Wunderschönes Hotel mitten in einem herrlichen Wald mit sehr angenehmen Frühstück auf einem überdachten Balkon Ein Brunnen plätscherte die ganze Nacht vor dem Fenster vor sich hin, was ich als unnötig empfand |

Ein historisches Hotel mit atemberaubender Architektur inmitten eines Naturparks! Das (Superior-)Zimmer war sehr geräumig hatte aber weder Stil noch war es gemütlich, das grosse Bad hatte den Charme eines Krankenhausbades! Der Service in der Bar war unterdurchschnittlich (Warten auf Bedienung trotz Nachfrage an der Rezeption 30 Minuten!)! Von einem 5* - Hotel hätten wir deutlich mehr erwartet! |

Das Hotel ist ein Märchenschloß, Glanz aus vergangen Zeiten. Traumhafter Park,der Waldvon Bussaco lädt zu herrlichen Spaziergängen ein. Zimmer sind etwas abgewohnt. Das Essen ist sehr gut, Hauptgang sehr reichlich.Weine zu teuer. |

The staff Ik didn't like the atmosphere of the hotel, a bit spooky I would say. Our room was very basic. I guess there are better rooms but ours was not superb, although we paid for a superior room |

The palace is stunning and the surrounding forest is a jewel. Very nice breakfast Rooms would benefit from renovation. If you do not have a car you will not be able to visit Coimbra unless you stay for few days due to distance from hotel to city and to the few train connections (only two / day during weekends) |

the nature and the old architecture we arrived but our room was not ready. so we had to wait for more than one hour. we were told it would be ready in 15min but it took them more than one hour. after that we felt hungry and decided to ask for a small toast. it took them 20min to prepare it!!!!!!!!! and it is supposed to be a 5 star hotel!!!! the service is incredibly slow... |

It is an unique experience to stay in a palace that usually you can only visit. The architecture is amazing and you can feel like going back in time. The personal was very friendly and the breakfast was also great. The hotel claims it is a five star and while it has clearly the potential, it however lacks a complete refurbishment. There is a feeling that time stopped in the 70's (furniture, carpets, dishes). On the other hand, this would make the room's price go to levels most people could not afford. So this is a good opportunity to stay in a comfortable and wonderfully decorated castle without going broke. |

The food is to die for. Great staff. Go climb up the mountain! Definitely luxurious, although a bit outdated and needing a refit. TV wasn't really working properly and was about 20 years old. Although, a TV shouldn't be the highlight of a hotel stay. |

I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Palace and the surrounding woods. Staff was excellent. The dinning room was a joy to have two meals in. Everywhere you turned there was something beautiful to admire about the Palace. |

Beautiful palace building in a phenomenal nature park. Concierge (Mario? Marco?) deserves recognition for excellent service. We got an excellent price through booking.com. Seems like hotel management doesn't want to spend on hotel (or Bucasso grounds) maintenance (cleaning was very good). Could be cultural, could be insufficient budget for maintenance, or could be a few staff (or managers) who don't want to work. |

The hotel has a very romantic atmosphere. It has an essence of the Manuel style. The park is beatiful in the spring. Good breakfast. The furniture is suitable to the style, but dingy. That TV set doesn't fit to this style of room. |

The hotel setting within the forest and the historical building were great. The guest lounge was very comfortable. The walks in the surrounding forest were pleasant. The young man at hotel reception was extremely helpful. The breakfast was very good. Dinner didn't live up to expectations, and the recommended wime was disappointing. |
