The hotel has big and bright rooms with all the necessary comforts (including a big rain shower) in a lovelly restored house and some nice rooms in an annex in the garden. It is conveniently located in a quiet street 10 minutes walk from the city center or Trindade metro station and just 20 minutes walk from Ribeira. The owners are very friendly and love to have a chat to share all their insider knowledge of Porto. The breakfast is super - lots of choices and many fresh ingredients. We are sure to come back here next time in Porto!
The old wooden floors and staircase is a little noisy, but that just adds to the charm......
Noise from top floor.
Very friendly stuff, very good breakfast, beautiful desgine
A bit far from the center
central location, wonderfull service, good & reasonably priced food. room with a small terrace was very comfortable. underground parking is available very close, 10.50 EUR/day
The garden in the back (we had a room looking on to the garden); the breakfasts and the woman who served them; the lounge w/fruit, cookies and port; helpful, friendly staff; restaurant.
Helpfull staff Great location Wonderfull design
The staff were excellent. Very helpful in assisting us with locating our lost luggage. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant one evening and loved it. Good value for money. Breakfast was great.
One small thing - we would have preferred a proper double bed rather than two twins pushed together.
very nice small hotel, an old house renovated with a good taste for decoration. Very kind and polite staff. A nice breakfast. Perfect dinner!!!
the bath waw not so nicely cleaned and the towels were a bit old.
The way that they make you feel welcome and do everything with a smile The breakfast in incredible, never had such a nice breakfast in my life. The whole place is adorable and so peacefull, we loved the dog.
That we had to leave
Great Staff, very helpful. Great loft room. Good deal especially for three people. Pretty good location.
Only one key. Motion sensor light stays on for awhile so it can keep you up if you go the bathroom late at night.
Got welcome with a nice glass of port wine. They brought my suitcase to my room even if I told the lady that it was not necessary. Nice room with garden view and no direct neibourg.
Amazing place. Super nice staff. Highly recommend!
Owners and staff were extremely kind and helpful. Everything about hotel was tasteful and well-considered. Rooms had a contemporary design and were situated around a charming courtyard. Restaurant, which also served breakfast (included), was lovely with good food and indoor and outdoor tables.
Little flying bugs in the shower, which did not bite--perhaps screens are needed for windows. Possible to walk to scenic areas of City near river, although a bit of a hike (20-25 minutes).
The breakfast!! Fatima is a fantastic first thing in the morning hostess. Everything was so good and generously presented. The mornings. You could really appreciate what Favorita had created. A very stylish hideaway in Porto. All the staff were charming and gracious. Bed was comfortable. Only Port I got around to drinking on this trip was presented to us upon arrival! That was nice!
We were there over São João and there was a dinner party right outside our garden room until past midnight and the night before almost the same as they were entertaining a wedding party from 7 til late. Each night we stepped across party guests talking on the stairs up to our room before we entered, pulled across the shutters, pulled down the shades and slept despite the racket and light. That was ok. We could sleep. I had been looking forward to staying at Favorita for years. It was disappointing and not as I was expecting, and since I can't think of anyone that I know who would think that it was cool to stay in similar circumstances, I cannot recommend. If I had been told that they would be hosting a big party when I made my reservation, I could have decided to stay somewhere else. It was bad luck that I was there when there was so much going on. We only stayed the two nights and felt kind of interloper-y the first night.
Lovely, friendly & helpful staff, very spacious room and you most certainly feel at home here.
The decoration and good taste; good breakfast and the sympathy of the staff.
Really atmospheric and handy to tourist parts and shops. Friendly staff and (independent) car parking nearby.
No one would guess the little pearl behing the entrance in rather uninteresting street. I stayed in the room independent from the main building. Really nice. Sadly it was a business trip.
All staff lovely and could not have been more helpful. I kept forgetting to lock the room when we went out because I felt so at home. Room 6 with the balcony is definitely worth the extra few Euros as long as you can manage the stairs as its on the third floor.
Very friendly staff, advised us on interesting places to visit.
Very nice welcome, good tips. Beautiful and spacious room. Good restaurant.
It is just wonderful and unique. A place where you fell like home.
Great staff..good English spoken when we were there; delightful quiet stay in a garden room. reasonably priced dinner. (Not Monday) 10 mins walk to centre.
No hairdryer in room but we did not ask so probably was available.
