Everything. EVERYTHING was just perfect: location, people, view from the window, hotel is located just on the top of bairro alto (my favorite part of Lisboa). Nice food (for this amount of money). Everything was perfect - I would recommend that hotel for sure.

I didn't like that I only stayed for 1 night - that I regret for sure.

Location. Sight from 3rd floor over the town. French balcony. New, doubled windows = less noise. Large, hard bed. Nice flat pillow. Friendly, knowing staff. Lovely breakfast room with effective-nice staff. Effective change of towels in room + common toilet/shower.

Dirty carpets in my room 303. By the staff pre-reserved taxi to the airport 04.00 in the morning: didn't use taxa-meter / the rate was 22,50€ (compared to 14,55 upon arrival airport-pensao) - was it correct?

I like the location,near the Metro and train station. The staff in the breakfast room is very friendly though she doesn't speak English at all.

The old woman in the reception is very cold and unfriendly.

Location

Avoid the room next to the reception. The price for the rooms with bath (60E) is too high compared to the general price level in the city. You get better value elsewhere.

I got room on first floor, the carpet where dirty and was covered in mold in bath room area. Half of the light bulbs in room and bathroom were burned out. The room smelled and was very noisy. I booked 8 nights but I was able to stay only the first night before I checked in another hotel the next day. This hotel was way over priced for what it was. It is a perfect place for backpacker and people who don't mind staying in hostels. Never again.

Very clean and comfortable! Probably the first hotel I've stayed at where the towels and linens didn't smell of anything and were very clean. Great location, steps away from Miradouro de Sao Pedro (amazing views over the city!) and Elevador da Gloria. About a 10 minute walk to Rossio square, down a very steep street.

The breakfast was exactly the same every day. A croissant, bread, cheese, ham and cereal. It's ok for short stays, but I stayed for 5 nights and grew tired of it very quickly.

Nighttime manager was crabby. Construction on floor near our room. Water pressure poor.

I liked the wooden shutters at the windows which helped cut out street noise. Pretty clean. Wi-fi was available in the room. We also had decent pillows. Great location at the edge of the Bairro Alto.

Breakfast was really basic and a bit disappointing. Bit of a fiddle and no instructions on how to use the temperature control/air conditioning unit in the room - it was very cold when we visited.

Location was great:)Walking distance to most of attractions and about 7 minutes walk to the metro station and 2 minutes walk to excellent and not expenive sushi bar. Tapas bar just opposite hotel:) The staff was very friendly and helpful:)Most of the time was nice and quiet, so we were able to take a mid day nap and had a good sleep during the night. Cleaning ladies did a really great job. Generally very good.

Everyday same breakfast. I stayed 4 nights and I ate 4 identical breakfasts- which my stomach didn't like;)They don't serve any vegg or fruit for breakfast. And the dampness in our room with a big and smelly wall fungus that should be taken care of:(:(

A charming place to stay with gorgeous views of Lisbon. The person at the reception was really friendly and gave us great travel advice during our stay. On top of that it was super affordable!

The staff at Reception is absolutely First Rate! They are full of information, good will and friendliness!

This is old hotel has been able to renovate to meet modern standards without loosing traditional features: we had a huge bedroom with a stunning view over Lisbon, enormous beds, the staff on our floor working at high professional levels as it used to be in good old hotels, and also an entirely new bathroom, an effective heating system, a good tv equipment with lots of channels. All this with an unbeatable ration between quality and rates: our stay in Lisbon was great also due to this hotel.

I would make the key system more user friendly to guests staying in the same room but going to bed at different times. But really, it was a minor drawback for us.

The location is excellent. It's right next to the Bairro Alto area, and we chose Pensao Londres exactly for this reason. We were not disappointed, it's just a couple of minutes from the fun - perfect place to stay for a Friday and Saturday night in Lisbon. Also, although it's only a couple of blocks from the fun, the hotel itself is very quiet. The price was a little higher than similar places, but that's probably because of the location. The rooms are not great in terms of look, so it's not honeymoon material. The rooms are pretty spacious, the bathroom is pretty good and modern, and the beds comfortable.

The rooms didn't look great, although there was absolutely nothing wrong with them.

I really liked that they made you feel like family there. Everyone I encountered at the hotel was very friendly and made me feel welcome.
