In a refurbished, late 19th-century building in the quaint Alfama district, the Memmo Alfama-Design Hotel has a 24-hour front desk. It features a wine bar, an outdoor pool and Tagus River views.

This is a magnificent 18th century noble residence which has been sensitively turned into a superb hotel. Some of the rooms are really palatial. The staff are very appropriate to the setting and are extremely helpful in every way. Breakfasts are excellent.
Some people may find the lack of parking difficult: as we were travelling by train it did not matte to us. We could find nothing to dislike in any way.
The Palacio Ramalhete is an elegant boutique hotel. It is very charming. The staff was terrific, They went out of their way to help us. The breakfast each morning was delicious. We hope to return again
Interior architecture is very special and unique! Staff are friendly and very nice!
Beds are just OK
This is a surprisingly charming place. A beautiful house decorated with Portugese tiles. We were warmly greeted by delightful staff who could not do enough for us and our accommodation was excellent. The staff were attentive and able to recommend good local restaurants. We had a very early departure time but breakfast was prepared and even served in the dining room at 5.30am - that's service! The area is nice and quiet as it is just off the beaten track but easily connected to the main centres by public transport or a short taxi, or even a short walk. A treasure trove!
The hotel is in a beautiful building with the original period features. Whilst the room I stayed in was small, it had everything you needed. The star of the hotel are the staff - extremely friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to family and friends.
Rooftop pool Breakfast
Lack of value for money. We had an attic room without much natural light. We informed the hotel in advance we were on honeymoon but received nothing complimentary. Some members of staff were very young and perhaps not quite mature eniugh. Overpriced.
Staff very helpful , fantastic facilities opulent surroundings.
Atmospheric hotel with it's history. Friendly staff and excellent breakfast.
A three-day stay in Lisbon was made all the better thanks to the friendly and attentive staff at Palacio Ramalhete. The unique hotel is even more intimate than the online photos would have you believe, giving you the sense of staying in a luxurious home away from home. Great restaurant tip for our first night in Lisbon after a three-hour flight delay and great attention to detail for our eary morning check-out. Will definitely return!
Very friendly and professional service. Will recommend them. Thank you for a very welcome, comfortable stay!
whole ambience of the place, help from staff, comfortable welcoming place, restful and elegant
A beautiful property and the tram on site makes you feel like you are a guest in their home. A fantastic stay and good location.
A bit more choice gor in room dining
This is a tastefully furnished townhouse hotel - unique and tailored to the individual; we loved feeling like we were staying in a very comfortable home, with lovely staff, happy to attend to our needs and requests - we enjoyed breakfast in our room on two of the three mornings we stayed. The outside areas are beautifully maintained and so peaceful, including the heated pool on the top terrace. The location is good, slightly away from the bustle of the city centre, but a short tram or cab ride away. There are a couple of nice restaurants within a few minutes walk and the museum of fine arts directly opposite. We were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary - it was perfect.
Genuine care and interest shown by all staff. The location allowed for easy access to all areas and interests. Primarily, the aesthetic beauty of the place itself. Particularly the 'common' areas.
Exceptionally helpful & friendly reception team - they really were brilliant Luxurious surroundings
Cold buffet breakfast probably a bit over priced at 15 euros per day for what was on offer. This is optional however, you don't have to have it or you can breakfast elsewhere if you choose.
The staff, the room, the common areas, the pool area and the terraces.
The breakfast was poor
This house is truly beautiful and the staff are extraordinarily friendly. Also, breakfast was delicious.
Our room faced Rua das Janelas Verdes and it was kind of loud at night with cars driving along the cobbled street. If noise bothers you, you should request a room in the back.
Room was fine and quite clean
Bad mannered female receptionist. 'Tea and coffee facilities' were 1 kettle shared between the whole hotel. Needed shared key from reception to use safe. Location was quite far from centre and not as nice as advertised - graffiti, dog mess etc. I spent more than I usually do on this hotel and was very disappointed with convenience, location and staff - not recommended!
Charming, relaxed, Just like staying with friends. stunning house & courtyards.
Road noise, lighting, extraction in Bathroom.
Need shutters in the front rooms for light and noise from the main road
It was a fantastic trip at a beautiful, classy hotel not far away from the centre of Lissabon. The room was elegant with very tastefull furnitures and the whole hotel made us a pleasant stay especially the staff members who welcomed us warmly. All in all we had some wonderful days at the Palacio Ramalhete and for sure we'll come back!
Palacio Ramalhete is an exceptional Hotel, very charming, luxurious and special. A beautiful palace, very well decorated and with the spirit of a Portuguese private house. Very nice & helpful staff. We will be back, for sure !
Nothing, all was great !
A beautifully refurbished small palace [townhouse], the staffs are very helpful. A very good in-house wine list! Particularly an excellent collection of Portuguese wine.
Parking is a big problem. We arrived the hotel on our last day of a week trip around Portugal with quite a few luggages. Only when we arrive then we noticed there were no parking! It is not possible to stop the car outside the hotel. The on street parkings near by are always full and the closest parking garage is about 15-20 minutes walk away on a small incline. One can imagine it was a bit challenging with a few bags....
Great place to stay. Located in an older part of Lisbon with hardly any possibility to park your car, but inside the hotel you do feel like being in a different world.
