Very nice hotel, comfortable and reasonable.

Very helpful reception, great value for money

I am rarely willing to comment on hotels but in this case it should not pass unnoticed that the courteous responsiveness of staff, the comfort of the room and the general amenity deserve favourable comment for I encountered all in significant measure. Specifically I had been looking for a comfortable hotel for a short stay in Oporto whilst on business and it is difficult to imagine where I could have found a better result. Thank you

Excellent price on the web, very helpful staff. Although not in the old city area you can catch local buses opposite the hotel and also the "hopon hop off" service is opposite as well.

We didnt try the hotel resturant but other eating places harder to find

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Initially we thought we would be too far from the historic town centre, but we were only a short taxi ride away. Public bus services are also available from the bus stop outside the hotel, much cheaper. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of hot and cold food available. We dined twice and on both occasions had very good meals which were prepared with the freshest produce. The service was second to none and our waiter, was always very helpful recommending very good wines at very reasonable prices, yet unobtrusive. The bar staff were equally professional, remembering our orders on our second visit and always serving with a smile. The cleanliness of our suite was superb and all staff from the bell boys were always attentive and helpful. Overall an excellent experience.

The only slight niggle was that in the bar area their was no live music on any of the nights during our stay and that dogs are allowed in the hotel though not in any of the food areas.

The rooms are amazingly clean and confortable. A lovely treat after a long, tiresome day.
