Location is very inconvenient, in Sintra it matters that your hotel should be as close to the railway station as possible. The was bread for breakfast (but only if you come early) and a tea. The tea made from tap water is just undrinkable, better buy bottled water in the grocery store. Very dirty room with hair on the floor. The room is so moist that there was water everywhere in the morning.
Perhaps this is a nice place for students which are used to live in a dormitory anyway, but for us this was a terrible experience. We've booked another hotel in a much better location, much cleaner and overall better for a lower price.
The double bed mattress was very saggy in the middle would have been better off with twin beds.
We had one night here and were warmly welcomed. Room was a good size with en suite. Shower is a bit squeezy but plenty of hot water. Quiet and peaceful, sort 4-5 minute walk to the old Centre of town.
The walls upstairs were thin and could hear the room next door and hallway
The yard was great to relax in after a day spent fighting the hills in Sintra. The place is nice and clean and slightly downhill from the town and main attractions
Couldnt pay w credit card
The people that we met there.
The bathroom facilities were pretty bad for the price of the room.
We paid for a private bathroom, but the shower didn't work at all. The place is super gorgeous, great staff, I personally would prefer more basic and better facilities to shower. Great garden, good location, kitchen, truly only issue was rubbish shower.
there was nothing i didn't like.
Great staff, lovely atmosphere: creative and welcoming, spacious interior, nice garden. perfect location close to historical town centre.
We stayed here for two nights. The view from oor top floor room was unbelievable!! The staff were friendly and helpful with hints and tips re the bus to use and the best Portuguese restaurant to eat in (Apeadeiro near the train station, a must go!).
Shower was Bad The bed was uncomfortable Breakfast was small We werd put in an other house.(there werd nonpictures of US room)
The staff was very friendly.
The bed was week and not that confortable. Its a very cold house and smells a bit due to the humidity, but Sintra really his a humid place.
It looks like a palace from the outside and it looks also so great from the outside. Big old house with a lot of spirit, well decorated, kitchen fully packed with everything you need. Big garden outside, must be great in the summer and nice common room. The bedroom (couple) was awsome in terms of style but the bad was not that great. Point to the detail of in the bathroom opening the small window, with direct view to the castle and palace. There was a problem with the central heating, but they fixed it with an electric warm, worked, so problem solved.
We were there during Christmas and we even got a Christmas dinner as a present! Everything was great, awesome staff and cheap prices. 100% recommend!!!
- Shower is not working when we arrived. - Room is very cold and heater is very noisy. - Not enough kitchen & dining stuffs and not very clean. - Only one toilet and very old, not working well
When I booked I choose a room in the old main building, which is really beautiful, and when we arrived they gave us a room in the other building, more modern, which is not so beautiful and cozy. The room had some humidity smell and was a bit cold.
A very pleasent staff a beautifull garden and areal spirit of a hostel.
Difficult to find even with GPS and map from the tourist office. Not an easy walk as it is very steep terrain. Had a hard time finding a grocery store to buy simple items.
Staff were very friendly and helpful with sites to see and how to get around. Room was quiet and bed was comfortable. Great common area for meeting people and using internet although internet was available in the room too. Our first experience with a hostel as adults. Was great!!
people are so friendly !
Motion-sensing light in hallway was directly at the window above our door so bright light flooded our room every time anyone went to the washroom at night. Staff member was talking very loudly outside our door past midnight. We would expect a bit of this from guests at a hostel, but not from the staff. We stayed at guesthouses in Lisbon, Evora, and Sagres that were much cheaper and nicer, but maybe Sintra is just a more expensive town?
Room was exactly as advertised, nice decor. View from window was lovely. Breakfast was plentiful (bread, jam, cereal, coffee). Back yard was very nice to relax and picnic after hiking up to Castelo dos Mouros!
Too basic breakfast
Good location, helpful staff, tidy rooms, nice garden, and other social places, real multicultural feeling, for world travellers.
Our room was comfortable and clean, and had a large, clean bathroom next door. Breakfast was simple but good (cereal, toast and hot drinks). The hostel is not far from the historic centre of town, and we walked to it from the railway station with no problem. There was a friendly cat in the garden too!
I asked for help by interpretating bus hours and get the wrong information. I mentioned I was travelling on saterday, and I was told all busses were going, which wasn't the case (waste of time, waiting for a bus that didn't show up!)
good location, close to the centre and walking distance from the station. breakfast was basic, but enough, room was clean.
Showers and toilets too small
Snoring Irish men were my only problem, but the place was great!
- Door between room and toilet
- Nice personnel - Very nice number with amazing view - Quiet number - Price
Friendly & helpful staff. Great decor. Nice garden to sit in for breakfast. Lots of comfy pillows on the bed. Quiet & very clean. We had a wonderful time here.
My partner and I recently stayed at Nice Way Sintra and I can honestly say it felt like home. Our room was lovely, the garden is amazing. The staff is just amazing, super friendly and helpful! We will be returning!
The bed was not comfortable (old matrass where you'd roll to the middle). But the worst was the shower that did not work. There was a problem with the water pressure and with the hose so there was no water coming out. It was weekend so they didn't / couldn't fix it..
There was a good atmosphere. The staff was kind, they had a great garden and cool interieur. The room looked really beautiful (we had one of the double rooms with own bathroom).
Super poor and simple breakfast, hanging out yard wasnt that nice after all
Location was good, room was big, carparking option, cheap beer
Nothing, was just perfect.
The building feels like a home, is beautifully and comfortably furnished, the garden is beautiful and you can spend a lot of time just chilling there. You really feel good at this place! The staff is just amazing, super friendly and helpful! I really look forward to come back!
