoro is a friendly hotel. I have stayed here on a couple of other occasions. It is near enough to the town center yet far enough away not to be disturbed. The staff are reserved and friendly.

They used to have tea and coffee making facilities in each room. These have now been removed.

Don't dismiss this too readily ! I'm a regular independent traveller and ordinarily look for a hotel with the highest review score available within my budget, and never before have I entertained anywhere scoring less than 8 out of 10. However on this occasion, wishing to go particularly to Carvoeiro, with a “mature couples” score of 7.8, and B&B for at least for my stay represented what I thought was good value, I decided to give the Mirachoro a chance. Having read a number of reviews on this and other sites, I admit to arriving with some trepidation, but also an open mind. Yes, there are a couple of staff members who are, shall we say “less than forward “ and one who particularly looks as though he has the weight of the world on his shoulders. Neither speaks unless you force them to, but not being able to command any real amount of English doesn't help. - Maybe one for the hotel management to think about during the closed season given the majority of quests were from the UK? Yes some of the sun beds have seen better days, but the majority are new. Yes the, toilet seat was plastic, and yes the hotel is a little tired in a few places, but generally in good condition. I have to agree that the TV service in the room is almost neither use nor ornament, and ok, there are no tea/coffee making facilities but the room itself is fine, (albeit the bed and pillows were a bit on the hard side for me personally) but if a 20 channel TV and coffee really make that much of a difference to you whilst on holiday, then this one is not for you. Overall, with its great position, a more than adequate breakfast and a lovely pool setting – at what I paid represented excellent value for money and I would most definitely return. My only major bug bear is the need to charge 20 Euros a week just to hand over a key for the room safe – I would suggest far more travellers would use this facility if it were at a more reasonable cost.

The location is execellent, an array of bars and restaurants on the hotels doorstep, the town is a short walk away, close to the beach, the hotel pool and swim-up- bar are second to none, plenty of comfortable sunloungers, freindly staff, rooms are very clean, clean towels every day (if needed), a good selection at breakfast,nice and quiet for a good nights sleep.

The satalite tv with only one uk channel (bbc world) was bad reception,

Very big hotel the rooms we got were huge very comfortable with a very large balcony and all for an excellent value.

They were serving English breakfast instead of something more local or typical I thought it was very disappointing. Even if it's close to the beach, it's not easy to access this hotel without a car.

The room was big with a huge balcony, breakfast was okay, though it could have more quality for the price. The pool was good and quite calm.

The staff in the Hotel was not friendly at all, exception to the ladies. They apparently cannot smile or reply to Good Mornings. At breakfast they stand in the way and seem to be watching if your not eating to much. They went to my table to remove dishes while we were eating, though we were there at about half an hour, without asking or saying excuse me. Our bed was completely unconfortable. It apparently had a pee cover beneath the sheets that made it hard and plastiky sound. We didn't sleep more than 3 ours each night. The hair drier disn't dry at all and the shower curtain was always glued to my body when showering. Next time I will pick a hotel that will acts more like a 4 star hotel, as the cost wasnt worth the quality.

Lack of variety in breakfast & lack of fresh fruit. Portugese people don't smile enough when working.

Good quality hotel. We would stay there again with no hesitation. Good pool, close to many restaurants, breakfast good also.

Tv channels limited in lounge area, eg. No Sky sports.

Beautiful spacious a/c room and a scrumptious breakfast. Had a lovely buffet dinner one night great value for 14.90 euros

Not enough sun lounges,and the age old problem of reserving beds with a towel all day. Should be better managed.

Some staff were unfriendly No Entertainment.Public areas unkempt. It appeared that generally they had cut down on staff and the gardens and around the palm trees were overgrown.

It is a lovely clean hotel, with a lovely pool area. Very quiet and relaxing; we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

There was nothing in particular that I didn't like; the only thing I would say that the snack menu at the poolside could be improved upon.
