the spa has some funcionalities that were not working and I was not inform of that.

The rooms are comfortable, the staff is very nice, the food is great and the spa is wonderful.

The hotel is new, smart and comfortable. If you're into sports, this is the right place for you. The restaurant was also very nice - generous portions and friendly service. I forgot a baby item in the room and the staff contacted me promptly and offered to post it. Very thoughtful.

The spa is wonderful, with a huge pool/jacuzzi and good sauna and Turkish bath. The building is very bright, with lots of windows, and the room and common areas are vey spacious. The breakfast was quite good.

It's a little difficult to get too.

Excellent facilities ,pool, spa ,tennis and paddle courts. Quiet location. Excellent breakfast and reception staff. Good value for money. New hotel 2011 Short drive to historic Guimaraes. Don' miss it .

The Spa is fantastic.

Helpful desk staff. The quality of the restaurant food was excellent. Varied range of dishes, including traditional Portugese, but avoiding the bland vegetables that often go with the latter. And very moderately priced for what was offered. Good pools and gym. Modern fittings and furniture.

A general complaint about Portugese hotels: no paper tissues in rooms and poor bathroom soaps/shampoos. Obviously targets locals (with cars and passion for tennis) rather than international tourists. (And fair enough, too.) But international tourists might find access to tourist sites more limited or expensive than if staying in town and not all staff communicate well in English. Gym nazi.

The Open Village Sports Hotel & Spa Club is a very clean, well designed hotel with plenty of sporting facilities and very welcoming staff. It's located a five minute drive from the historic city center and lies on a hill that offers a beautiful view over the valley on the backside. The very well designed, modern rooms are very cosy and include a very convenient bathroom with large raindance showers. Possibly the best thing about the hotel was the fantastic restaurant which allowed me to enjoy an excellent lunch and dinner with a view over the valley. The service was as one desires and the price was suprisingly low. As there are very little hotels in Guimaraes, I think this is the best place to stay, even if you aren't interested in the swimming pool, spa, excellent restaurant, tennis courts, etc.

I've visited Guimaraes by train and thus did not have a car. I needed to take a taxi each time I wanted to go to the city center which cost me about 7 € per ride. However, there may be buses going there, though this may be very inconvenient and time-consuming. This wouldn't stop me from returning to this hotel though, especially as there are really hardly any hotels in Guimaraes, and I'm pretty sure there's not a single hotel around that offers this kind of high quality for this budget.

The hotel is very nice with very pleasent facilities. The SPA and the pool are wonderfull The service is very nice and the place as a very nice view.

The room wasn´t bad.

Inside the hotel was very cold, the lobby must have been 14 degrees, and the outside temperature should be 10 º, which is not acceptable. We could not be comfortable at all. Never will be accommodated at the hotel.

Excellent dining - great surprise on a business trip! Staff were friendly and well-trained.

Limpeza em geral e a do quarto. Quarto amplo com janela que abre parcialmente. Funcionários muito atenciosos e simpáticos. Silêncio e calma. Fica muito perto de Guimarães e do MitPenha. Parque estacionamento privado, wi-fi, etc.

Hier hat alles gestimmt. Es handelt sich um ein 4 Sterne Hotel inkl. mehreren Tennisplätzen, Indoorpool und Spa sowie Sauna. Die Zimmer haben alle Top WLAN Empfang sind in dezentem schwarz weiß gehalten und modernst ausgesattet. Mit dem Auto ist man in 10 Min in der Innenstadt und in 5 Minuten auf der Umgehungsstraße, die an dem Hotel vorbeiführt.

Das man für den Poolbereich eine Bademütze benötigt!
