We stayed here for two nights. The view from oor top floor room was unbelievable!! The staff were friendly and helpful with hints and tips re the bus to use and the best Portuguese restaurant to eat in (Apeadeiro near the train station, a must go!).
The staff was very friendly.
Shower was Bad The bed was uncomfortable Breakfast was small We werd put in an other house.(there werd nonpictures of US room)
It looks like a palace from the outside and it looks also so great from the outside. Big old house with a lot of spirit, well decorated, kitchen fully packed with everything you need. Big garden outside, must be great in the summer and nice common room. The bedroom (couple) was awsome in terms of style but the bad was not that great. Point to the detail of in the bathroom opening the small window, with direct view to the castle and palace. There was a problem with the central heating, but they fixed it with an electric warm, worked, so problem solved.
The bed was week and not that confortable. Its a very cold house and smells a bit due to the humidity, but Sintra really his a humid place.
We were there during Christmas and we even got a Christmas dinner as a present! Everything was great, awesome staff and cheap prices. 100% recommend!!!
- Shower is not working when we arrived. - Room is very cold and heater is very noisy. - Not enough kitchen & dining stuffs and not very clean. - Only one toilet and very old, not working well
A very pleasent staff a beautifull garden and areal spirit of a hostel.
When I booked I choose a room in the old main building, which is really beautiful, and when we arrived they gave us a room in the other building, more modern, which is not so beautiful and cozy. The room had some humidity smell and was a bit cold.
Staff were very friendly and helpful with sites to see and how to get around. Room was quiet and bed was comfortable. Great common area for meeting people and using internet although internet was available in the room too. Our first experience with a hostel as adults. Was great!!
Difficult to find even with GPS and map from the tourist office. Not an easy walk as it is very steep terrain. Had a hard time finding a grocery store to buy simple items.
people are so friendly !
Room was exactly as advertised, nice decor. View from window was lovely. Breakfast was plentiful (bread, jam, cereal, coffee). Back yard was very nice to relax and picnic after hiking up to Castelo dos Mouros!
Motion-sensing light in hallway was directly at the window above our door so bright light flooded our room every time anyone went to the washroom at night. Staff member was talking very loudly outside our door past midnight. We would expect a bit of this from guests at a hostel, but not from the staff. We stayed at guesthouses in Lisbon, Evora, and Sagres that were much cheaper and nicer, but maybe Sintra is just a more expensive town?
Good location, helpful staff, tidy rooms, nice garden, and other social places, real multicultural feeling, for world travellers.
Too basic breakfast
Our room was comfortable and clean, and had a large, clean bathroom next door. Breakfast was simple but good (cereal, toast and hot drinks). The hostel is not far from the historic centre of town, and we walked to it from the railway station with no problem. There was a friendly cat in the garden too!
good location, close to the centre and walking distance from the station. breakfast was basic, but enough, room was clean.
I asked for help by interpretating bus hours and get the wrong information. I mentioned I was travelling on saterday, and I was told all busses were going, which wasn't the case (waste of time, waiting for a bus that didn't show up!)
Snoring Irish men were my only problem, but the place was great!
Showers and toilets too small
- Nice personnel - Very nice number with amazing view - Quiet number - Price
- Door between room and toilet
Friendly & helpful staff. Great decor. Nice garden to sit in for breakfast. Lots of comfy pillows on the bed. Quiet & very clean. We had a wonderful time here.
My partner and I recently stayed at Nice Way Sintra and I can honestly say it felt like home. Our room was lovely, the garden is amazing. The staff is just amazing, super friendly and helpful! We will be returning!
There was a good atmosphere. The staff was kind, they had a great garden and cool interieur. The room looked really beautiful (we had one of the double rooms with own bathroom).
The bed was not comfortable (old matrass where you'd roll to the middle). But the worst was the shower that did not work. There was a problem with the water pressure and with the hose so there was no water coming out. It was weekend so they didn't / couldn't fix it..
Location was good, room was big, carparking option, cheap beer
Super poor and simple breakfast, hanging out yard wasnt that nice after all
The building feels like a home, is beautifully and comfortably furnished, the garden is beautiful and you can spend a lot of time just chilling there. You really feel good at this place! The staff is just amazing, super friendly and helpful! I really look forward to come back!
Nothing, was just perfect.
There was one member of staff who was great!! A man called mike. Very attentive and very informative about whatever you wanted or needed to know. There pretty much all the time and eager to help. The hostel was great and the gardens even better. Had a really great stay there and found it very relaxing and close to the centre of sintra.
Breakfast was a bit bland
Staff very friendly and always available to give advise. Relax and nice athmosfer. Very comfortable. The best hostel I have been till now
the garden is lovely, the hostel had a very nice atmosfier , the staff , aspesialy allan was realy frendly and helpfull. our room was huge! and very nicly designed.good breakfast, good location we realy wanted to stay forever :)
The relaxed atmosphere. The wonderful garden. The way the place was decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all, very good value for money. I would definitely repeat the experience.
The only thing to complain about is the only thing that nobody can do anything about, and that is other guests snoring, but when sharing rooms, there's nothing you can do.
Extremely nice place with extremely friendly guys working there. Its not just a hostel, its a place with its own soul. We lived in private room and it was as comfortable as hotel's one (even with towels and shampoo provided). Shared toilets and bathroom are always super clean. Also it was possible to order dinner there (highly recommend) and eat it in very friendly atmosphere either in the building or in the unusually decorated yard. One of the main feature of this place is its staff - they all seem to be in love with their job, they always smile and are ready to help you(many thanks to the guys from Scotland and Lithuania :-) ).
Cosy atmosphere Great spaceful room with balcony Very helpful and friendly staff
Breakfast is very very basic (bread and jam, cereal, bad coffee)
