location and the shower in the room
I'm glad I had to stay here for only two nights. Shared toilets were awful. You have to take a scary corner to get to the hotel. tiny room.
All of the employees are very nice and helpful.
It wasn't so clean.
Excellent location, fantastic price. Sink and shower in room (not new and shiny but fantastic water pressure which is most important!). Reasonable double bed. Nice little balcony and cat visitors on local rooves.
Limited English, one staff knew a little and was quite friendly but he was not there all the time. Others okay, but didn't really engage much beyond necessary despite offering to speak basic Portuguese (and Spanish with one lady who spoke it).
It is close to every places in the city center and it was most important aspect of our choice of hotels. The staff is polite and helpful
It was a little bit noisy at night because the little window of our room was looking at the staircase (street) and there was always nightlife at the cíty centre. If I had known it forward, I would have required a room not at the groundfloor, but at the first or second floor with view. But anyway it was worth the price.
Convenient location, no frills but clean, good size rooms. We stayed on two occasion and first time was very nice, we had a very nice room (I think it was 102) with balcony overlooking the city. Room had private shower. On the second time we stayed in different building on ground floor- which wasn't very nice, there was a private bathroom but the smell from the pipes was terrible. Because it was on the ground floor near the entrance you need to close your curtains and you can hear everyone passing by. It's a budget accommodation so you get what you are paying for, for this price and location you can't complaint too much.
My lovely place for stop in Lisbon. Hotel like my home. Great locathion, absolutely clean, very frendly personal. I love this place. I stay two time and come back more. I m sure.
Good quiet location close to famous old funicular and within easy access of old town sights. Staff speaks adequate English.
Location, but could be a bit iffy for single female travellers, or those of a nervous disposition
Central location Cheap price Private shower
In one side of the house you are next to a noisy bar (on the other side of the house it is a lot quieter) Shared toilet
The location is very good, between Restauradores and Bairro Alto. Also, very close to the Metro. Rooms are big, great value for money
The rooms are a bit worn off, furniture is old, no TV
not sure how it got 8.2, I would think of it more as a 6-6.5. The building is old, with mold, the kind you expect in a prison rather than a hostel. With 30 euros you can find very nice modern and clean hostels a couple of metro stops away in Lisbon, I wouldn't recommend to anyone staying here
the location was fine, it feels a bit dodgy at night, not dissimilar to the rest of the city; the shared toilets were fine enough.
the room was awful; not clean (I found a hair on the bed linen), the walls were paper thin, the hostel across the street was extra loud. staff's understanding of English would range from mediocre to non existant.
nice location, quiet hostel, open 24, shower in the room.
Perfect location, excellent value for money. New towels and sheets daily! Very clean and room was excellent with onsuite bathroom.
a good value for the money; very nice location
Great location, guest house was spotlessly clean. Towels changed and bed made daily. Couldn't have asked for any more for what we paid.
Central location but very quiet nights, friendly staff, large room
No elevator, steep walk up from Baixa, only cash payment
Close to tourist attractions, helpful staff, very clean room. Room had three beds - good value. Would stay here again.
A little noisy outside but to be expected in central location.
good value for double room. good location close to centre friendly staff
a lot of noise from the street, people out drinking in the early hours with no regard. horrid looking hostel opposite making a lot of the noise.
Closeness to centre of Lisbon Quaint, cheap accommodation Friendly helpful staff
Minor gripes only - number of steps to reach hostel from main road and noise from late revellers in street
-very centrally located -clean room (including towel, linens etc.) -nice price -I would recommand the guesthouse for short stays (or if you do not need any comfort)
-hard to find (make sure that you are prepared, e.g. print a map) -my room was close to the entrance and to the historical tramway, so it was somewhat loud.
A very good value for the money
Great place to stay, great location, very friendly personal!!!
