Pedras D'el Rei    

Pedras D'el Rey is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL RESORT. Every single member of the staff is extremely friendly and helpfull. The rooms are beautiful. The incredible beach is max 10 minutes walking distance away. I can highly recommend this resort, we truly enjoyed our stay there.

It is a nice compound with easy access to facilities such as supermarket, bars, restaurants, internet., Access to train which leads to the beach. The surrounding greens are well maintained, nice flowers. We stayed in a luxury apartment which was well designed and furbished.

Although our luxury apartment was well designed and furbished, we were very disappointed with the kitchen. There were no cloths, tea towels, no cleaning equipment, such as sponges for washing up and for cleaning the surfaces, no washing up liquid, no cutting board, no basic spices such as salt and pepper. The kitchen and the bathrooms did not have ventilation, as a result the furniture was damp and the veneer was coming off. The water was scalding hot and not easy to regulate between hot and cold. I burnt my arm and leg by trying to regulate the water temperature in the shower. When I complaint to the reception I was told that it was policy of the hotel to not provide any cleaning equipment, sponges or washing up liquid, but these could be purchased at the supermarket, but we were provided with 2 tea towels the next day. The next day we were offered to move to an upgraded luxury apartment because the boiler could not be repaired to regulate the hot water. We still did not have tea towels or cleaning equipment in the new apartment.

The staff at Pedra d'el Rei were all very helpful and supportive of all our needs. The reception staff excelled and went the extra step. The facilities are exactly as presented in the documentation. The resort is only 40 minutes from the airport and should you wish to visit Spain the journey is short. The supermarket on site was competitive with those nearby. Service and food are good.

Nothing to dislike.

Good location near the ocean shore and one-of-a-kind Anchors Cemetery (which can be accessed by a narrow gauge train, free of charge for hotel guests). Spacious apartment seemed well suited for a week long vacation stay. And... Free of charge nice ginger cat which visited our apartment (the location is inhabited by several cats - which you can enjoy or take into consideration - it's up to you).

Well... The bathtub had a little tricky shape - just watch out not to slip on the soap ;)

Room was a bit damp due to that rooms location but otherwise the location of the park was excellent.

The location is wonderful. The beach at Baril is wide and empty. The nearby village of Santa Luzia has friendly and welcoming restaurants where the fish and seafood are excellent.

The accommodation was spacious and comfortable and the studio apartment had both balcony and patio area to relax in. The kitchen was more that adequate and the rooms were cleaned each day we were there. The only cautionary note I would make is that the rooms would not be very convenient for anyone who had mobility problems as the kitchen area and bedroom areas were on two levels. However, I'm sure there are other accommodations on the excellent complex that would be more convenient. I would definitely return again.

It was very nice and tranquil, great layout of the grounds, clean and well maintained. Close to beaches and towns. The Accommodation was suitable to our needs, clean and the housekeepers were unobtrusive but when called upon were more than willing to meet our needs.

Would of preferred 2 separate bedrooms instead of the sofa sleeping arrangement. Also would be beneficial to provide some sought of kettle. However these are small niggles BUT did by no means spoil a fantastic holiday and would not stop us from returning.

Setting and grounds were delightful. Location was excellent and everything was as expected. No surprises. The price we paid indicated the level of facilities which were adequate for our requirements. Pots and pans/crockery were more extensive than expected, so eating in was a practical option. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful.

The cleaning services were rather haphazard, it wasn't clear when we could expect linen changes, etc. but our stay covered a busy local holiday period and housekeeping staff seemed to be thin on the ground.. Apartment refurbishment is clearly needed but the unit was clean if rather scruffy.

Green open spaces with flowers, trees and hedges

the T1 189F was poorly equipped with cutlery and crockery. Rafter beetles fell on my head at night. Generally the place was in need of refurbishment.

The best place to stay with little children. We asked for a villa with a balcony and a view at the natural resort and the sea, they gave us what we were looking for. Excellent staff, nice position. Very cosy, comfortable and the beach is wonderfull (especially in september, there were no people there...)

The only negative thing is that the prices on the territory of the resort are a bit too high. Anyway you can always take a bus or a car to Tavira to the shopping center and to eat you can go to Santa Luzia which is 2km walk.

Feels you live in your own small villa.Pedras D'el Rei is like a small village where you can get all service you would need (laundry-ironing service, small food shop, bars, restaurant, bike rent, beach stuff shop, swimming pool and etc)Great value for money, great gardens everythere, spacious apartments and all hotel is in very green environment. In kitchen you could find extra stuff as blender or grill which is useful if you stay longer. I would highly recommend for families or couples for longer stay

it's not so close to the beach, you need to use a train which is for free if u take passport from hotel.

Nice location, good swimming pool and well maintained gardens at a budget price

Basic rooms, no air-conditioning, and not very spacious. Restaurant not available at weekend due to weddings and other functions, meaning that many of the facilities were overrun by wedding guests, with their accompanying noise and music!

Near Tavira and other very nice villages

The accommodation is very basic.

Location, facilities, the train to the beach, the gardens. Excelent for travelling with small children.The restaurant, with good food at reasonable prices. The free Wifi. The staff at the reception desk. The restaurants at the beach. The relaxed family atmosphere.

The rooms need to be renewed. They are very old. Poor lightning (too dim) in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Everythng looked very old and worn out. The mirrors were ...not. We had an electrical problem the first day. Sure this may happen anywhere else, but I can't help but think that was because the wiring was very old. The driving speed of some old ladies with their golf carts.

Looks really beautiful with all the grass and flowers, very relaxing, everything nearby.

the kitchen equipment was very poor in the appartment we were staying. There was an oven but no dish to use. Only one small frying pan. the appartment was for 6 adults. Well that was all.. the rest was perfert.

The room was full of cockroach!!!!!! We found them everywhere, in the room, bellow the beds, on the kitchen closets.... Being a country hotel is not an excuse. It is a metter of cleaness. Besides that, the rooms are old, everithing starts to look quite degrdated. For the price you can find a lot better. Totally not recomended.

i have been visiting here for almost 20 years and i have never had a bad experience. very relaxing, reception staff friendly and helpful, good value for money and near a lovely beach. highly recommended

Centre of a wildlife area and good for birdwatching.

The hotel is actually a residential community. Your room is a small but fully equipped house with a nice garden. Very, very nice for a relaxing week-end. Very near the wonderful beach of Tavira island.
