Pestana Porto Santo Beach Resort & SPA - All Inclusive  

We already wrote a very positive reference after our first stay in this hotel 2010. The beach of the island and the still more or less conserved beauty of nature made it an easy decision to come back this year - and with the good experience made in this hotel the choice of accomodation was out of question. The service (except rooms cleaness, see below) is still very good, the hotel installations are well maintained. Still there are here and there some hints to see that the hotel tries to do some ecological efforts (garbage separation at the beach for example) but the clear statement from last year with fliers and posters in the main building's lounge disappeared.

Unfortunately the hotel switched this year to a "all-inclusive" concept what has several, negative, consequences: - The expensive but nicely decorated, concerning offered dishes very varied special theme evenings in the pool restaurant are not existing anymore. The pool restaurant is degregated to a simple bar in the evening. - The atmosphere in the hotel changed due to a different public (probably attracted by this concept): in the evening the people going for dinner dress in average less elegant (even if the hotel tries with some dress rules to avoid this) and the noise level during the night due to drunk people increased. Strictly said we had the impression that a lof the guests this year were just interested when there is the next opportunity for a meal and about animation. The impressive environnement which is offered by this island is not obvious to this clientele, perhaps even not respected. So the hotel became an island on the island for people who search their entertainement directly on the hotel site and not really by what is offered by their holiday destination. Compared to our stay last year we also had the impression that the rooms are cleaned with less care. Finally WIFI is not included anymore: it has to be paid per hour and once connected, the bought time has to be used up. In general we have the opinion that the hotel offering "all-inclusive" cannot claim anymore to be a 5 star hotel. I hope that the management comes to the same conclusion and that they decide to return to the original, more expensive, but better to this hotel and island fitting concept. Nevertheless we still recommend the hotel: it is still possible to escape the atmosphere during meal times just by staying on the beach or trying one of the several restaurants on the island.

The hotel is good, as well as food. Good location, nice pools and beautiful beach. We stayed 6 nights and that was just enought, because after that..you get tired of the same food and always the same thing day, after day. We went to a restaurant nearby, called pé na água that is excellent! Loved 'bolo do caco', a typical food in Madeira. The service was very good as well as the cleaning of the room.

A group for a medical congress, arrived..and that made everything worst. The noise at night and even during the day... The restaurant (pizzaria) booked for them... Let's say, it's not very nice for all the other guests.. There are at least other two things that we think should be improoved: 1-wireless internet is payed?!!! 2- Even with availability, they asked us to pau 40€ for a late check out (16h instead of 12h) plus 30€ for lunch (2pax). We were traveling with a 1year old baby, so it was not very nice to be asked to pay 70€ to be able to have a place for him to rest until the flight! We would undestand if there were no availability, but, they confirmed they had our room available,but, we had to pay. Let's say, they closed our stay in a bad and wroung way. So we recomend you to book a early flight to avoid late check out, and also checking if the is any group...

O empreendimento está muito bem localizado, mesmo junto à praia, é muito confortável, com óptimas infra-estruturas. Devo realçar a cordialidade o belissimo trabalho de equipe e profissionalismo de todo o grupo que trabalha na area de restauração. Aliás, dos diversos grupos de trabalho- . O Spa é também muito bom. Gostaria de deixar uma sugestão: porque não terem um transfer para o Golfe de Porto Santo? Era certamente uma mais- valia para os Golfistas...

Gostei imenso da simpatia sincera dos funcionários, dos jardins muito arranjados e bonitos e das piscinas. Os quartos eram espaçosos e confortaveis e a limentação esteve sempre excelente.

Beleza arquitectónica, integração na paisagem. E proximidade da praia. O pessoal é eficiente e simpático. Embora, pessoalmente, não estivesse interessada na animação, é de louvar o esforço e simpatia do grupo de animadores, que não se pouparam a esforços para tornar a estadia agradável.

Muito barulhento e, exceptuando o pequeno almoço, as refeições eram de fraca qualidade. All inclusive torna este hotel um destino demasiado massificado, não tendo, nestas circunstâncias, as qualidades esperadas de um hotel de 5 estrelas.

Da praia e do hotel propriamente dito.

O facto de num resort de tudo incluido em que um dos objectivos para quem frequenta é ir para a praia ter que se pagar espreguiçadeiras na praia. O buffet do hotel não tem muita variedade e torna-se ao fim de 2 ou 3 dias saturante

Os serviços prestados pelos funcionarios é excelente, de tal forma que seria injusto destinguir um entre todos, ficamos com a sensação que frequentaram todos a mesa escola.

A simpatia dos colaboradores em geral e a fantastica equipa de animação (competente, atenta e dedicada)para miudos e mais velhos.Valencias para as crianças.

A alimentação é abaixo do mediocre, a preocupação com o custo é mais do que evidente o que é preocupante para um hotel de 5 estrelas que se promove como hotel para familias com crianças.O Hotel é "indicado" para todos os turistas estrangeiros que querem comer e beber muito sem preocupações de qualidade.

A simpatia de todo o pessoal do hotel, o próprio hotel (zona das piscinas, com imensas flores, espaços amplos e relaxantes...)!

Instalaçoes, localização, atendimento.

Ter de pagar a cama de praia e chapeu, quando é um hotel de praia e o serviço supostamente "tudo incluido".

As infra-estruturas do Hotel e a simpatia e competência de todo o staffe. Embora a perfeição se tivesse notado, mais nos primeiros dias, em que a ocupação estava mais baixa.Tal situação leva-me a pensar se o serviço será tão bom na época alta.A Ver vamos!

Я отдыхала вместе с сестрой в сентябре 2011 г. Очень понравилась атмосфера доброжелательности, расслабленности и комфорта. Вкусная и разнообразная еда, приветливый персонал. Конечно, чудесный пляж и ОКЕАН - чистый и теплый. Номер у нас был двухкомнатный с приятным ненавязчивым дизайном и видом на бассейн. По вечерам тихо. В общем, настолько было все замечательно, что даже не знаю на чем особенно остановиться))) Единственное, если хочется совместить отдых на Порто Санто с отдыхом на Мадейре - может есть смысл остановиться на Мадейре - там больше достопримечательностей, а на Порто Санто приплыть на несколько дней на пароме. Паром приходит утром и отплывает обратно на Мадейру вечером.
