Room was ground floor, quite dark, shutters was closed. They opened onto a garden area and windows were clear glass. So, privacy in dark or show all in daylight.
We took a one week fly-drive vacation, to tour some of the battlefields of Peninsular War of 1808-1814. We did 1800km, seven hotels. All were fine, different to each other but comfortable and good value. This one is in the second city, area looks seedy but we had no issues. It was clean, bright, quiet, comfortable, good breakfast. The lighting in corridor and some rooms was slightly dim but maybe it is normal in a sunny area. Porto is a large city with trams, Tube, bus but little parking. Hotel parking is across the street in a staffed car-park, which closes midnight to 8am.
