Location, comfort... etc.
Staff seems to be not very friendly...
the price of the room is good. also the hostel is clean and nice staff. the location is perfect
cold at night in the winter.
Excellent Wifi and Spotlessly Clean bathroom. Great location too.
No Heater installed in the room.
Great location, friendly staff, basic but very clean
Slightly cold but plenty of bedding supplied to keep us warm during the night
Location and price.
The room was cold and wet. There are no heater in the room. Water in the shower was slightly warm.
The location is quite good, the rooms are spacious and the value for money in my case was really good.
We had to pay in cash upfront. We arrived at 4 a.m. and had to go looking for an ATM since we could not even pay in the morning. I really really disliked that! All the rest was fine and staff was nice.
saperated bathroom large bed not that small room
little cold in winter staff's bad english
Great location, great wifi, comfortable bed, kindly staff, great value for your money. Incredibly cheap!
For this cheap price don't expect a 5* hotel, but spending couple of days in Lisbon the Pensao Elegante is good choice.
I have never been somewhere so clean! The bed was comfortable.
No heat in the rooms. They got us an electric heater eventually but the first night was a cold one.
Comfortable bed, close to centre.
No hot water in rooms.
The location is great! Very near to the city centre and you can walk to the Rossio station in 5 min; It is not that difficult to find this hostel: Just go up along the way of Elevador da Gloria and climb the first stairs you found at the right side. It is at the top end of the stairs.
It's a bit cold at night, and a little noisy because of the Elevador da Gloria. But it totally worth its value.
- The room was quite cold
-very good localization (nearby Elevador da Glória & Restauradores station), -helpfull staff, -clean,
-cold(no heating!) due to the wather, -strange smell (old building?),
Location: close to metro station Restauradores and to the Bairro Alto area The stuff was friendly and helpful Quiet area
The room was very cold because they don't have elements nor air conditioning The stuff doesn't speak good English
price is very reasonable
The staff didn't tell us in advance that they did not accept the visa card. The room was so cold with no heating.
Staff friendly, Beds comfy, Clean, £10 for a double room to urself, Bargain! Highly recommend it to those wanting to budget stay
Excellent position in Lisbon, the staff is friendly. If you're going in the cold season ask the staff for a heater because there's no heating system in the room. Overall I would recommend with confidence.
Thin walls, the hot water running some minutes and after you have to wait 1-2 minutes to get again the hot water.
nice staff, clean room, good wifi, help me call taxi and wash my clothes!
cold room, some staff cannot speak english
+ good wifi + excellent value for money
Staff was friendly, helped us carry our luggages to our room and allowed us to store our luggages after checking out on the last day. Located very near to Restauradores metro station and comfortable walking distance to major attractions in the city centre. Free WiFi is fast and strong. very cheap - only 15€/night for a double room.
- No heater available in the room which was freezing!! Asked the staff for a heater but they said they are out of heaters (?! What?!) and offered to add an extra layer of cloth in the blanket (appreciated but still cold when not under the bed e.g. toilets, showering, changing clothes) - Shower was temperamental. The water would be hot for about three minutes before becoming freezing cold. We would have to run the water for another minute or so (while standing in the cold) before the hot water would return for another short-lived three minutes. Rather unpleasant experience we would much rather avoid especially in the winter. Room looks kind of dirty and old...but we weren't expecting much for the price. Lights didn't work sometimes and would take awhile to come on.
nice place to stay for the night or two, right in the center, clean and quiet
it's really cold in the winter
really good location and very cold in the room in January
there aren't TV
The hostel is in a great, central location. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It also had an in-suite sink and shower, which was convenient and the shared bathroom was spotless clean. The staff was also very helpful and allowed us to hold our bags there when we arrived on our overnight bus at 8am before check in.
Our only complaint was that there was no heating, which at the end of December made for some chilly nights, but with extra blankets was not unbearable. And for some, hostel may be difficult to get to as you must climb a steep little hill (but was not a problem for us)
It is a small Hotel in a beautifull location with beautifull views to the city! The little square is so charming with a beautifull tree. The Staff is very friendly, specially D.Hortênsia and her son Joao!
I liked everything in this small Hotel! I stayed all the time there when I go to Lisboa!
Hospitable an helpful employee.
Very small badroom. No heating. So, be ready to freeze. Discomfortable bed. No sound proofing. With these reasons, there should be better places with better benefit/price ratio.
