The localization is close to the city center and the Bus Station. Stuff was friendly and let us leave our luggage for the rest of the day when we were walking around the city before departure. The WiFi signal was very good. Shared bathroom was clean, with hot water. I guess it's a good place to stay for maximum one night, with limited budget.
We were there for the New Years Eve night, so fortunately we didn't have to spend there too much time, only to sleep a little after celebrating;) The whole hostel was really cold even though outside was pretty warm during the day. For small heater you should pay extra money. The noises from the street and bus station were very intense. Our window was broken, but as the staff couldn't speak English at all, we gave up on any attempts to talk about it. The walls in our room were also very thin so we could hear everybody talking in reception desk or walking around.
the hotel owner was so nice and changed another good condition room with private bathroom for us ! Location is perfect next to the bus station and close to visiting place ! I like it !
Staff can not speak English !
except the location, nothing.
avoid this place, poor staff, don't speech any secondary language, extremely small rooms, noise during night, faulty hot water, no heater in winter, no air con in summer.
Location - we stayed in the apartment which is 200 m from the main building. Both are in a fantastic location. 4 bed apartment - modern, very recently re-furbished, clean, safe, comfortable. Excellent wifi.
4 bed apartment - hot water in shower is tricky but works.
The first room they gave us was smelling like pee. The reason was that the pee from the first floor was seeping to our room. When i complained about it they pretented as if they had no clue about it. When i insisted they changed our room. But in the next room there were lot of ants. There was no hot water at all. My boyfriend had to ask number of times for the hot water . Finally it was impossible to communicate with the staff because they knew little English . They were very impolite and arrogant because the cleaning lady knocked our room as if she want to fight with us and very arrogantly asked us about the ants in the dustbin. What was she trying to imply that we carried the ants in our luggage. Please dont stay in this hotel.
Shower just usable
Location is close to the bus terminal and the old city. Staffs are very friendly even some of them do not speak English.
Facilities are a blt old.
The Studio we had was away from the actual Pensao up the road with a great location,Wifi was strong, the Studio was roomy and had everything you would need. Owners very helpful.
Being on a busy road it was a noisy until really late. The pillows were too flat and soft for me.
We stayed in the self contained apartment, not Pensao I. It was an amazing location and awesome place, tonnes of space, kitchen basic though. No WiFi however owner tried his best to sort out but no success, we ended up making 'alternative arrangements' which mostly worked ok.
A bit noisy at night but closing windows mostly worked ok. In height of summer would be hot with no air con.
Nice location, very central, walking distance to everything. Clean room, clean shared bathroom, good WiFi signal.
My room had the window to the boulevard so could hear all the cars.
Close to the center. Frendly staff.
The oven was broken, no air conditioning, not even a fan, and it was really hot. No english or French spoken at the reception
Clean, comfortable, lovely old lady
Low price and good location.
Wash room in another floor. There were mosquitoes and we could not sleep good at night.
close to train station, good wifi
no english spoken by the staff
a bathroom in room, no "normal" door
Staff we're lovely and very helpful despite our language barriers! Location was bery central. Room was very clean.
The only issue was noise from the bus station next door--announcements woke us up in the morning.
This pensao was close to everything in the old part of the city, including the bridge to the other side. It was safe. The family members that run the business are helpful and very nice. The room was adequate and clean, with a nice, large bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. It is far from the main train station, so we took a taxi. We preferred to be near the old part of the city.
It is beside the bus station and the buses are announced on the loud speakers whenever they arrive or leave. It didn't start too early in the morning and stopped in the early evening.
Great location, apartment was very clean and comfortable, close to main attractions, shops and restaurants. The owner was very helpful and friendly. If I will go to Porto again I will stay in this hotel.
The location, attached to the bus terminal, was great. Lots of attractions were 5 min walking. The staff went above and beyond when we had a problem.
Communication was very difficult. The photos lead us to believe we would have access to a shared kitchen.
It's an old building, so especially if you go for the cheapest option in the attic do not expect luxury. To me it was all fine, but the ladies were complaining about the standard. Keep that then in mind.
Location was great, staff were kind and helpfull. Fast wifi, great value for money.
Noises from the nextdoor busstation could be disturbing to some.
Price is very low so we don't expect anything,if you are looking for a place to crash, you can consider this hostel.
