I hate modern lights that turn off and on automatically, totally ridiculous! |

Fantastic location for travelling in and around the Porto area. All trains, metro, long distance and local buses virtually on the doorstep. I chose this hotel on location and price and could not have been more pleased. The location and the marvellous transport in Porto eliminates unnecessary uphill walking which is what I wanted. Not luxury but so much nicer than a faceless modern hotel and good value for money. My only disappointment - the antique lift has been replaced. I was looking forward to seeing that! |

The friendly helpful staff, the location, the spaciousness of the room. The shower in our room, number 439, was almost useless. Low pressure, and impossible to control the temperature. |

This hotel is ideally situated to explore the city of Porto. Busses pass almost by the frront dor and the Railway station and metro station are within an easy walking distance of 2 - 3 minutes. The breakfast was good and plentiful. This is a good value tourist hotel The view from some of the rooms is not very good |

I liked the position extremely close to a main railway station ( not noisy), the Metrotram station and the old quarter of Porto, as well as being very close to the area's restaurants, cafes and shopping. The (current) lack of a restaurant and bar - though I think that's being fixed. The lack of an extractor in the bathroom . |

I like just 2 things - location (in the old center) and collaboration with one parking garage where you pay less if you are guest of hotel. But going by car - its very complicate to get there. And about parking service we were informed just on second day. We visited 6 hotels during 2-weeks vocation in Portugal and Peninusular Hotel was the worst experience! We asked for Deluxe room with double bed that must be bigger and more comfort than standard room (as was written on the site). But when we saw very small room with dirty walls, broken shower and very very old towers I was disappointed - why this room called as “Deluxe”. Maybe it is Standart+ but not deluxe. I felt deceived. I will never use it again and never recommend it!! |

Charming hotel, renovated in 2007, located in the centre of the city, close to public transport, shops (like the famous shopping street Rua Santa Catarina), monuments and the old town. |
In the heart of the city of Oporto, right at Praça da Batalha square the Hotel has fully equipped with direct phone; Satellite/Cable TV, internet connection, radio, hair dryer and coffee/tea maker. |
The Grande Hotel do Porto is located downtown, right at the city centre, where it enables its guests to immediately taste Porto’s culture. |
Boasting a great location in Porto's historic centre, right next to the city hall and Aliados metro station, this hotel equals comfort and quality. |
