Very good location, friendly personnel, service quality.
As the room was at the first floor, it was rather noisy in evenings.
very nice and helpful staff - thank you! excellent location cosy and clean room
This hotel is in a good neighborhood . The metro station Restauradores and Rossio train station to Sintra are a 20 min walk away which enables you to get to any part of the city quickly. The room was clean with spacious bathroom and working Wi-Fi. Staff was friendly, helpful and fluent in English Breakfast was basic
Has a small elevator but you still have to climb some stairs to get to it From the metro station Restauradores we had to take the funicular to reach the top of the hill and then we had to walk 10 min to the hotel Thin walls
The location is really good. The room olso had very pleasant view from the window. What we like most of all is that Bairro Alto is in 100 meters far away from the hotel.
A little bit strange atmosphere of home for the elderly. So we always wanted to sleep)) I don't understand why it is so..
The location was fairly good to be able to access most areas of the city.
Very poor access steep stairs to access lift. Difficult with heavy suit cases and small children. Were on second floor which was the same as reception so apart from street noise this floor was very noisy particularly with small children. Would not recommend this place for families.
Old style atmosphere
Everything was OK.
Location, helpful staff
difficult to find for the first time
Location is great! Nice old building City view and small balcony Great neighbourhood.
Staff was ok, but no more Breakfast is basic
* location close to tube & city centre * maids were ok
* room very tiny * bathroom built into the room, extremely small * room very noisy: noises from the street and from the hallway (whole night, really) made the sleep VERY uncomfortable * breakfast (will list you the whole menu) consisted of: 1) literally 1 bun 2) literally 1 croissant 3) literally 2 slices of cheese 4) literally 2 slices of mortadella 5) literally 1 cookie 6) and yes - you could make yourself a toast with jam or some cereals :) 7) and no, menu never changes :) 8) and yes, tea & coffee were available but hot water not always * receptionist when asked to get us a cab to the airport, said it would cost €18; we took one off the street and paid €8.75 * we left early on the last day and did't eat breakfast but we were charged for it; we notified the reception but were told there was no possibility to get 'eat to go'
Very friendly reception & staff, great location, very good value for money, comfortable room with high ceiling.
Location Comfortable en suite rooms Good breakfast buffet Lift Helpful staff Free internet Good value
Lack of lounge No bar or evening meals
Nice hotel interior. Friendly people, Good breakfast and good bakery under the hotel.
Regular daytime staff friendly. Good view of river and bridge. Good location and Wifi.
Night porter was miserable and uncommunicative. Breakfast was poor with weak coffee and poor service. TV signal kept dropping out.
Location. Walking distance to everything, but one have to be fit to go up and down the steep streets.
WiFi very poor quality. Breakfast very basic.
An inexpensive hotel right in the heart of the city with large bedrooms. (Ours had 3 double beds).
Great location and staff..
A little noisy at night but not bad..
Nice confortable room. Clean rooms.
Street noise. Windows had to be shut down at night. Streets too noisy.
Spacious room Super cleanliness Staff was very professional
Not much variety for breakfast Extremely noisy room facing the street, including a popular tapas restaurant/bar that played loud music until 6am on Sunday.
If you want to be in the old part of Lisbon this place is ideal. The main highlight is it's location. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
If you have any disability be aware you need to climb stairs to get to the reception. The bathroom was very small for someone my size, (6' 3", 280).
Great location and reasonable price with an OK breakfast included. Some rooms have a balcony
They need to change the carpets and you might see one or two small cockroaches. No hold for shower in shared bathroom.
comfort. Room was very small and outdated. bathroom on the floor was not specifically dirty but if you are even a little bit squeamish, then you'll be way outside of comfort zone while taking a shower there (there is actually a bath tab). The good thing about it is that it was always vacant. Breakfast was NOT good.
We liked our stay at Pensao Londres very much. It's in one of the most nicest neighbourhoods from Lisbon (Bairro Alto). There were a couple of very nice restaurants just around the corner. (Lost In India just across the street. And also Beef burger bar in a tiny street 2 minutes away) also a very nice park with an amazing view over the city and the castle with a tiny terras with lovely mojitos. For younger people there are facilities to go out, to chill and meet other people. With a 15 minute walk you're at Placa de comercio the place where you can get tickets for the city tours bus and the tram. Lisbon is a very nice city to visit.
The breakfast was not so special and the breakfast room was very full. But next to the entrance of the hotel is a little bakery. They have really good Pastel de Nata and other good stuff and not to forget very nice coffee for a little price
View over the city, tapas bar, bakery, cafe, bar, restaurants are all nearby. Friendly and helpful staff. Great character of interior and rooms. Would come again
Breakfast is a bit basic, but survivable ;-)
During our 6 nights stay we enjoyed a perfect location in bairro alto. Spacious room with nice balcony on the main street. Helpful and educated staff. Fair breakfast. Just 500 meters from lisbon's nightlife. A traditional portugese cafe on the groundfloor. I definitely recommend this hotel.
When we first got our room, it was in a very clean state. After the first couple of nights. We noticed that the floor is not vacuum cleaned anymore and the bed sheets are no more changed.
