Score from 1418 reviews Excellent
Cleanliness especially the bathroom, location, size of the room (we had the superior double it was great value). Breakfast.
Everything was great, the only thing which we didn't enjoy was the firmness of the matras. But I suppose that's down to preferance.
Unique original features - staircase - Friendly staff - Good value- Better than a typical "euro" hotel - near to metro - fast access to airport and all parts of town .
Breakfast could be a bit better.
The location and the stuff
Coffee tastes stained and not fresh
Balcony in the room
The location and all the staff are excellent. The room is clean and enough confortable. The decoration in the hotel is orignal. By the way, the Porto is a beautiful city and people there are impressively nice!
However, the TV screen is too small and its placement is too high.
Small breakfest room
Location was perfect, just in the centre of the city. Staff very friendly and supportive.
Great position and stuff very friendly
Breakfast vero avverare and fornitures a bit old
The cost of the hotel and only two minutes from the centre. The rooms were a good size and very clean. The staff and room staff were very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was basic with only one type of ham and one type of cheese, although this may be the norm in Portugal. There were however all the usual breakfast items. We are used to German hotels with a wide selection of meat and cheese.
I liked the architecture, the location and the decor a lot
Service and quality of the breakfast could be improved ...
Good location, breakfast and great value for money.
Slow drain of shower, heavy beddings/duvet, soft pillows and intermittent wifi
Nice hotel big rooms
Extremely nice and helpful staff!
In winter a bit fresh in rooms
The location was brilliant very close to Aliados metro stop just 300m and the nightlife was just 2 streets behind 5-7 mins walk.Do visit "the wall bar" we loved it. Lots of cafes and restaurants in the area. It costs about 15e from the airport. The size of the room we had was very nice it was about 25m and the staff were very friendly.
No hot water during a shower it was just loop warm that spoilt my mood unfortunately and the breakfast was very basic no warm food.
Very friendly staff and an ideal location; very easy to find from the airport metro. The breakfast was very good too with really nice coffee and hot milk.
Location is excellent!
Our room (fifth floor) was right below the breakfast area so we endured a great deal of noise every morning from 7:30.
Location, hotel decoration, view from the balcony and the low price.
Small room (didn't fit with the room we've booked), the bathroom had a small bad smell and the breakfast wasn't very good (the croissants were over and the orange juice tasted really bad).
Breakfast was great! staff helpful and kind Bed comfortable Big room
It was cold,
We were welcomed by the receptionist who spoke very good English and was really helpful from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was okay and the room clean and to the standard I was expecting. This hotel is in a great location to seeing things easily in the City. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other people.
We like the location
breakfast is not for diabetics! (hotel name means literally "sugar bread") - mostly sugary pastries and very little else. We have stayed here before but this time weren't impressed - nothing special.
excellent location and all the sights are within walking distance
Photo on the website do not match reality. We had to upgrade room because it was very small with small bed for two persons although it was double standart room. Poor breakfasts. Old and uncomfortable furniture
The location and value for money is very good. The staff are friendly and very informative and helpful.
The room we stayed in was getting to look very tired and need some refurbishment. Also the heating system was not working so it was quite cold. There was no way you could have a shower as it was too cold in the bathroom. On our last day they put in a couple of electric heaters.
1. Location. 2.Breakfast. 3. Room
perfect location; nice breakfast; friendly staff
was a bit disappointed with the size of the room and comfort of the bed.
