Located in the center of Santana, this quaint, traditional hotel offers a peaceful retreat with beautiful views of the mountains and the ocean. Though in a central location, Hotel O Colmo offers a sanctuary of quietness while still being close to all you will need to have a pleasant vacation, including the grocery store and tourism office. Hotel O Colmo is ideally placed for exploring the island, being just 35 minutes from Funchal and 15 minutes from the international airport of Madeira. If you're in Santana you can't forget to visit Rocha do Navio. A 5-minute trip in the cable car will take you down to the sea where you can enjoy a spectacular view. Replacement room was clean, a good size, comfortable bed, powerful enough shower, could change temperature of room by radiator valves, Room recently redecorated. Food good, staff friendly, very good value for money. Nice to have balcony overlooking garden, warm swimming pool. Centre of village so lovely location for looking around Santana and going to other restaurants. Not enough coat hangers or drawer space, first bedroom had a nasty smell, (but were quickly moved with no fuss to nearby room). Have to pay extra for sauna, a lot of wasted space in pool area so no "atmosphere". Old wooden chairs with no cushions to sit on, on balcony. Coffee yuk! (But that's everywhere in Madeira!

Nice hotel, in a classical and traditionnal way. Professionnal and very helpful staff. English and french spoken. Comfortable and large bedroom. Nice bathroom. Good and simple food at the restaurant. Generous breakfast buffet. Swimmingpool and jacuzzi. Nice surroundings. Funny parrot. Hmmm. Frankly, I don't know !

Location in good walking area, though not really a backpackers hotel. Warm room (stayed in February) with adequate radiator. Restaurant menu good.

It was a perfectly located place upon our trip from Sao Vicente to Canical and Machico. Hotel provides excellent value for money, nice room (we have 305), nice terrace with a oceanview and breakfast was delicious. Recommended!

Very nice personell-staff, quite good hotell-restaurant, close interesting surroundings by car, we look forward to come back again. Close to Santanas (Madeiras?) best seafood-restaurant, Pescador-excellent! With children, cold season we choose hotel by, and enjoy the seaview and swimming-pool, but the jacuzzi was to cold. Breakfast is good enough, but the variation was to early emptied, and the coffee was not enjoyable, nescafe-like..

Nos ha gustado todo: el trato del personal, las cenas del hotel, la posibilidad de llevarte la comida sobrante de las cenas (ponen mucha) para hacer excursiones el día siguiente, los desayunos para llevar que nos hicieron dos días, el confort de la habitación, etc. La relación calidad- precio es fantastica. Translation with googletraductor (sorry for mistakes!): Nós Gostou tudo: o tratamento do pessoal, jantares do hotel, a capacidade de tomar as sobras do jantar (preste) para caminhar no dia seguinte, lotado pequeno-almoço feito dois dias, o conforto do quarto, etc. o valor é fantástico. We have liked all: the staff, the dinner, the breakfasts to take away that they did, the room comfort, etc. The rate quality/price is wonderful

Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist super - 30 € für Vier-Sterne. Die Ausstattung war durchaus in Ordnung, manche Accessoires sind aber so billig und zudem provisorisch befestigt, dass die Zimmer wohl recht bald abgewohnt wirken werden. Balkonschiebetür (im Erdgeschoss) war nicht verschliessbar. Essen im Restaurant wenig schmackhaft, Bedienung herablassend und reisegruppenorientiert. Frühstücksbuffett jedoch sehr gut und vielfältig!

hjælpsomt og venligt personale. Individuel betjening og tilbud. Central beliggenhed ifh. busstop, restauranter og indkøb. Ro og stilhed efter mange timers vandreture på Madeiras flotte stier sætter vi også pris på, og der er meget stille både i restaurant og på værelserne. Savnede køleskab på værelset, men blev tilbudt opbevaring i hotellets køkken - Flot tilbud

Grand hôtel restaurant sans charme particulier, chambre simple et assez grande. vu le prix (en février) ça reste très correcte. bon petit déjeuner et bien copieux mauvaise odeur en entrant dans l'hôtel ( sorte d'odeur d'humidité). je ne reserverais pas pour plusieurs jours

-Situé à proximité des commerces, d'un arrêt de bus, et des taxis. -Bon confort, bon rapport qualité/prix, bon accueil en français, piscine intérieure et jaccuzi chauffés -Petit déjeuner copieux et variés, salades de fruits frais et gateaux maison -Restaurant excellent avec bonne cuisine traditionnelle, copieuse et à prix raisonnable. Odeur à la piscine Chauffage et eau chaude à partir de 18h.

Le paysage !!! fabuleux !!! dès qu'on marche un peu !! Accueil, restaurant bon rapport qualité prix, prix de la chambre, chambre spacieuse, accès piscine chauffée et jacuzzi sans supplément après une journée de rando très appréciable, départ de rando pour ceux qui ne rechignent pas à marcher un peu sur la route à proximité, arrêt de bus en face de l'hôtel... Le café... Alors que le petit déj est plein de gâteries (pâtisseries maison, salades de fruits frais), la café est ... je ne saurais plus le définir gustativement mais on n'en boit pas du comme ça tous les jours lol.
