Although there is an elevator, it doesn't goes till the 5th floor, where the rooms are located
Location Good (new?) matress on the bed Clean linen
- Being the only person in a room with two queen sized beds and a bunk bed - The old clinical look of the room, with bedside tables that looked as you were in a hospital - The noise from bars at the back street - The old windows that didn't insulate noise - The old curtains that didn't cover the sunlight - The old small TV with a half working remote near the celling - No aircon! - Breakfast with little choices.
Very accessible to centre good breakfast staff arranged to give us it early as we had an early train to catch Convenient computer in main reception area
Breakfast not much choice
I loved the staff, they were very friendly and accomodating. The location can't be better, right in the main street; walking distance to everything. The breakfast was good, simple but nice.
It wasn't exactly what we expected, it had a pension look more than a bed and breakfast type. It can be noisy if you have inconsiderate neighbors. The mattresses are old and you can feel the springs on your back while you sleep.
Great location in the city center. Basic but clean. Friendly staff.Good breakfast.
Stairways, about 30 steps to lift with a heavy luggage, it is very difficult to climb upstairs.
Location is excellent and the b&b is very basic but good value for money
To reach the elevator you need to climb a steep flight of stairs, so beware if you're travelling with a lot of heavy luggage!
The location is excellent
The lift can handle up to a certain point. Breakfast is so limited.
The location was ideal. A perfect value for money. Apart from that it was very clean and the personnel was very helpful.
10 minutes walk to city centre and 5 minutes to train station. Right in front of the metro. Breakfast was "just" ok. Staff tried to help as much as they could despite the language handicap. Aircon working and room isolated from the noise of the Avenida Aliados. Good experience.
Could be a bit more up-to-date on decoration and stuff, but it was ok for what it costed.
Central location Helpfulness of all staff
Basic good value B&B.
Shower was not working. Wifi not great
Great location Warm welcome Simple but good breakfast No noise from the street
Lousy wifi connection Beds a bit short
Due to delayed flight, I arrived at the hotel at 2:00AM. The kind lady at reception was friendly even at this time of the morning. The room we had on the top floor overlooking the piazza was comfortable. The breakfast was nice. It was served by two ladies in house keeping uniforms. They brought each of us a tray of good coffee, hot milk, a fresh roll, a donut like pastry, melba toast, jam, a slice of hame and a slice of cheese. A metro stop is right outside the door. The hotel is on a main piazza with lots of restaurants and shops and easy walking distance to some major sites. It is a bit of walk to the waterfront although going down is easy. My wife got sick from jet lag and it was 5 Euro cab fare back to the hotel. I will definitely choose this hotel when I return to Porto
There are two flight of stairs to the elevator so if you have lots of luggage or are physically challenged, this might be something to think about. This issue would not stop me from rebooking.
The entrance, a lot of stairs as you go in.
too many steps up to lift
very friendly staff, excellent room for this price
location was good. bathroom was very sunny and had a view.
we couldn't use internet. mosquitoes were everywhere.
A great location 10 m from the metro, 200 m from the railway station. Friendly and helpful staff. Enough space in the room. Very well maintained.
This property has once its glory, as many buildings around. Apparently there are two different types of rooms, some with windows looking the main square , that look a little better, as in pictures posted on site, but the rooms facing the backside are gloomy and some even lack windows !!, and those that have, are opaque, because in a couple of meters there are three houses deserted and runned down , the view is pure horror! Apparently the price is the same for all rooms. Our room lacked a minimum decoration that could cheer up a little bit the atmosphere !The beds not comfy either ! The parking place 2km away, at least the metro staton is near. ! I am sorry for the kindness of gh0e personal that tried to compensate the drawbacks of the establishment, but that could not improve our general impression of the place, and sadly of the whole city...Our opinion is that one leaves Porto with mixed feelings of bitter and sweet ...it is a pitty that once probably a wonderful city looks now so mixed up , hectic and degraded .
Great Location and Staff
The location. The room is big. The staff is very helpful.
The toilet when in use can' t close the door. Some steps to carry the luggage when check in and go to the room.
Location is great near the main train station, the room has ensuite bathroom (with tub and soap), and it comes with free breakfast (yummy hot chocolate!)
The high steps at the entrance leading to the elevator is really tough.
Car park a bit far but good it's free
