Hotel do Norte  

The location is great, right in front of the metro station and near everything.

I booked a single room that was very, very small, it was difficult to open the luggage. There was no television in the room, only the support, when I asked one, they simply said me that not all the rooms had tv. There was no lift in the first two floors and only a little room with four chairs to access the wi- fi internetet. My bath was with problems too. For the same price I think I could find other better hotel with a good location too.

Location and comfort.

Location, location, location. It could not be any better. 15 minutes walk to the river, plenty of shops around (Via Catarina s.c. around the corner), Bolhao metro station (direct connection with the Airport) is just across the street a few meters from the hotel. The hotel itself seems to be recently renovated, the room although small (after all it'is a city center), had everything we needed. Very clean and tidy, comfortable bed. Although other reviewers mentioned traffic noise at night we somehow didn't have that problem (we had windows on the street). Hotel staff very friendly, helpful with very good knowledge of english. Next time I'm in Porto I am definitely staying in this hotel.

There was a slightly unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom at times.

Good location to see the old parts of the city. The Lady in reception helped to change my room when we told her that we need internet connection urgently (internet was not available in the first room)

No food and breakfast. Very poor internet reception in most of the rooms.

The location was great, it was right in front of the Bolhao station which is situated at the very heart of Porto. The rooms were very clean and albeit small were quite comfortable. The staff knew English and Spanish.

There was no actual elevator, just a service elevator that's quite slow. Also, wifi is only until the second floor.

The staff are extremely nice,friendly and honest. I forgot my money in the room,when I got back, it was UNTOUCHED.This shows how honest they are. I felt save,relax and happy throughout my stay. Everything is within reach.So nice an experience that I had there.

Excellent location, very close to Universitat Metro Station, which is one stop from Placa Catalunya and Las Ramblas. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Noisy outside at night - no fault of hotel, just noisy people with no thought for others trying to sleep.

Location, Location & Location It's just next to the main street with lots of shop, restaurants; days and nights. The hotel is very clean and bright! 8 mins walk to bus station and 6 mins to train station. 2 receptionists are very friendly and the dinning places they recommended are great. Daily cleaning is very good, even though we leave the room quite late, after noon, they would still clean up our room.

As it's next to main street, which there are some traffic and please expect there is not extremely silence like in the forest. If you are light sleeper, wear a ear-plug. Again, there is a little window on top of the door which mean if someone pass-by in the night, the light would reflect into your room; so need eye mask if you are light sleeper.
