Pretty close to the metro station, Staff are nice
The room was cleaned every day. In a great loction
Room got a bit cold at night
I liked of the location...really central. Big room and comfortable bed. wifi worked.
It was cold inside the room. No heater there :(
It was the cheapest hostel i ever been, excellent value for money
bit cold in the room
- Central location in Lisbon but off the beaten path! - Spotlessly clean - Exceptional value for money - Wifi is stable and reasonably fast - Bottles of water sold at reception reasonably priced
Hot water in shower come and go sporadically but if you hold for a couple of minutes it will be back. Can't really complain at this price to be honest.
The cold in the room once you are out of the bed
The rooms were fairly big, they were clean and beds were made daily, was almost like a hotel but with shared bathrooms. perfect spot which is tricky to find i would recommend GPS it before you go as the locals tried to help but also didnt really know. literally walk down some stairs and you are at the centre. would definitely stay again
The staff didnt speak the greatest english but enough for what we needed. Hard to find do your research before landing
perfect location nice stuff good value for the price
bed was not very comfortable
everything very clean even though toilet is outside of the room, has easy access and in number of 3 is enough good wi-fi kind stuff but poor English
toilet is outside of the room
the position is great. in 2 minutes you are in the city center.wi-fi is very good.
it s a low cost accomodation :). They don t speak english at the reception ( never happend to me before , anywhere else :)
location was actually good until the last stairs that you have to climb. there was no air condition but by our request they even gave us a heater. they clean the bed sheets every day.
there is no key for the outside door, if your room is in the other building than the one with the reseption, everytime you want to enter your building you have to go to the reseption and ask them to open the door.
good fr the money, good lokation
The location, the clearliness, very good wifi, room facilities (bathroom, toilet, clean towels every day), for this amount of money you have the best
Cold temperature in the room (but it was late November)
unique experience home from home an d hosPITALITY MADE up for steps cleanliness of rooms toilet areas and bathrooms excellent great value near to metro and buses and barrio alto good cafes and bars
The price is very atractive, and also the location in the heart of typical Lisbon. Everything very clean. Wi-fi working very fast.
I was surprised by the high score given to this small hotel in Booking (rated as very good?!)...My room was quite shabby, with craks on the wall and one of the beds had seen better days. Building very outdated and in need of refurbishing. In the room I was given, the window did not close properly, being very old, and could hear all the noise from the street (gladly it was a quiet one). Bed with blankets instead of duvet. The bathroom had a small window/opening always open to the outside, which in cold weather can't be confortable...
My friend and I went to Lisboa in November 2014. We enjoyed our holiday also thanks to the Pensao Elegante: the staff was very nice to us, very helpful and gave us some useful tips. We had two huge beds and a very big room. The towels were changed daily and everything was clean. And last but not least: it's REALLY cheap!! :)
The only negative thing was that they don't have any radiators, so it was a bit cold in the morning. However there were enough blankets.
Location is great (although it's a hike up the hill with luggage). I stayed in a room with its own shower and a shared toilet. It worked out just fine for me. The room is spacious and the bed was pretty comfortable. The staff doesn't speak English but someone was always at the front desk. It's very close to the subway. I paid 10 Euro a night so can't complain.
There was a little bit of street noise, but not bad. The hike up the hill with luggage is not for those who are out of shape.
Lots of character, wooden floors, azulejo tiled walls, balconies and comfy old beds. Rooms are not luxurious but spotlessly clean. It's right by Gloria funicular between Restauradores and Bairro Alto.
A pity breakfast, or at least coffee, is not available, but Brasil cafeteria close by at the top of the steps is a welcoming snack stop.
1) Excellent location in Lisbon. 2) Very clean. 3) People very gentle and helpful. 4) Cheap for a place very well located
1) Some customers very noisy. Nothing to do except yell at 'em to make them quiet and turn off the radio when it's 4' AM. 2) Since few months, a new "backpacker's place" settled in front of Pensao Elegante. One of the worst and most noisy strudent's place with people living by night and sleeping the whole day, drinking beers. Very noisy.
The hotel is located in the city center. All you need is very close: metro, attractions, tourist center, train station, cafes and restaurants.
It was a bit cold in the room in the middle of November, but it did not spoil a good impression about hotel.
The location was great and hotel is very clean. Staffs arr very friendly as well. I will visit again
The building look from outside.
Very good price, room and bathrooms were very clean. Great value for money and ne'er the centre.
Value for money Cleanliness
Very good service, incl cleaning ( every day ) and assisting in printing. Excellent location, only 2 minutes from the centre, and Price- Quality is : 9,8
