Location, very helpful staff, nice rooms, good breakfast Well, only the climb up the hill, but that resulted in the great view of the city. |

It was wonderful to relax on the sun terrace, enjoying the views of the Alfama after a day of sight seeing. The staff were helpful and friendly. |

The hotel was fabulous, in a quiet area of Lisbon away from the noise and traffic but only 10 minutes walk from Rossio Square. The staff were excellent especially Goreia on reception who made some fabulous restaurant recommendations, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent breakfast with a wide choice to suit all tastes. Hotel was modern and comfortable, bedrooms and bathrooms were a good size. Views from our room were fantastic, very convenient for the castle. Hotel at the top of a hill but reception staff could order a taxi to pick up within 5-10 minutes for those not so keen on walking. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would go back there again in the future. |

location which is fantastic, silence during nights, comfort in the room - space and style of furnishing poor bathroom service - leakage of water, lack of exchanging shampoo and wash liquids |

We were lucky to get a lovely terrace. Really nice classic rooms in great area of Alfama only 5 mins from the castle. Make sure you get the number 28 tram back up from the centre, if you're lucky there might be a few Fado singers on board. |

Lovely staff, large room and great position for seeing the castle and wandering through the narrow streets of an old part of town. We found it a delightful and quiet small hotel. We found access difficult and would avoid staying here if we wanted to visit any part of the city other than around the castle/cathedral. Shopping, restaurants and entertainment all required a steep walk down hill and a taxi ride back for us. |

Great hotel, very welcoming and helpful staff, very nice room overlooking the whole city, decent breakfast, internet connection, quiet area Guests should be warned that the hotel is quite high up, so if you're not up for walking or willing to pay for a taxi, choose a different location |

Location Room description on your website was misleading. I thought I was booking a room with a terrace; instead, I got a dark suite with only one window. |

The area, amazing cobble streets & alleys & the historical setting. Very quiet despite being in the middle of Lisbon. Fantastic views over the city. |

The terrace in the Superior Room was nice to have, and the view of the castle from the terrace was beautiful. Staff were friendly and efficient, everyone at reception spoke good English. Good breakfast, fresh bread and fruit; when we came down for breakfast just before the finish time, the breakfast staff were good enough to cook nice portions of eggs specially for us. The location is a little out of the way and it's easy to find yourself in a dingy lane when you make your way down the steps to the left of the hotel. |

Gorretti in reception was very helpful and friendly. The room was big and very clean. There was no iron available in the hotel, not good enough for a 4 star hotel.I got food poison eating the bacon at breakfast. |

Excellent location, nice place and views, friendly staff, modern facilities. It used to be better, though. During my 3 days stay, the wireless internet never worked in spite of reassurances of staff. My demand of adjustment of the price due to this service not delivered, addressed to the manager, was ignored. The room cleaning was grossly negligent, coffee, shampoos etc. were not replaced and the balcony completely ignored. |

I loved staying in old part of Lisbon-cobble stoned narrow streets-with great proximity to the Castle, metro, tram; great views of the city from the hotel; long breakfast hours 7 to 11am; relaxed and friendly as all Lisboans seem to be. For me and my husband it was ideal. The 240 steps down to (or up from) the square might be a challenge for some but there are always taxis. |
